Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Running on 1% margin

Anyone else catch that 7% of our Q2 “adjusted” EBIT 8% margin is non-operational fluff? Strip that out and we’re running on fumes. Once management wraps up their usual end-of-quarter buyback of 10 to 12 million shares, the stock’s going to dip right back down. DXC engine’s smoking, all gauges are red and management’s still smiling for the cameras on LinkedIn. This place is toast.

@kr Hello Raul! Yup, 1% is high in your world, lard head.

Imagine how low it would be if we did what you wanted us to! -1%? -2%%

@gb Boville was the negative margin incarnate, he encircled himself with his loyal bovine ‘leaders’ creatures as dull and directionless as imagination allows who are still clinging to DXC and chewing the cud coming from Boville's bloated bowels to this day.

@dd I was here before boveille and though I did not like his style one bit I guess he was on to something to push change. He also did bring on some pretty good people that have since left. I'm appreciating them more now because this new "leadership" is so out of its depth.

Please fill out your time sheet in all the 4 systems

If my time were utilised efficiently, I could generate up to four times my total compensation in billable work. Yet, despite that potential, I received a 0% pay rise last year. Unfortunately, inefficiency has become the norm — it’s remarkably easy to be underutilised in this environment.

Management seems convinced we’re all at full capacity, so they continue hiring more people—often on significantly higher salaries. Naturally, that doesn’t do much for motivation. At this point, many of us feel disengaged and are questioning whether we even want to stay in IT at all.

If the company has finally recognised the extent of the problem and is preparing for a major shake-up, then it’s long overdue.

@bz higher as in 2% operational margin?

It seems like Fernández and Boville crew brought on a crowd that wouldn't even make it past a simple IQ test.

A little alarmist Ebit tends to be higher in Q3/Q4. Company may su-k but it's not going anywhere anytime soon

The math su-ks in this place. Somebody is grifting. I am billed and sell resources at 40% margin minimum. Where is the rest going? Way too much overhead.

Direction from leadership sell whatever you can don't worry about margin so they can show revenue and new business. There is NO long term plan. Start looking now otherwise you will be the one holding the bag.
