Lately I’m seeing H1B visa holders are pulling their unqualified spouses via H4 visas and also pulling OPT visas.
Where they are layoffs locals and our children’s are stressed with unknown future.
GM offices looks like Indian call centers.
How can we stop this ?
Looks like a serious issue everywhere!!

Is USAA renewing H1B visas in 2026?
Curious to know if they are still renewing the H1B in 2026 ? Or they have stopped doing the renewals too?
I know they have stopped sponsoring work visas for new roles.
New Wave of Layoffs Coming
Well, what leaders, especially certain SVPs, VP’s, and Sr. Directors, have been waiting for has happened. The $100K H1B visa fee has been blocked by a Federal Court. The wheels are already turning in RR and Austin to start lining up all the relocations from India to the US. While those are in process, a new large round of US citizen layoffs is in the works. My SVP is an Indian, and I just overheard his conversation with his Indian Sen. Director to start looking at Bangalore candidates to consider moving. It’s never going to end!
Any current/previous H1B guilty of using fake degrees (from any country) should have visa/greencard REVOKED

H-1B VISA INVESTIGATION
Nearly 7 million visas processed since 2015
➡️ 70% from India
➡️ 12% from China
🔹 A former official told Newsweek 80-90% of applications from India involved fraudulent documents or unqualified applicants
🔹 A network of universities selling fake degrees is now under investigation with one university allegedly selling 36,000+ fake degrees
H-1Bs Behaving Badly
Does anyone else endure bad behavior by H-1Bs in the office? My office is chock full of them and they routinely speak at volumes that are more suitable for an NFL game. They also stare at me way too long and it makes me uncomfortable.
H1B and L1 Scam is Out
Bloomberg says:
Tata consulting services has brought 6500 L1 visas to USA from India.
L1 is for 'Managers'. Many were not managers at all l, just a cheap labor with fake titles used to bypass immigration and take Local jobs. Also submitted about 25k H1B applications.
Surprisingly most of these visa holders are in Ford, Stellantis and GM
H1B Questions Still Exist
Walmart has approx 2300-2400 H1B employees. That’s thousands of US workers that could have a job, but don’t, because Walmart would rather bring in cheap, foreign labor.
TCS brought in 6,500 L-1A “managers” to America from India
Tata Consultancy CEO brought in 6,500 L-1A “managers” to America from India.
Bloomberg says: many weren’t managers at all, just cheaper labor with fake titles used to bypass H-1B rules and fees.

Visa takeover is real!!
Lost my Job to an H1B visa candidate.
My grandfather and my dad worked here and I tried to continue the legacy..
Sadly got let go and asked to train an H1B. Now my team is full of H1B and H4 through LL4.
During his training, He confessed he didn't have experience and somehow he managed the interview.
Wow!!
Union Pacific is favoring H1B over citizens
Company is retaining H1B and prioritizing visa holder over citizens. Use USCIS tip to report the abuse .
This is Outrageous!!
India's government is upset about H-1B delays because their citizens are "stranded back home"?
This is getting worse everyday.. millions of locals are getting effected.
From H-1B to Canada - Growing Concerns Over Cross-Border Remote Work Practices
There have been reports of some H-1B employees at CVS, particularly those approaching visa renewal periods, being encouraged to relocate to Canada after the company decided not to continue visa sponsorship or pursue employment-based green card processing. In certain situations, these contractors reportedly continue working remotely for CVS from Canada shortly after relocating.
This raises important questions regarding cross-border employment arrangements, immigration compliance, and tax obligations in both the United States and Canada. Remote work from Canada for a U.S.-based employer may require appropriate authorization and adherence to Canadian immigration and labor regulations.
Concerns have also been raised about whether all necessary Canadian work authorization and compliance processes are being consistently reviewed or monitored for individuals in these arrangements. Given the potential legal and regulatory implications, this is an area that may warrant greater transparency and oversight.

Stop H1B, H4 and OPT visas
My team is Full of H1B and H4 visas upto LL5 and they pull their own and most of them don't even qualify.
I have seen many qualified locals were let go just to replaced by visas. How does this even fair? How can we stop this?
H1b sponsorship
Been hearing rumors that h1b sponsorship is dead in cvs now. Does this apply to all roles? Or IT excluded?
charter should be sued in a class action over this...
you can’t keep bringing in h1b workers and h1/l1 contractors, then turn around and lay off u.s. citizens and permanent residents in the same job profiles like nobody is going to notice.
maybe there is some legal explanation buried in the paperwork. maybe.
but from the outside, it looks pretty simple: replace domestic workers with visa-dependent labor, call it “restructuring,” and hope everyone is too tired or too scared to push back.
someone should be looking at this closely. not with another internal review. with subpoenas.
They laid off the American Tech Workers on my team
But kept the H1B/OPT/visa holders.
Will the new green card rules affect layoffs
Thoughts on this? As H1Bs have to go back and apply? Or will they just outsource more to India and keep them there?
20+ IT Employees laid off to outsource to India and Canada
On Wednesday over 20 employees in IT were laid off. Management bringing in replacements on H-1B visas from India and Canada.
No H1B laid off
FIS has been preserving the H1B visa employees.
The team had several layoff of US citizen and some were transferred to Cognizant, but all employees on work visa were left untouched.
Apparently FIS loves Indian origin employees
salt lake city RIF
The Salt Lake City office is laying off American employees while retaining Indian married couples, both on H-1B visas, whose positions are being justified through fraudulent job postings — listing fabricated or inflated "DE-demonstrated experience" requirements that don't reflect actual job duties, solely to manufacture H-1B/Green Card eligibility.
Just search #H1B on twitter people are tired of the invasion, and outsourcing to sub standard areas of the world. Change is brewing.
Laid off? See this post!
If you are a U.S. citizen or green card holder and feel you’ve been unjustly treated—whether through biased performance evaluations, wrongful termination, or being passed over for promotions—especially when H-1B workers are in your team, know that there are legal channels ready to support and protect you. Your rights deserve to be defended, and you don't have to stand alone. You have a voice, and there are avenues to fight for the fair treatment and justice you are entitled to:
U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
The EEOC stands as a safeguard against workplace discrimination. If you’ve been unfairly dismissed or treated differently because of the presence of H-1B workers in your team, you have every right to file a charge with them. No worker should be sidelined or mistreated.
U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
The DOL ensures that U.S. workers are protected against any unfair treatment. Employers are legally obligated to prioritize American workers for hiring and retention. If you’ve been bypassed for an H-1B worker or unfairly dismissed, the DOL will investigate violations and hold employers accountable.
State Fair Employment Practices Agencies (FEPAs)
Many states have their own agencies to fight workplace discrimination and unfair dismissal. These agencies are there to ensure that U.S. workers’ rights are respected. Check your state’s official website to find out how you can take action.
National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
The NLRB steps in when unfair treatment involves collective bargaining or labor issues. If you believe that U.S. workers are being dismissed in favor of H-1B employees, the NLRB can investigate and take action to ensure fair labor practices.
Contact Your Elected Officials
You have the power to demand accountability from your elected representatives. Write to your Congressman or Senator to raise your concerns. They can fight for your rights, bring attention to the unfair treatment of American workers, and push for legislative changes to prevent such abuses.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
It is illegal for employers to displace U.S. workers in favor of H-1B workers or to keep H-1B workers on staff while laying off U.S. employees. If you have evidence of this, you can report these violations to USCIS for thorough investigation and enforcement.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
The presence of H-1B workers from countries that are adversarial to U.S. national security can expose companies and industries to significant risks—from intellectual property theft to potential espionage. If you suspect that there’s foreign influence or other national security threats in your workplace, it’s important to report this to ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
If you suspect that H-1B workers or employers are engaging in illegal practices, such as manipulating hiring processes, violating labor laws, or committing immigration fraud, you must report it to the FBI. These coordinated efforts can harm the integrity of our workforce, and the FBI is equipped to investigate and bring justice to any parties involved in criminal activity.
American workers deserve fairness, respect, and opportunity. If you feel you’ve been unfairly treated because of the presence of H-1B workers, you have the right to stand up for yourself and fight for your rightful place in the workforce. Don’t stay silent—take action today, and help restore the integrity of our job market.
Multiple reports from the grape vine - senior leadership found out today.
It looks like the hammer might be dropping tomorrow. Multiple reports all along the vine are saying the meeting did in fact happen this morning - informing senior leadership what / whom is to be let go. Does days in the office matter? Does commits? Tenure? H1B status? Pay? No one knows the parameters, but the meetings with the boys upstairs have started.
H1Bs firdt
Citi tampa analytics and data science teams keeps promoting only H1B folks and stalls American workers and permanent residents. Hope the America first movement move to CITI Tampa as well.
File complaints with USCIS against H1B
It’s a fraud, Wellsfargo firing American at the same time hiring H1B. This is not legit.

“The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant, employer-sponsored visa for foreign professionals in "specialty occupations" requiring at least a bachelor’s degree to address labor shortage”
AI + H1B + No Work
Part of IT Marketing & Sales. We just have way too many people doing nothing. Everyone just acts they are super busy but there is no real work. All of our code is written by AI now and everyone on my team is H1B. If GM was able to layoff 500-600 people then we could probably do some clean up across Ford. Design, Development, Testing is all driven by AI and yet I don't understand why we are hiring like it is 2018. One of the best engineer on our team left recently and we are operating in chaos. Leadership thinks they are right and do not listen to team members. Its pure CHAOS!!!
H1B Emp - Next is your turn
Move before it get worst
What’s the point?
How long do Americans have left before AI, offshore workers and H1B visas take the last of the jobs left?
H1B Salaries & H4 Changes - Upcoming
H1B and other immigrant hiring salaries are to be revised again and proposal to stop spouse work visa's( H4 visa holders) are in progress. This might give some relief to economy in tough market conditions.
When H1b visa cost more chances are more for employers to hire US students, Citizens and Nationals.
STOP Hiring Foreign Nationals for SMALL Chunks/Chores and Support only High Talented Hires.

Expose and Report H1B Visa violations*
- Both the individuals but more importantly Humana for knowingly turning a blind eye and not checking each year that Visas are up to date and maximum allowed time a person can remain in the United States in an H1B Visa. This is not intended to be cruel bit rather intended to save and protect American Citizen’s jobs and future employment in this country.
Information regarding Maximum Time:
The maximum time a person can remain in the United States on an H-1B visa is generally six years, typically granted in two 3-year increments. However, this period can be extended beyond six years if a permanent labor certification or I-140 petition has been pending for over 365 days, or if an I-140 is approved but a green card is not immediately available.
Key Aspects of H-1B Time Limits:
- Initial Limit: Initial H-1B status is up to 3 years, with extensions allowing a total of 6 years.
- Recapture Time: Time spent outside the U.S. during the H-1B period (vacations, business trips) can be "recaptured" to extend the 6-year limit.
- Extensions Beyond 6 Years: Individuals with a pending or approved employment-based green card process can extend their H-1B status, often in 1 or 3-year increments, under AC21 regulations.
- Reset Requirement: After hitting the 6-year limit, the visa holder must generally live outside the U.S. for at least one full year before becoming eligible for a new 6-year H-1B term.
- 240-Day Rule: If a timely extension is filed, you may continue working for up to 240 days beyond your current expiration date while the petition is pending.
Disclaimer: Immigration regulations can be complex. Please consult with a qualified immigration attorney or USCIS for specific cases.

Did the role go to H1B?
I am a US citizen. I did an interview for Lead IT Analyst role. It is a remote role in the US. The 2 interviewers were Indians (Telugus). I answered each and every question correctly and I didn’t get the role.
Could the role have gone to someone from their community?
Is there a way to find out?
H1B rules for layoff
In 2024, no H1b were impacted but the rest. What is company policy? Is it legal protection for H1b?
GREAT NEWS!!!!
Today HR announces that CVS will no longer support H1b or any other visa type to hire foreigners.
American jobs for Americans!!!! YES!!!!!!
