Like everything else here, it's just performative nonsense. Complete time sink. And irritating beyond belief.

Look at the complete absence of any game changes or real leadership on the Town Hall, the CEO, HR, the marketing man, an operations guy talking about the India operations center and a financial report. Nothing which would indicate this group has a clue about a strategy or how to compete with other banks other than buying sponsorship (NFL) and another year of spend on the Ethisphere recognition (which most other banks have long stopped paying for)
I missed the latest TH and then I checked here to see what I missed. I feel like I didn't miss anything and I'm happier for not sitting through the abuse.
@d8 counterpoint: thrilled she has no time to worry about computer wallpaper.
@a4 her response to the wallpaper question shows just how clueless she truly is. She needs to be removed
They don’t exist to me. Not after that first one she did. It was off putting and felt like she was slapping us in the face repeatedly. They don’t exist to me since that time.
@aw this will be the last one I join. I understand that there is going to be some fluffy b.s. in these things and temper my expectations. But blatantly lying to our faces in the Q&A? Nah man. Hard pass. I'm not playing the engagement game anymore, and I'm done taking the surveys too.
@a3 It’s one of the reasons I don’t join anymore. I refuse to listen to their theatrical performances. It’s only negative nonsense. No positivity whatsoever.
Several people pinged me because they were so steamed.
Anyone who thinks this is just about RTO and will just go away soon is delusional. Total lack of integrity and credibility at the top.
They’re just putting on a show with these town halls. It’s all lip service. I can just envision Gunjan giving a loud long suffering sigh that it’s time to put on a smile again and act like she cares. How horrible for her!
You know in her ideal world, she would get rid of most of us and outsource the jobs to other countries or AI.
What were some of your favorite moments? Here are a few of mine:
"Yes, let's rock."
Q: 'Hey you took away our ability to use personal wallpapers.'
A: 'I wasn't aware we allowed personal wallpaper to be hung in the service centers.'
- MC: 'You're not being forced to use AI.'
GK: 'You need to adapt to using AI.'
- GK: 'We pay based on formulas you don't understand, not on performance. ... If you want to increase your pay, make sure you get a good review.'
Remember when town halls used to be empowering and employees left with a feeling that they are making a contribution to help the company meet its goals. Now, it's just fraught with gas lighting and tone deafness. Employees leave bewildered and demoralized. It's really a shame.
It’s all for optics to say they held one.
