We can't have more layoffs. We've already let too many experienced people go and replaced them with new grads. The impact is obvious to anyone with eyes and it's only getting worse. More layoffs can truly harm the company and the bottom line in the long run.

Hydro Extrusion USA is closing its manufacturing facility in Richland Parish. The closure will result in the elimination of 226 jobs. The company officially notified the Louisiana Workforce Commission about the layoffs. This decision impacts the local economy significantly. The plant is scheduled to cease operations next year.

The U.S. Forest Service has terminated over 3,000 employees nationwide. Twelve of these former employees are from the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie in Illinois. So sorry for those who have been impacted this round so far. Any insights on the package they are offering this round of lay offs? I know previous layoffs were two weeks of severance for each year of service. Is it still the same?

Why do some companies let their middle management( specifically not C Level ) drag on their positions for a decade when there is no credible metric to prove that their decision making over that period has not created a zilch of solid impact on the bottom line.

Anyone have any suspicions as to how Provider Data Management teams across the company will be affected? My team (Wellcare Medicare of Connecticut) was already cut significantly once in 2024 because we exited the Vermont market then, and this year we were combined with Maine under one manager.
Without us and what we do, providers can't get enrolled, credentialed and paid, and members don't know who they can even go to see, so I'd say we serve a very critical function. But I know that means little to nothing at the end of the day in all of this. My manager has already said that if she has any say in the cuts at all that me and one other person are definitely not going, but obviously no guarantees that she will have any authority there. 🤷🏻‍♂️
