Evolving How We Work - GIS email

“Starting September 1, DXC is introducing a global expectation that associate managers and above who live within 40km of a DXC office will be on site at DXC office or a customer location at least two days per week” Question. So i don’t need to be on... — read more

Try to do right, get kicked for it

Doesn’t matter how hard you work or what you pull off. The second something goes sideways, they’ll hang you out to dry. Management’s got no guts, they just like to pass the buck while padding their own pockets. I hate this place.

Another $10 million gone

Boville will receive a separation payment and benefits as outlined in the company’s 2025 proxy statement, under the terms for non-change of control executive officer severance.

Why do I even care?

The pay’s a joke, and you can work your a-s off and still never get a raise - or, god forbid, a promotion. They’d do me a favor if they just showed me the door.

The purpose of RTO is to make you go away

Plain and simple. It’s one of the cheaper ways to get rid of the people. Never mind that implementation in other companies has demonstrated that best leave the first, because they obviously have more options. Not that DXC cares about keeping the ones... — read more

Promotions here feel like a myth

Been told it’s coming for over a year, but nothing. At this point, I’m convinced merit has nothing to do with it, instead you need connections to move up - be it friends or family. Anyone else stuck in this loop?

Return to office

Looks like it's finally here...depending on your country location it's different numbers of days. That last thing that made anyone want to stay here gone.

Is it just me?…..

Is it just me or has the micromanagement gotten worse? Having to fill in time on Replicon, Workday and TAR now? Needing 3 levels of approval for RTA’s. Having to fill in Replicon on a Monday for the following week before you’ve even worked it... — read more

Out now

So VR'D end of May and now been paid, although taxation was more than expected. No matter, claim back thru HMRC. Products worthwhile selling = none Project work = all legacy, nothing new Management = All promoted beyond their competence. Delivery =... — read more

Thoughts on the 40-Hour Training Commitment

I’m more than willing to commit to 40 hours of training per year if it’s likely to make a meaningful difference to the work we do or how we’re valued—professionally or financially. Right now, I’m struggling to see the benefit. Too often, we’re pushed... — read more

How is the new CMO doing? coming up on 12 months

June is hiring season for CMOs at DXC. Our latest CMO, Kaveri Camire, was announced on June 3, 2024. Before her we had Mary. And before her, we had Brenda Tsai who announced as CMO on June 10, 2021 and she lasted 13 months So . . . how is it... — read more

Micromanagement galore

If you enjoy being micromanaged by people who haven’t updated their skills since dial-up, this is the place for you. You can forget about career growth, you’ll spend years jumping through hoops just to keep middle management happy. Bright, driven... — read more

UK VR?

Anyone managed to wangle VR in the U.K. lately? Asking for a friend.

Question about AT&T/Intermountain health accounts

I ran into someone who mentioned that DXC was losing a lot of money trying to support AT&T's Power Edge servers and delivering poor service quality. Can anyone here shed a little light on this? In particular I'd like to understand when this contract... — read more

Another results decline

Most of the metrics are down and the forecast ahead is dim, earnings per share gone from $0.8+ to 0.60+. Even the jewel GBS declined revenues, thats a first. Free cash flow forcecast down. The stockmarket saw through the bull and the share price... — read more

We are changing the name of GIS

As if that magically going to fix everything. "Were going to be closer to the client", are they going to get rid of all those middle managers who keep putting the blocks in? The previous CEO made all the same noises, reducing the layers and getting... — read more

A potted history, and what of the future...

DXC was formed in April 2017, at which time, as a global IT company, it had revenues of some $25 billion, with some 6000 clients, and 170,000 staff. Since then, under the expert guidance and tutelage of three CEO's, the company reported revenues... — read more

Leave

Why would anybody still be working for DXC? Have some self respect and leave, you have permission. There is a better life waiting for you, you simply need to walk out the door and then never look back.

How far we have fallen…

Do we really work for a company that has a guy like Cameron Art in a leadership role? His reputation at IBM was historically bad. A simple Google search would have shown anyone looking what we were getting. He is the only person I’ve ever seen to... — read more

Are service line meetings happening?

Apart from the Snr Leads doing town halls, have any service line meetings happened recently? All I see is cancellation on the last minute for everything. Multiple meetings cancelled. What’s brewing?

Appraisal feedback?

Anyone learned their appraisal ratings? Not that it matters much, I’m just curious if the imbecilic DXC leadership have managed to do something right in terms of timings to deliver grades.

Fraudulent Managers

Managers who took money from people raises and gave them to other people last year should be fired. Some folks got 0% because their managers manipulated the merit scheme. After working hard all year their merit got siphoned to other people, totally... — read more

Managers playing the game

I found out my manager gave me a 1.7% rise despite knowing full well I’m on next to nothing, legacy staff here. And gave an ex grad nearly 5% on the last pay review despite me having a much better appraisal rating. I wouldn’t consider myself old... — read more

Is it this bad everywhere?

People often say to me you know it's the same everywhere. I'm sure everywhere has it's issues - but not quite like DXC. You don't find a constant rant from Cap Gemeni or ATOS feeds on this site. DXC staff from the bottom through to some senior... — read more

Clown of DXC Useless S Brock

I hear the useless Brock held one of his spin calls. On recent merit awards said he took money from people and gave it to others. He basically inferred it will be no money for experienced folk however good they are or what they produce. He doesn't... — read more
