Three things need to happen IMMEDIATELY on Sept 2!

1) Change the name of Truist. People still make fun of it.

2) Fire all management and hire business support groups to win business for the bank. Corrupt management has plagued this bank.

3) Get out of the d-mbest contracts alive with the golf sponsorship and the Braves. They add ZERO value. The bank has plummeted despite having these sponsorships and apply the money to better suit shareholders.


Someone Tell The Truth

You should never have managers in charge who cannot tell leadership the truth. You have managers waiting to get a Greencard who are afraid are of losing sponsorsship.....Fiserv needs to reevaluate this. The Truth shows itself through stock value and client complaints. Why should client have to complain to the CEO to get help.


Verizon no longer sponsoring Corporate Classic 5K in Morristown?

Outing myself as a NJ resident; I participated for many years at the Verizon Corporate Classic 5K in Morristown that benefits the JBWS organization (supporting DV victims in the area). It was always a fun event to participate in with coworkers and family members. As far as I know, Verizon was always the premier corporate sponsor for this thousands-large event every July, organizing everything down to the (talented, classically trained!) singer for the National Anthem.

I got laid off this past November; I was happy to see an email come through my personal account letting me know the race is still on for this summer. But the branding looked totally different. I went to verizoncorporateclassic dot com, and it redirects to morristowncorporateclassic dot com with no indication whatsoever that Verizon is sponsoring it. At least it still benefits JBWS.

I guess Dan really is cutting all the fat, huh? even some of the lean?

Have Xerox advised Aston Martin F1

It is incredible that as soon as Xerox sponsor the Aston Martin F1 Team their performance goes backwards.

Despite having Adrian Newey join the team, the car is at the back of the grid ahead of the 2026 season.

No doubt the CMO will be smiling and pressing the flesh at as many F1 races this year as he can.

Lovely guy.

Might even take his sons with him.


Pebble Beach Tournament

I’m so glad T has an extra $25M to sponsor the Pebble Beach golf tournament. After all, the majority of the people watching golf have NO idea who AT&T is, or what the company sells!! I’m sure people are flooding to the stores for millions of new net adds…

The T & Stinky way…whine about cash and then drive up costs on stupid sh-t! Followed by subsequently hacking away at the labor force…


Marketing Waste

We’re spending tens of millions of dollars sponsoring and advertising around the College Football National Championship while the company is under pressure, the stock is lagging, and leadership keeps talking about “discipline” and “focus.”

A single 30-second spot costs roughly $1M, and full sponsorship packages run $25–35M+ per year. That’s real money being burned on branding theater at a time when we supposedly “can’t afford” bonuses, flexibility, or meaningful investment where it actually matters.

If cost control is truly a priority, this is exactly the kind of spend that should be questioned first.


All We Are Is A Logo In A Sporting Event

Why is it i can't watch any sporting event without seeing gobs of att product shots. I mean, FFS... the headphones, the endzone cameras, halftime shows, pregame shows, post-game, trophy presentation. There's no end to how much we spend on trash that nobody cares about.

Who really believes that ATT stadium makes us a better company? Maybe if the cowboys didn't su-k, that would be something. But, seriously.. I am so tired of seeing at&t on everything. How many employees do we fire to have our stupid logo on every side of the coaches headset? It doesn't work you id--ts! Our products su-k because you would rather have a stupid stadium than have world class products at a reasonable price.

Why can't we just be the best at voice and data? What have these endless sponsorships ans placements done to make this a better company?


Why loyalty is lost and frustration runs high

Root Causes:

  1. Forced ranking
  2. PIP % goals to reduce headcount
  3. Sponsorship and false high ranking of sponsored id--ts
  4. Continued degradation of employee treatment and reduced benefits
  5. PIPing competent 50+ HC10 employees to replace with low cost/low quality 3rd world cheap labor
  6. All productive work only happens so can put on PDS to avoid PIP

Results:

  1. Loyalty approaching zero
  2. Pride in EM already zero
  3. Employees treat each other like competitors hoping to avoid the PIP
  4. Teamwork only occurs if employees think their contributions will look good on PDS
  5. Supervisors and coworkers constantly and falsely claim successes of others on their PDS
  6. Most employees advise college graduates not to interview with EM
  7. Sponsored id--ts given easiest assignments for very short durations, and transferred at the slightest indication their stupidity will be traceable to them. Leads to dangerous false confidence, zero skills attained, and inflated arrogance.

While Fiserv had laid off close to 10% of the Full Time employees, according to the above law, how can they "continue to Sponsor Green Cards and H1Bs" where Fiserv ferociously "proves" that no US Citizen is available to take that job and only an Indian with a fake resume and a purchased degree is the Perfect choice for that position.

How Mary wasted £80 million/$110m

How bad the Management are, $110m down the waste as folks still think DXC are a fried chicken outlet. Hope they finally terminate this. Manchester United chiefs enter fresh talks with £20m financial blow on the horizon. Manchester United are working hard to find a new sponsor, with their sleeve sponsorship deal with DXC Technology set expire at the end of the 2025/26 season


SuperStars? Where are they?

Historically, Nike had impeccable timing of using relevant SuperStar of the moment and help them lead to next level.
I will go back as far as John McEnroe, Jordan, Barkley, Carl Lewis, Mary Slaney, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Mark Allen, Bo, Lebron, Kobe, Durant, Serena ...
And disgraced ones like Lance, Tiger, Marion etc.

But today, when I look around there is no one that have charisma and appeal of athletes above.

Basketball: Jordan is retired for long time and not getting young. A baby born when he made that shot against Utah would be 28 today.
Lebron: played 22 years and about to retire
Durant: same story as Lebron. About to retire.
Kobe; retired and passed away.
Who is new blood in basketball space for Nike.

Baseball: Last time Nike had any significant endorsee was Griffey and Barry Bonds and that was long time ago. They invested on Trout but the guy was hurt for 3 or 4 season and this was first that he played full in a long time

Football: Nike controls football but they never had anyone that lead the category. Last one was Deshawn Jackson. I think

Track: They have some winners but no SuperStar material. Sidney Mcglaughlin Levrone is good candidate but she is NB girl. Nobody significant in sprinter category for boys and girls.

Tennis: Basically nobody since Serena retired

Golf: They have endorsees but nobody in the category of Tiger

Soccer: Originial Ronaldo has been retired for long time.
And Cristiano Ronaldo is about to retire, playing in senior league of soccer in Saudia Arabia.

As you can see there is no one significant icon leading Nike now. That is the problem.

Their Icon now Kim Kardashian. Wow. A girls made herself big through surgery.

In the spirit of cost cutting, why are we still funding extravagant sports and concert boxes for our leaders? A whole crew of junior female managers and their daughters at Toyota Center for today’s concert. I guess us plebes pay while others get the spoils from our fallen colleagues.
