It's still hard to deal with what happened
My entire team was cut after more than a decade with the company, and the way it was handled was brutal. I watched teammates vanish from slack one by one before anyone bothered to contact me. The call did not come until late in the afternoon, after hours of waiting and wondering. I envy those teams that got the news all at once, I wish that was us. The whole experience was a rough reminder of how little control we have during these decisions.
1 big show
So systems will never get better check
Executives will not get cut
Bad decision makers will get bonuses
Hard working average employees will get riffed doesnt matter how hard you work. So this pig has got lipstick a dress and makeup & you all still brownnose. Theres no growth here or ever was its the same people holding the same titles and let me guess what religion is dan we always pick the worst times & worse people.p
All Hands
The all hands on Monday were being nothing burgers. They did not say anything new. They sent an email with the changes then schedule an all hands over a week later to say the same thing? This is why VZ fails. Redundant and inefficient. Bet Friday’s call will be the same. It’s evident that things will not change. Dan the hatchet man is that, the hatchet man and will sadly pass it off to Scampath who will continue to tank the company. Leave while you can. VZ will not survive this 13k RIF. Culture, morale is dead there’s no coming back from losing trust in your people.
Taking an MW
Like others I dont give an MW about Chevron anymore. Taking an MW in the nasty restrooms in 1500 is more productive than anything else now days...
Intel is the easiest place to work for talkers and low technical people, while hard working talents are slaved and bullied
Easiest company for those stupid and political managers.
Rams email
See Ram’s email? Rat’s are fleeing the sinking ship.
Talent Upleveling - Compounding Problem
One problem Nike has that doesn't get discussed enough is how they are so reluctant to promote people anymore. The promotions wave after this round of layoffs is hardly what it should have been when you stretch that over years of time that they froze nearly all promotions.
It's a self-defeating circle: do nothing to advance people, let them get TOO expert in their roles that they get bored, productivity suffers, now they have a case to lay you off because you deliver "poor quality work". Sure, not everyone gets a promotion, but we routinely see people complain on here about how few people ever got a promotion, and how many talented hard working people have left over the past 5 years.
Did any of these incompetent imbeciles ever stop and think about that spiral of enshittification? They must know this cycle is of their own making and is a key reason why talent that remains are in such a weird place.
Belittled beyond repair
If you’ve been crushed by the toxicity of this company - know you aren’t alone. This is a culturally unhealthy organization ruled by politics and very bad decisions at the top to middle of house. The management here is a total joke, ruled by their own self interests. Share your own stories of how messed up your time at this company has been below. 👏🏽
I HATE the people here
I hate the people here. Fu--ing rude and obnoxious.
Bring your kids to work day....then RIF'd?
Anyone get to take their kid to work and show them how cool was Verizon is and then have to tell the same child that you were kicked to the curb?
Employees are customers too
So glad I refinanced and moved my accounts. Treat me like caca as an employee and you dont deserve me as a customer.
Have to let go. Can’t care and survive.
At this point CV is polished, will bide my time. Still putting in work but only until something that looks better comes up. Thankful to be on the ship but this place has given and taken so much, the new lack of leadership is literally ki-ling me. Management pushes down to empty suits, No direction given. When you push you get more problems and politics. When performance suffers they blame the little people and give out sh---y pay and reviews. Can’t change anything at my level. Only way to survive mentally is to stop caring.
35% higher quota than last year
I thought this guy Dan was about customer and employee first experience. Looks like my experience so far is sh-t. Makes me miss Hans
MAJOR BONUS DISCREPANCIES
PL here. If you are a legacy Schwab employee you need to know that you are getting sc--wed badly on your bonus. Your TDA colleagues (that are peers to you) have a much higher bonus percentage (5%+ more). When Schwab switched all legacy blue employees to the percentage based scale a few years back, they maintained status quo with whatever your bonus amount was at the time. The green employees who were already on a percentage based bonus at TDA got to keep their percentage level which means that ALL of them are getting more bonus than their peers on the blue side. Schwab should feel embarrassed and ashamed that they allowed a disgusting discrepancy like this to occur, but NOTHING has been done to correct it for years now. Take this for what it's worth, but Schwab really does not care about you.
Free weekend meals going away
Free weekend meals going away
What else is getting taken away ?
Too many irrelevant emails
What is it with DXC staff and email. I'm Cc'd on endless message chains. It's literally a full time job just trying to keep on top of reading it all. Can we not just have some propper systems. Unless directly asking me - I do not need to know. The point is when I do need to know - I'm not included!!! I give up on this place...
even after layoffs, companies should still hold holiday celebrations to boost morale
so flaming...
mindi cox of o.c. tanner says skipping them sends the wrong cultural message
simple, sincere gestures—letters, small parties, practical gifts—go a long way
most employees plan to attend celebrations this year, showing a desire for positivity
compensation talks should stay separate from holiday appreciation

Anyone else think the only tech strategy is layoffs
Each day gets a little worse with BE in charge. There is no communication no big vision. It feels like the last days of a company going out of business where even the shelves are being put up for sale. People are visibly miserable. Like openly talking about how much they hate it here miserable. No one cares anymore. Most are stuck because the job market is cr-ppy. If it turns around this place will lose thousands overnight.
OHI Survey
All in all, I finally gave this awful bank a truthful and brutally honest review as it’s through a third party. Either way I don’t really care if they find out it was me or not because I’m so done with this toxic bullsh-t we all put ourselves through every single day. I’m curious what you people put on your surveys and if you are as done as I am
Exhausted and demoralized
My team has been shrinking for two years straight, and none of the key roles were ever backfilled. At this point, I can’t even remember the last time I left at the official end of the day. The only thing keeping us going is that my teammates are solid. We’ve been carrying the load together, since our manager isn’t exactly helping.
We’ve pushed ourselves because the job market is rough and we’re all trying to hold on to what we have. But we’re getting to a point where the workload just isn’t realistic anymore, and the exhaustion is hitting hard. It makes you wonder what the point is. Fighting so hard for a paycheck every day, when the whole thing could be sent offshore at any moment.
Anyone else doing “time trials” right now?
Management supposedly just wants to see how long it takes employees to work a case, however, there are 35 (YES THIRTY-FIVE) different task codes to choose from, including lunch/breaks AND Other, in which a comment is required. Looks like every single minute of our day has to be accounted for. I am so done with this place! Not like we aren’t doing our work, just certain times of the month are busier than others but we always get our work done.
Resentful
I’m ready for it to be over. Knocking out new code this morning. Expected to finish projects, migration, and do hand off. Just friggin fire me at this point. 3 more weeks…
Yeah I know man up. I got ya.
Have we lost our biggest asset? People?
As our company fights for direction under this clueless CEO with the motto of “ Do less with less” and the leadership that has no concern for morale or wellbeing of employees it is alarming of the feedback among the people actually doing the work how unsecured everyone feels!!!! It’s no secret that our GOA wells are declining and we have no major plans in sight to keep the pipelines filled. Something big is brewing and we are left in the dark, word on the street is a major change in 2026 is coming.
Has Splunk lost its way?
It feels as though the Splunk BU has drifted off-course, guided by a weak leadership style that inspires more confusion than confidence. In all-hands meetings, what should be moments of clarity and direction often dissolve into polished evasions—answers that circle the runway but never land.
The repeated waves of layoffs have drained the teams of their momentum, leaving many people quietly eyeing the exits. No one seems to understand how decisions were made, and the cloak-and-dagger secrecy around criteria and RIF counts only deepens the anxiety.
Managers now echo the same rehearsed line “I wasn’t involved; the list was made from above without my input" as if it's become part of the official script. The result? A business unit that feels like it’s running on fumes, with trust evaporating faster than morale can be rebuilt.
Can we get some flexibility on RTO in December?
Letting people work from home for the month would be a much needed reset from the weekly he-l of commuting five days a week. Most employees will be on vacation anyway, so how much real collaboration will happen? Offices will be sparsely populated, it’s dark and cold, and seasonal illnesses are everywhere.
Closing the offices for a month would also save a huge amount of money. For a company of AT&T’s size, one month of office expenses: utilities, cleaning, security, and overhead likely runs into tens of millions of dollars. That money could go toward employee bonuses instead of forcing people into empty offices. Employees get relief, morale improves, and the company saves money. Win-win.
I am getting angry
They say they are going to change, but dear God in heaven when is one iota of change for the better going to happen?
This is like the worst bad relationship your parents told you about.
They say they are going to communicate more… they don’t. When they do it’s more words, less action.
They have made you lose a lot of good friends aka coworkers, for reasons you still have no idea of. There are still way too many bosses.
So help me if someone tries to say they are going to bring Tar-jay back I am going to scream. It’s over. It’s like Mean Girls and Fetch. Stop trying to make it happen. These are NOT your guests anymore. Why can you not understand this?
And speaking of not understanding your guests, you really had a great idea
with the grab bags, but you failed. Aside from the winners, I cannot even fathom who would be impressed or happy with what was in that bag. There is better and more sh-t presently in my vehicle than what was in that bag. And you hyped it up, to our guests. Who waited for it, thinking it was something great! You couldn’t even load it with snacks? A $5 gift card? Jesus anything? My kids birthday gift bags are better and we are poor.
I feel like you are just sabotaging the company now with these decisions. Trying to tank all of us.
There are so many of us who still and who did bust their a-s for this company, and for what? THIS?!
How are you all coping in the aftermath?
We lost two people on our team who were solid in every way, reliable, hardworking, the kind you could trust with anything. Now the workload is barely manageable. And after seeing how the layoffs were handled, I have zero motivation to go above and beyond. The only thing keeping me trying is the rest of the team, who’ve all been great to work with. Still, it’s hard not to think that any of us could be next.
We’re just circling the drain at this point
I haven’t felt like we’re building toward anything in ages. It’s all maintenance mode, at best. I’d almost welcome being put out of my misery if the job market weren’t so bleak. No real options out there, so we’re all just stuck. The worst feeling is fearing the loss of a job you don’t like at a company you can’t stand, simply because there’s nowhere else to go right now.
Morale is on life support
I dread Mondays. The whole office just reeks of undistilled misery.
Have we learned yet that hard work doesn’t pay off?
I regret every extra minute and every bit of effort I ever put into this job. Stellar performance meant absolutely nothing in the end. At my next job, if I’m lucky enough to find one anytime soon, I’m becoming the master of coasting.
I don’t know about you, but I’m just worn out from all this cr-p
I can’t remember the last time we had a normal day at work, where people weren’t completely at their wit’s end. This past year and a half has felt like collective torture, and there’s still no end in sight.
They never thought about the viability of teams
Most of these layoffs made zero sense. Some teams were cut down to the point where they can barely function, and what’s worse is that a lot of the experienced, genuinely skilled people were the ones let go. Now whole groups are missing critical roles, people who actually knew how to tie things together and solve problems because they’d built that capacity over time. It’s not just about losing headcount, it’s the quality we lost that hurts the most.
Layoffs before Christmas?
As November ends and December begins, what are the odds of more layoffs before Christmas?
Management’s cruelty knows no bounds and they have terminated people with an effective day of Christmas Day before. They have ruined lives and enjoy doing so. Hence I don’t put anything past this evil mob.
3 years no raise
I am a TPM and I work my as@ off in OCI... Late hours, weekends, etc. Now I am going to my 3th year without any raise and my boss keeping using excuses. I would like to know if this is only for TPM or if engineers and other managers faces the same issue.
I’m completely exhausted
From this job, my team, my boss, and the constant fear of ending up jobless. It’s just bad news everywhere and this relentless anxiety that never lets up. I don’t know how the rest of you are dealing with it, but I feel like I’ve used up every reserve I had. When you’re this physically and emotionally drained, it’s hard to even help yourself. I just wish something out there felt genuinely good or supportive, something to lift us up even a little.
Wexford
Sad day today with Wexford office closing. Years of experience being thrown out the door. No matter the quality of training of new recruits it won’t replace the decades of experience. The clients will notice, but the bank won’t care.
I am thankful that I still have a job
That’s it. Not that I get to work at an exciting company that helps develop and reward me for doing great work. It’s really to a point where I’m just thankful I haven’t been downsized.
Tami cares!
