Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

I've lost all motivation

No paths to advance. No real rewards for performing well.
Constantly waiting to get laid off isn’t exactly motivating.

We are just a number - work your wage and don’t give them more than 8 hours

If they don’t give a d@mn we don’t give a fahk

I would say the vast majority of Fido workers have a decent 401k balance in addition to brokerage and any other savings. We are responsible savers. I wonder what 401k balance would be enough to quit? If they actually do end up telling people to be in 100% then they are just going to torture us until we quit so that they don't have to pay severance. Hold out, do the bare minimum, leave at 5 pm, no weekend or after hours work, make them RIF us so they have to pay the severance.

Most people are on the same boat while the man enjoys torturing people with the re-org in limbo for 6 months now
