Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

People solutions more like people problems

I have lost track of the number of times I have witnessed misconduct from hr/people solutions. Their sole purpose is to protect management/c-suite at all costs. Don't waste your time with them. Ignore the bad behavior until you can't take it anymore and decide to take your talents elsewhere.

@ag

Every single one. I’ve never heard it go well.

Karen’s gonna Karen.

For the HR Karen’s reading this; if no one challenges you… or gives you feedback… they are willfully disrespecting you. They don’t trust you enough to grace you with honesty.

We’re all just kissing a-s just enough to make sure we can pay our bills; and hopefully can be saved by you in the inevitable next round of layoffs.

Everyone who has ever complained to HR in their career has learned the hard way that once you go to HR, your days are numbered at that company until you either quit on your own or you are let go. There will be no career growth afterward; instead, there will be regression and a very hard road ahead. You might as well just quit and forget about ever going to HR.

You should think of HR more as an extension of a legal function working on behalf of the company.
