I'd avoid this company until the Paramount merger settles. I just got caught up in the layoffs along with several other coworkers. The future is uncertain and job security is low at the moment. I was in a tech position.

Monthly, Quarterly or Annual Layoffs
I am confused about our layoff approach - after all, do we have Monthly, Quarterly or Annual layoffs?
VCF Div 25% layoff in Nov
Why can't RV and KP just do it once a year. The uncertainty makes people unproductive and aggressive. The environment in PA is hostile
The Lay Off Waiting Room
It's an excellent point made by a poster below. Many are hoping to cash out for the severance and feel entitled to do so. There is no disagreement with that. The sturm und drang has been real. Employees have earned that money. Now, they weigh whether hanging on for it will result in actually getting it. With the advent of the Cognizent bait and switch, it's a hard calculation. One colleague decided to bail after being je-ked around long enough.
Exhausted by the uncertainty
Will there ever be a time when we're not constantly worried about layoffs? Job security feels like a thing of the past. I'm so tired.
Will we be having new layoffs or no?
Anytime this year?
Wondering about the future
I've been thinking about whether staying here long-term is even realistic anymore. Everywhere I look, people are just going through the motions until they find a way out. New people, old people, it doesn't really matter. The consensus seems to be that Schwab is in decline and nobody should be pinning their future on it. Maybe that's for the best.
Things have been a bit too calm lately
I can't shake the feeling that it just means another disaster is waiting around the corner.
Have I missed the layoffs?
I've been here eight months and everyone keeps talking about layoffs but I haven't seen any major ones. Did I just get lucky or am I missing something?
Next round timing
Anyone have any idea when the next round of layoffs might start?
Avoiding me like the plague
My manager is suddenly avoiding me. I don't know if I did something wrong or if he knows something I don't. I tried to talk to him but he keeps finding excuses. How bad is this? Should I start applying?
On the ropes
Verizon employees are on the ropes. How many more body blows can they take before they get knocked out for good. The company is an utter mess at the moment. Employees are shell shocked and trying to keep their heads down whilst wondering if it’ll be them that are laid off next. Running a company based on fear and uncertainty only results in one thing : failure
nearly 2 weeks to go !
MO advised that the company will commit to providing a date by the end of July to confirm whether roles are impacted by the new organisational design. Has anyone heard any intel on numbers, percentages, or which parts of the business are mostly impacted? It all seems very quiet… the calm before the storm.
H&CC
Just received an invite to a team meeting for H&CC in my region for next month which is very rare, could this be something we are all dreading:/
Exact date of RIF
Anyone know when we will know if we are safe or not? Sure heard first week of August but how is that when they keep changing the dates of everything else?
Anil Team told to stay home tomorrow
Not good, this is not frontier only
Fu-k them for extending the notification date
This is psychological warfare extending the date two weeks. If anyone gets emails and could tell us the role you’re in and if you get approved, that would be helpful. This is beyond fu---d up. That place is fu--ing garbage.
August and November Layoffs
How realistic is it? How big? Who's safe or not?
Surely, Oracle knows where the layoffs are going to be in Sept?
Surely, Oracle knows where the next round of layoffs in September are going to be? Probably Cerner, maybe Sales, maybe OCI, other places, if I had to guess from my uninformed internal location. So, why is management letting 150k people just generally wonder about if they're going to be next, and give current employees some sort of heads up? It's ki-ling all internal workflows with letting everybody think that "they're next", when it doesn't have to be that way.
Safe for now, but not for long
We're probably okay for the moment. But the end of the year is going to be rough. Might as well start looking now.
Can we catch a break?
How is anyone supposed to stay motivated when layoffs are constant? There's no stability, no security. All of us are just waiting for our number to come up.
It's really not worth it
Sleeping well these days? Doubt it. Who could when you're always looking over your shoulder for the next layoff?
Thought I couldn't make it without my Humana salary for most of my two decades at the company. Finally mustered the courage to shed them and can't believe how happy and stress-free my life is now.
How much is enjoying life worth to you? Truly enjoying it, not just putting on a happy face while dread and uncertainty haunt your thoughts. Haven't seen anyone posting "Wish I'd stayed at Humana" here have you? That's because they're finally free and happy like me.
Handling uncertainty
Asked to relocate to save job. I have interviewed many places but unfortunately didn’t land any job. So it is evident to relocate. However I keep procrastinating that move, as I am being told multiple times here, that I will be cut after moving. Time is running out and I don’t know how y’all made that move decision and went forward. What was that one thing that got you out of your a-s and made the move despite of all these fears?
Rumors Rumors Rumors
There are a lot of rumors going around about layoffs and restructuring. I’ve asked a few leaders if they know anything, and they’ve been pretty firm that there’s nothing currently being discussed.
At the same time, rumors usually don’t come out of nowhere, so I do feel like there may be something happening behind the scenes. More than anything, I think there’s just a lot of fatigue from the constant cycle of restructures and uncertainty.
What’s next?
Though in the past meetings the CEO has mentioned no more layoffs for this year but this doesn’t seem realistic. The numbers don’t lie and we aren’t naive on what’s going on. So what’s next? What will this Q2 earnings call bring?
Anyone interested in doing work anymore
I received top performance ratings in 2 of the last 5 years, and I’ve always been a self-motivated person.
These days, I have had very little energy or motivation to work. It feels like I’m just doing enough to keep the boat afloat.
Is anyone else losing interest or feeling disengaged because of all the uncertainty and instability in the company?
Perpetual axe over my head
Anybody else tired of working with a perpetual axe hanging over their head? I really can't wait for this whole thing to be over, even if I end up being laid off. I just can't stand this feeling of uncertainty anymore.
And now we wait???
Initially, I was saying eff this... after 15 years - and they pull this stunt, let me take the money and run - but then I added up the taxes and considering that I have yet to get a single interview for ANYTHING... I decided to change my answer to decline the VSP... so now what? Hope I bought myself some time and hope I wont get sacked...at least not till I find something suitable. What a nightmare. Truly.
Exhausted but can't rest
The anxiety is keeping me awake. There are too many questions and not enough answers. I just want this whole thing to be over.
Too many or too few?
Most of the people think the delay is because too many people accepted the offer, but what if it's the opposite? What if they need the extra time to decide how to handle involuntary layoffs? Or am I just being paranoid?
ANOTHER TWO WEEKS?!
c’mon…
do you think this means the volume applications is high? are they just f*cking with us now?
The waiting is the worst
Waiting is the hardest. This is torture. Let people know now, now that it’s out there!! and what is out is from June July August and Sept. then what? Ki-ling the summer and then what…..the holidays? Knowing now is more humane than later. People need to plan.
ALBANY TOWN HALL - Friday 7/26
Long-time reader, first-time posting. I was planning to post yesterday only, but I just came back from travel.
After yesterday’s town hall, I am still having many questions. It answered many things, but not the questions most people were actually asking. There were plenty of buzzwords and positive statements, but not much real clarity.
I am still not understanding the Alderon split properly. What will remain with IBM? What will move to Alderon? On what basis these decisions are being taken? Even after the town hall, I don’t have a better understanding.
Also, it looked like the usual favorites are getting special treatment. From what I could understand, many of those people will remain with IBM, while everyone else is still not knowing what will happen with their future. Maybe there are valid reasons behind these decisions, but they were not explained clearly.
Just wanted to know what others are thinking. Did this town hall give you more confidence, or did it leave you with even more questions? Are you feeling more secure about your job after listening to it? Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions
Facing a brand new week!
Who knows what will happen at the end of the Second Quarter 2026?
Be smart on your own behalf.
Will CMI team be affected in July?
Hearing rumors of July layoffs. Do you think the customer insights team will be impacted? I am very nervous and trying to plan ahead.
Layoffs in Cary

Was this another round, or the last round?
Barely holding on!
As this is all going on, and with the stress, anxiety and uncertainty of will we have a job come a month or 2, my people leader is production! production! production! How are we to stay focused with these chats and emails going out about metrics and audits when inside all of us are stressed and nervous? Beyond frustrating!
Something big is about to happen at T-Mobile
We got supervisor’s personally calling customer care representatives on their cell telling them that they have overtime avail Monday. They saying it is super secretive to the point they don’t even want to relay this info about overtime on tmobiles own systems and of course no one is suppose to talk about it. Anyone know what sh-t is about to hit the roof at this company?
