@c3 I can’t believe I have to tell you this again. 5 day RTO is not an “industry standard”. In telecom we are the ONLY one doing 5 days. Most others are fully remote, and some are hybrid of 2 days per week. As for the larger standard across all business - over 80% operate in a fully virtual or hybrid model. What you’re calling a standard is really a corner case. Troll.
This isn’t the layoff forum anymore it’s somewhere between the “I’m in a low level position and want to work 3 hours a day or less and get full benefit” forum or the “I didn’t bother finishing high school and hope they don’t automate my truck drivin’ job” forum.

Layoffs happen almost every month now. There is a hiring freeze for most groups. A lot of jobs are being offshored or they are bringing in h1bs. Stanks was just talking about all the AI improvements and efficiencies on TV so I suspect we’ll get a big announcement soon about a large layoff to back up that.
