Fortune list decline... yet again...
Drive it into the ground, full stop until we hit rock bottom. Soon everyone is going to have to update their bios, taglines and all that jazz to Fortune 1000.
Someone better have some pixie dust handy and lots of pink slips to hand out to keep this ship afloat.
Open your eyes and see the truth. Once you do there is clarity and everything makes sense.
Exxon is a dysfunctional hellhole that is like bizarro world. Everything is run absurdly at exxon. Employees that are connected and favorites are given promotions. Supervisors are the types that would ki-l their own mother to get ahead. Think about your true performance compared to others in the company and is it true? Are you truly as worthless as exxon deems you to be? The answer is most cases is no. Exxon tries to motivate and scare its employees by fear tactics and intimidation. Employees are encouraged to outdo and tell on other employees. Gossip is rampant and perception is paramount. The friends and families are all connected and well protected at exxon. Exxon will try to break you down and destroy your self-esteem and dignity. Once you escape and leave this horrible place you can finally see the truth. It is like being trapped in prison or a bad relationship because it is all you know. If you can find a normal company to work for where you can excel and be your best you can see the difference. What kind of crazy company would hold an employee back and not use them to their fullest potential just because they were not a favorite or chosen? Would it not make sense for exxon to use the talents of its employees to their fullest potential? This is the true evil of exxon and the dysfunction. The ranking system is fixed and hardworking talented employees are destroyed and piped every year. Exxon is not a good place to work and is detrimental to your health. Escape if you can before you are in to deep and ruined.
Let Robin eat it
Since he wants to sc--w Americans out of jobs and keep laying off with false performance, stop helping set them up for success. Do not put your notes out there, do not share them, do not update procedures with all steps. Quit doing it! Let this pr--k and all the mini pricks below helping to ruin everyones lives, get what they deserve. A team full of id--ts who cannot fight their way out of an open paper bag
The End of Dell is upon us
Market cap shrinking. Betrayl of its employees. Outdated energy eating products. Get out folks
Commercial gone wild
Steve On The Spot returns from the World Cup after another successful display of cameras, travel, and self-promotion. Hopefully, the next appearance brings a little more leadership and a little less performance, especially as employees face the uncertainty of possible layoffs.
EOQ on Friday
What do you think is going to happen?
With a company that is so anti employee, with literally NO regard for tenure, loyalty, performance...should we expect any transparency at all?
Managers are complicit basically just trying to assure their salary continues.
Does Dell need to be investigated for violations in their termination process?
Andr3z the Joke
Lots of discussion on here about the EVP of
HR. Perhaps Mark made another bad hire?! Talk about a poor selector of talent.
Well, Srini blew it.
Verizon is now more valuable than us as of today. Tragic news. Oh well.
Another Mid-Day Outage...
Make John Saw responsible for both Core Network and IT and it fails. Typical. Most overrated person in the mobile space ever.
Separation date 2027, November
Got my separation date - Nov 12 2027. This is ridiculous. I'm in UM concurrent review, and I'm so sick of this company constantly devaluing our work. We're expected to do 2.16 cases per hour, but somehow we're also supposed to attend meetings, trainings, and everything else without the metric changing.
How is that reasonable? I can't sit through a one-hour meeting and still complete 2.16 cases per hour. I'm one person. Leadership created impossible expectations and punish us for not meeting them.
blackballed has cr-ppy payment software
I asked someone at the sc aquarium if their blackbaud payment software works well and he said it breaks when they need it most.
Make sure to keep working hard though. Do good. More like do bad worse.
All to line the pockets of Mike G.
Aparna Bawa
She came off as a complete mo--n at the all-hands this morning. WTF is she tasked with?
Reports are wrong, systems don't work and morale is in a Deep Hole
No surprise that reports are wrong, nothing new, this place has been dealing with that for years. Systems don't work, are not examined for the root cause of bad data and reports. More micromanagement but wait....now so many of us are on a correction action plan as a result and everyone is miserable.
This is what lack of leadership looks like, don't dig in and find out what is wrong and then communicate/educate. Instead just assume we are lazy id--ts and let the punishments begin. And they wonder why morale is in the trash.
Unqualified management
Every new manager we get seems less qualified than the last. It's like they're hiring for incompetence.
IBM treats people over fifty like liabilities
Why would anyone in that group still give their all?
I'm about ready to walk away
I've watched so many experienced people leave this place in the last year. The replacements don't know the job and don't seem to want to learn. Meanwhile, management acts like the veterans are the problem. We're the ones carrying the weight, but we're the ones being blamed. It's exhausting.
Zero respect
I had a customer screaming at me over something that wasn't my error. My supervisor heard the whole thing, knew the customer was wrong, and still threw me under the bus to save face. He apologized to the customer for my confusion, then he pulled me aside and told me to just let it go with a lecture about customer experience. I hate it here.
Too far gone
In the last 15+ years, we've had two incompetent CEOs, countless reorgs, several acquisitions where we bought for premium prices and sold for cheap, and a complete erosion of culture. I think the rot is so deep at this point that any new leadership would need a miracle, not a strategy to fix this mess.
More layoff coming due to leadershit failures
When do we really need to fix the leadershit at this shitTel place to save employee layoffs ?
I am really tired and sick of this
Worst run dept - this quarter
Okay gang. Which group is being run into the ground? Which should we stay far away from? Initals, dept and why. Go
Finance cutting ppl today, me included
It really stings that it was immediately following the earnings call where all the top brass was smiling and sharing vacation plans
Bad leadership is the problem
The mess we're in is because of incompetent leaders. They got their positions through connections, not skill. And it shows.
IBM layoffs upcoming!
IBM will silently laying people off after the stock crash... From what I've seen, this is how they do it:
They suddenly label people as "low performers" (making up stories if they have to) and try to push them into quitting.
They put people on PIPs (1–3 month Performance Improvement Plans) and then fire them. The goal seems to be avoiding severance.
They make your work life miserable until you leave on your own.
If you're thinking about joining IBM, I'd honestly look somewhere else. In my experience, the company doesn't have many interesting projects anymore, and management is pretty bad. Most managers have no clue how to lead or manage teams.
Just my opinion based on what I've seen in this company over the years.
No incentive to work hard
There's no reward for hard work at Oracle anymore. The raises are terrible, nobody gets recognized, whether you're the best or just getting by, it's all the same. So I keep asking myself why I should even try. The answer I keep coming back to is that I probably shouldn't. Just do what's required and move on. It's not worth the stress.
never saw a company work so hard to disincentivize people
No meaningful raises for 99% of the employees
No more monetary awards to recognize years of service
No cost of living increases
Rare that leaders are allowed ot give monetary thank you's for going the extra mile.
OT . The company that comes to mind when people say what a shi&hole.
Our own copilot told me I should quit...
...did this on an external AI too but translated all of my annual reviews into files, told it to parse them, told it my salary, & asked how hosed & stifled I am here compared to market. It told me not only to leave immediately (both Claude & Grok) but that while delivering more & more every year & outworking everyone else around me I've been deliberately sidelined, pushed around, & my personality used against me by my bosses in their responses to hold me down. That i'm leaving $50k/yr on the table & over the time I've been here have missed-out on $200k in earnings. No wonder I've felt so squeezed by this place & am barely surviving. Everyone else in my role & field is ki-ling it compared to me. This place su-ks & has stolen almost 10 years of career & growth from me.
I can't even get my boss on a regularly scheduled 1:1 for 15min to ESTABLISH a 1:3:5 for me after 2 years. He flaked yesterday while 'working' from India.
Combined with recently being told by my director to fudge numbers on Clarity & that my SSL usage is being tracked & used against me for (carrot dangle) prospective promotions - fu-k this place.
Let's not even discuss how I'm being split between two teams this year & how exhausting that is. They LOVE to keep me dangling in the wind moving from team to team to team - because I'll do it & can do it, I don't push back (thinking eventually SURELY some good has to come of this for me). I never get anything, all I get is hosed & progressively poorer, stolen from in lost earnings by this place. Sc--wed over at EOY in bonus while these shady executives hoard it all for themselves.
Anywhere else I'd be a senior engineer IC or manager by now. My loyalty has cost me a real career & major earnings.
I'm a swe earning under 100k after 8 fu--ing years. I'm done sulking & being a loser about it though. Now I'm on a mission.
Good job blowing me off manager, you just lost an employee.
The Doom Ratio
Is there any company in the world that has a worse ratio of good engineers to sh---y managers?
ORCL collapsing. At this rate, Larry will be bankrupted sooner
Larry made a bad bet on AI and will cost him his island and fortune.. His age clearly shows in his lack of judgment to put all eggs into one AI basket and will now be the poster child of the AI collapse. Laying off employees that were keeping the company afloat to adapt an unproven and premature AI approach that costs too much to run is a recipe for disaster. Oracle is now a sinking ship drowning in debt. It won’t be long before it becomes a $5 stock
"Alumni"?
I'm not an "Alumni".
- You FIRED me after 2 decades of stellar reviews & documented accomplishments.
*"WFR" is a nice way of saying "we can replace you for pennies on the dollar by offshoring your role". ONLY the execs are allowed to maintain a good quality of life. Back to the streets with you Peon! - I was "told" I was safe...lying corksoakers.
- Corporations are fully vested in the two layers of societal ranks. Either you are rich or you are poor & on government assistance. Dell USED to seem like they cared for "their" workforce. Nothing could be further from the truth today.
We are NOT Alumni. If you are kicked out of College, you dont get to claim to be an "Alumni".
You're just a number in a spreadsheet
Even though I could be bitter and angry because I was let go, I'm not. I guess it's business after all and if that's how they want to run the company then whatever.
I am however quite shocked to be honest around the whole exit experience. I mean I knew from before that Dell doesn't really care, but the very fact that I've multiple times had to fight HR on things that were agreed on and they tried to gaslight me into thinking that I am wrong (although documents and agreements clearly says otherwise) just leaves such a bitter taste in my mouth.
Icing on the cake was when I handed in the equipment. Years ago whenever somebody left the company for whatever reason there used to be coffee, cake, somebody thanking the person and some parting gift. Now? Just handed over the equipment at the reception, not even a goodbye. Well over a decade at the company? No one cares.
Leaders who don't belong
This place is in shambles because the people running it don't know what they're doing. Most of them got to where they are through nepotism, and it's obvious.
No incentive to work hard
Lousy raises and no recognition for anyone, even the top performers. There's literally no reason to put in extra effort anymore.
SRP is a joke
New name . Same horrible neglected products. The once proud data protection division is a shell of what it was and is mostly made up of the hangers on being replaced with the ngsa graduates who don't know any better and just want to get out to the field to them half your pay is the dream job and a massive raise. Many of the leaders are protected . Bainenl should go sniffing around there lots of dead wood and useless dead weight that if you fired the Monday hardly anyone one notice. Sad but true.
Could Dell treat its employees any worse??
I don't think it's possible. I've never seen a company treat its employees so poorly in my career. Dell is a despicable company.
A-s Kissing Analysts
These analysts are hilarious st-----g Bill. There hasn’t been a worse performing bank ceo in decades.
For those of you about to leave
I salute you. You are victims of an inept strategy and an inept and self-congratulatory leadership who clearly do not have a clue about how to turn around things. Anyone who is Band 4 or above should hang their head in shame, complete losers
Just leave…
If you are debating leaving Truist and are afraid to, don’t be. It’s so much better being away from that place. You will make more money elsewhere and you will be happier. Don’t trust your leadership and hope that they do better because they won’t. Just leave. It will be ok! Not a troll, just a ex employee who got out and sees that it’s all working out.
