It should be all about the athletes, and the amazing action sequences, then you got that fat lipped prost---te standing there doing nothing, and they had to repeat her name a bunch of times at the start. She literally made the entire thing into cheap garbage.

One of the worse collabs
I've seen post on here dissecting and criticizing some of the collabs Nike has at the moment. Some of which has been relatively successful, like the Travis Scott collab. I haven't seen anyone pick apart the Drake line tho. That may have been one of the worst investments by Nike.
Nocta has really been a lackluster for the Nike and considering how big of an artist Drake is, he's never been someone people looked to for style, like never. Definitely wasted opportunity there.
Nielsen isn't dead!
I spent close to two decades at Nielsen before my "demise." The one thing I could say for Nielsen during all those years was the company was NOT going to go under! Lol. So many companies out there hang on by a string - and that's some real stress for employees. I've been involved in the ad measurement game since the early 90s (even while in college). The demise of Nielsen has been predicted for years but never really happens. This article is prob the best I've read out there explaining why. Well worth the half hour read if you're still in the biz or just an outside over the hill observer like myself. Enjoy https://new.adotat.com/p/the-nielsen-bonfire-who-s-holding-the-match
Recent Layoffs in the WK NY office

hey EH I got a great idea for NIke!
Let's go back to on Nike catalog and bring back all the classic shoes and reintroduce them and put them on the pot and create all different kind of crazy color way and bring in rap artists and celebritis that has nothing to do with athletics and do a "collabo"!
What? What is that you say?
You already tried that to death and now you burned the whole market, toasted really well?
Oh, I am sorry, I was not tuned in for last 20 years.
EH you are touchy and sensitive these days.

Chevron Blames California on Highway Billboards: “Sacramento policies did this. Now you pay more.”
- Chevron Signs In Contra Costa Blame California Politicians For High Gas Prices
April 21, 2026 - 8:00 AM
Drivers filling up at Chevron stations across the region are being met with a bold and unmistakable message: “Sacramento policies did this. Now you pay more.”
The large signs, recently installed at multiple locations, feature an eye-catching image of a car wrapped in fuel hoses – a visual meant to symbolize the burden of rising gas prices. Beneath the headline, smaller text claims that California politicians are prioritizing foreign oil over local jobs and lower costs, placing the blame for high fuel prices squarely on state leadership.
The signage campaign appears designed to spark conversation – and controversy – among motorists already feeling the pinch at the pump. With California consistently posting the highest gas prices in the nation, the message taps into a growing frustration among drivers.
Adding to the push, each sign includes a QR code directing viewers to additional information. Chevron branding is visible, indicating the campaign is backed by the oil giant, though it stops short of directly advocating for specific legislation.
The rollout comes amid ongoing discussions in Sacramento over energy policy,
environmental regulations, and the state’s transition away from fossil fuels. Critics of current policies argue that regulations and refinery constraints contribute to higher prices, while supporters maintain those measures are necessary for long-term environmental and public health goals.
For now, the signs are doing exactly what they’re intended to do – getting people’s attention. Whether they shift opinions or policy is another question entirely, but at the pump, they’re hard to ignore

Tom Brady
Remember when vz paid Tom Brady hundreds of thousands of dollars to go to HQ and say we were winners immediately after a VSP and a year before the biggest layoff ever? And during a period of losing big time to T-Mobile? Hilarious. Smoke and mirrors are the foundation of this mess and nothing has changed since.
Boston marathon ad..
This is the kind of line Nike used to drop all the time and nobody really pushed back on it
Not because it was safer back then but because the brand had enough weight that people read it as confidence instead of taking a shot at people
That cushion just isn’t there right now
So now it lands like we’re poking at part of the running community instead of speaking to something aspirational and yeah people are gonna react to that
Honestly it doesn’t even feel like a strong point of view it just feels like we’re trying to be a little edgy because we don’t really have anything better to say
And when that’s the case it shows pretty quickly
All others welcome. Nile not even tolerated.
More ad campaigns with exclusionary b.s.
Hot. Mess.
Wow. Just ... WOW.
Walkers tolerated ad
That ad speaks to what Nike is all about. The exclusive passes, the no other brands allowed, the egotistical ads. People are not buying the bullsh-t anymore. There’s simply a lot out there and nobody needs to be talked down to.

Double standard
So VZ does an ad with the Heated Rivalry guy and the CMO talks about his butt(?). Can’t imagine the backlash if the former CMO had Sydney Sweeney in an ad and made references to her assets….
But of course we know things like that only go one way….

Sabre rebrand looks mighty similar to Aven Hospitality's rebrand
I KNOW the marketing team sht a brick when the Aven Hospitality rebrand came out weeks before the Sabre rebrand...with the same color scheme, imagery, and style. What's funny, is they used the same agency, so they can't all play d-mb, right? The fact that millions went to an agency that just copied and pasted a different company's project and said "good enough" is insane. Once you add the similar logo from Sabre Industries - nothing is unique about the Sabre rebrand. In fact, just this morning I saw the Sabre Industries logo with a blue background and thought, "I don't remember blue being in the color palette with the burnt orange" cough* excuse me, terracotta.
Did we really bring in a CMO who thinks her sh*t doesn't stink to look like an amalgamation of other companies? It's time for her and her high and mighty constituents she brought over from TP to get going.

More Mike Katz Lies
Mike Katz, brought up in the Mike Sievert school of lies and bullsh-t, likes to talk a big game on stage about how worried our competitors are about us, but he has failed to mention that:
- AT&T won their appeal against T-Mobile for deceptive advertising claims, claiming that our services were so much cheaper than our competitors, and T-Mobile was told to discontinue these adds.
- AT&T won their appeal to the NARB against T-Mobile for its deceptive advertising claims related to T-Satellite and T-Mobile was told to modify or discontinue these ads.
- T-Mobile is going to lose the lawsuit with AT&T related to "Easy Switch," as this is obviously illegal, and were the roles reversed, we would definitely be suing them.
- T-Mobile is no different than any of its competitors. It is not unique or interesting in any way and their ads SU-K! Someone should let that liar, Mike Katz know this.

People complain how things are … don’t you realize things are exactly why management on high wants? Most of these problems could be fixed by Friday if they wanted to. Guess what? They don’t. Churn-n-Burn is what they want. Blame the employees. Keep service as low as they can without the DOIs complaining to earn maximum bonuses. They couldn’t care about the customers. Meema and Pappy who’ve been with us since the Nixon administration aren’t going anywhere. Need new policies? There’s always rejects The General dropped to add for 6months to a year to show growth. Whatever the advertising (either on tv or from your TM or SM) know that the opposite is true.
Have Xerox advised Aston Martin F1
It is incredible that as soon as Xerox sponsor the Aston Martin F1 Team their performance goes backwards.
Despite having Adrian Newey join the team, the car is at the back of the grid ahead of the 2026 season.
No doubt the CMO will be smiling and pressing the flesh at as many F1 races this year as he can.
Lovely guy.
Might even take his sons with him.

Good job, marketing and whoever approved the latest commercial. Marketing Waste
We’re spending tens of millions of dollars sponsoring and advertising around the College Football National Championship while the company is under pressure, the stock is lagging, and leadership keeps talking about “discipline” and “focus.”
A single 30-second spot costs roughly $1M, and full sponsorship packages run $25–35M+ per year. That’s real money being burned on branding theater at a time when we supposedly “can’t afford” bonuses, flexibility, or meaningful investment where it actually matters.
If cost control is truly a priority, this is exactly the kind of spend that should be questioned first.

Why?
All We Are Is A Logo In A Sporting Event
Why is it i can't watch any sporting event without seeing gobs of att product shots. I mean, FFS... the headphones, the endzone cameras, halftime shows, pregame shows, post-game, trophy presentation. There's no end to how much we spend on trash that nobody cares about.
Who really believes that ATT stadium makes us a better company? Maybe if the cowboys didn't su-k, that would be something. But, seriously.. I am so tired of seeing at&t on everything. How many employees do we fire to have our stupid logo on every side of the coaches headset? It doesn't work you id--ts! Our products su-k because you would rather have a stupid stadium than have world class products at a reasonable price.
Why can't we just be the best at voice and data? What have these endless sponsorships ans placements done to make this a better company?

VAB report isn't good for the future of Nielsen
Ratings across 158 TV networks are down this year by an average of 18% to 30% under Nielsen’s new Big Data + Panel measurement, the Video Advertising Bureau (VAB) told The Current.
The declines in the highly prized 25 to 54 demographic — now at levels not seen in 23 years when compared with panel-only measurement — break down three ways: an 18% drop overall, a 23% decline for cable networks and 30% plunge when news and sports programming are excluded.
VAB President Sean Cunningham said the organization began uncovering these issues in late October after digging into the data. He added that Big Data + Panel shows unusually high variance, overreporting or underreporting ratings by roughly 20%. Some networks, he said, are experiencing statistical aberrations across as much as 60% of all viewing hours.
This misreporting — especially for the valuable 25 to 54 demo — has major implications for both buy and sell sides. Incomplete, unstable measurement suppresses CPMs for publishers, draining ad revenue for the already shrinking traditional TV ecosystem. On the buy side, agencies struggle to plan, forecast or trust audience guarantees.
“There is an enormous structural defect sitting in the trading currency where the 25 to 54 demographic has been systemically crushed by all of the biases inside of the way Nielsen’s calculating Big Data + Panel,” Cunningham told The Current.
When asked to comment, Nielsen responded: “This report is seriously flawed and manipulated. From what we have seen, the VAB incorrectly pulled our data and the bureau does not know how to do a proper ratings analysis. The VAB is wasting the time and money of its members."
A source close to one of the TV networks contacted by The Current added: "We went into Nielsen Big Data + Panel knowing that there could be challenges, which is why we’ve evaluated it closely from the start. As we’ve continued working with the data, and after reviewing the VAB report, we’re seeing additional discrepancies that deserve a closer look."
Cunningham said the VAB stepped in only after publishers exhausted all options trying to work with Nielsen, efforts that led to frustration over what he described as “layer upon layer of voodoo math” embedded in Nielsen’s methodology.
He believes Nielsen is weighing its 43,000-person panel too heavily, allowing it to dominate signals compared to its 45 million big data sources. He argues this leads to an oversaturation of viewers aged 55 and over in the reported ratings.

29th Most Influential People in Healthcare
They say his highest spot ever. I am wondering how much advertising we need to buy to get him to the top 5. Maybe we can pay a consulting company millions of dollars, so they can give us a strategy to get there. We can do it!
