I'd think twice before using Miami Valley Hospital if you or a loved one is sick

The main Miami Valley Hospital campus including the South campus does a overall poor job in delivering health care. I recently had a family member admitted to both campuses and was shocked what I witnessed there. A lot of the Nurses, including RNs are not adequately trained, or required to undergo reoccurrence training. I witnessed more than several nurses not knowing how to use specific medical equipment they should have been trained to use which was really shocking to see. It was obvious that more than some nurses didn't even know what they were doing. Several nurses, at both campuses should not even be in nursing or working in the health care field to start with. These nurses came off being rude, lacked compassion, couldn't communicate or even seemed remotely interested in what they were doing. As far as the quality of doctors go. Most of the doctors were poor in communicating. They also assign a Hospitalist doctor. There is absolutely zero value to patients having a hospitalist doctor, but I'm sure MVH bills insurance companies for them. Overall, I believe Miami Valley Hospital as a whole does a poor job in delivering health care to patients in need, due to a poor systems engineering approach they have in place plus, they have way too many people involved in a patients care; a lot of them are non-essential including Physician Assistants and some doctors. Most of these people, especially the PA's I observed, did NOT act promptly enough to bring in a Specialist when they should have because it was obvious the patients' medical needs were outside the PA's medical knowledge. I felt that one of the PA's in particular just liked to hear themselves talk; maybe it was an ego thing for this PA. The PA eventually did bring in a Specialist to provide medical care, for my family member but only after I and my other family member' instance from having been told by a good ER doctor, who had the ability to communicate well to do so. By the time the Specialist got involved and due to some setbacks at the fault of several nurses it was too late for my family member.
I am really disappointed in Miami Valley Hospital after witnessing my family members medical care there. I regret I did not take my family member to Kettering hospital instead.

Letter to Steve B.

If this wasn't so serious and affected so many employees livelihoods, it would be funny. Why are this bunch of clowns still at the controls? I afraid it's now too late to do anything about this. The plane is too close to the mountain to take evasive action.
I'm lucky, I managed to jump ship in 2024 after 36.5 years and don't regret it one bit. I met so many good people at Xerox in that time and can remember when the staff were seen as the most highly prized asset the company had. To hear the CEO now suggesting the lack of success is down to those same employees and that they need to prioritise the company over their own well-being, clearly shows he has no idea of what it meant to be a Xeroid. The bulk of those he has insulted would have previously, (I've no doubt) worked unpaid hours to fix a customer machine or pulled out all stops to make sure equipment is delivered and installed before month/quarter/year-end. They would have been to ones working at weekends, putting their customer and the company before their families. So how have the suddenly become a lot of work-shy slackers? The answer, Steve B, is that they haven't, they have not been lead by a competent SLT for years. To all my ex-colleagues I say, I hope you have as good a Christmas as you can and that 2026 is kind to you. To Steve B I say, you had the golden goose and you and your fellow clowns have fu---d it up. I hope you have trouble sleeping at night.

Verizon just lost 13k subscribers

It so annoying that they even try to sell Verizon services to people that they laid off . "you are terminated, but you are eligible for 50% discount" seriously! get out of here. Verizon will lose even more subscribers with all these lay offs. They dont have the best service and they are the most expensive. stupid a--holes

Applicant Job Security Compromised

There is a significant HR policy violation in the retail banking unit. District and branch managers are conducting "backdoor background checks" by calling applicants' current employers to solicit references. This practice is entirely unprofessional for U.S. Bank Management and creates an unacceptable risk by potentially exposing applicants' job search and placing their current employment in danger.

Fake Equipment Leases? Kickbacks? Lions and tigers and bears?

Ruh-Roh! Who knew leasing could be so complicated?

“The lessees signed on to the deals between August 2022 and December 2023 in exchange for cash rebates that Xerox characterized as kickbacks, the complaint said. Xerox said if it had known about the rebates, it would not have paid the invoices.“

Ethics team is a joke

I know multiple people who filed factual ethics complaints and these were dismissed with no action being taken. Is HR behind this charade?

It used to not be this way. The last couple of years has been a s&$@ show with HR and Ethics. Anyone know what’s happening there in HR or Ethics or both teams?

Hey Stankey -- I will be looking for some of that guarantee money . . .

AT&T was sc--wing up my broker's ability to authenticate my account so I Iost some money on a trade opportunity this afternoon because I could not get into my account. It is going to be a little more than the $0.37 you paid me in guarantees the last time AT&T created connectivity problems.
