@t4 Don't like it, then leave for something better you are a fu-king cry baby
@we you bunch of pssies couldn't organise a pss up in a brewery! Everyone in dxc needs to join the Unite union in the UK. Then vote to strike, walk out and..err nothing will happen, so they'll no we do absolutely f*ck all!
Only three! You luck b*stard! I haven't had one in 14 years. But luckily I get to do pretty much nothing all day, every day.
The industry increasingly anticipates that traditional IT roles will become obsolete. Why invest in that obsolescence! With the rapid progression of AI—now capable of generating code, and deploying systems in minutes - your job as an IT professional is doomed.
However what the company fails to recognise is our clients haven't got a clue what they need. The real skill is in understanding the problem and envisaging the right solution. And then having enough skill to be able to tweak AI's attempt so it's actually useful. But DXC is quite happy for that skillset to walk out the door and retire 10+ years early than attempt ride next shift in IT. Lets face it all their courses on the topic are so noddy it added no value at all.
You need to join us in Networks, they dont mess with us. Years of going with a raise can't continue action needs to be taken.
If you keep doing for nothing they will keep taking. We prefer do nothing for a something, until that something is raised.
If you like most in delivery haven’t had a pay rise in 5 years your take home earnings have fallen by 25% with inflation.
Most contracts include annual cost of living increases so company is now charging 25% more for your time.
Say, your customers contract started with 25% profit margin. with annual price uplifts effective margin company earns on your time will now be 50% and your salary has remained flat so your real earning dropped to 75% of what it was when you began that role.
This shows how company values employees whose work clients are willing to pay.
Agree: Apply for redundancy. Get rejected. Risign.
The problem being, by the time you've worked out you don't need and don't want this job anymore, and they start making offers, it's too late. Sod off DXC. You'll have to hire someone on 50% more, and they won't be any use to you for about 2 years. By which time the good ones will have left again anyway. DXC just don't see the damage done by neglecting staff with the knowledge. They don't even have anywhere to store it even if they do manage to extract it!
How to get a pay rise ?
I handed in notice .Two days later I got a 30% pay rise .
Who dares wins !
What's wrong with DXC, why dont they pay employees from the $650 million they are making this year?
Its not a normal company, people are saying they are going years without a raise yet the company is making money every year.
A friend of mine was telling me you guys don't even get a Christmas or year end bonus. He said there will be lots of thank you town halls, and telling you to work even harder next year.
I have never come across a company like this.
TBF I think it's supposed to be irony? The management are here, they are as fed up with the place as everyone else. The execs who set the policy are on the golf course all agreeing with themselves they are doing a great job. Just roll out another rarr rarr town hall at lunchtime that nobody attends.
@ab Yet another DXC manager patrolling the layoff site like a loyal guard dog, grateful for the garbage-bin leftover scraps DXC calls a paycheck.
Please wait, we are working on the salary hike program.
Bye 👋
