Wipro Sapient Consultants

I heard most Wipro and Sapient contracts will being terminated or at best not be extended but it's not being announced. Just terminate one by one or not extend so it won't make big news.. I heard this from a SG32 in people team. I am 31 and have log consultants in my team. Here to see if any one else have more insights. I am tired of these constant changes. My project fund got slashed leading to hiring freeze and finally work got cancelled due to issues with delivery! They expected 3 people doing 6 peoples work, of the 3, one is in offshore with no domain knowledge. Now this...I was told I can hire another fte offshore but not onshore. wtf is going on?

Another Heritage Fund is not meeting it's contract

Why does FIS take on the responsibilities for funds outsourcing their Transfer Agent (TA) and then do a cr-ppy job a la Franklin Templeton? Eager to sign the contract, woefully unprepared to fulfill its terms. Every move of FIS senior leadership is based on the short term. It's creaking along robbing Peter to pay Paul on the bottom line. When they fail to meet the terms they have to pay huge penalties. It's the same mistakes over and over.

Fire Stephanie and her cronies!

This lady and her puppets are ridiculous. If we could all be so fortunate to get paid millions of dollars to run companies to the ground none of us would worry about being laid off. Contracts for these people are ridiculous. You know even if she was let go her payout would be so crazy that her life style would not change and she would go down the road to the next corporate office and show them how much money she saved FIS and the cycle would start all over again.

11/30 for contractors?

I heard that all contractors currently have 11/30 as the last day for their contract and leadership hasn’t communicated with any of the contracting companies about extensions.

Anyone know if this is management being slow to communicate, or if we’re going to cut all the contractors loose in a month?

Whatever the pros and cons of using contractors instead of hiring FTEs, the reality is there are teams that have a lot of contractors on them (especially in IT) who are going to have trouble absorbing the workload if those people disappear in a month.

I guess that assumes any of us will be here, sure. But setting that aside, is this a de facto layoff or is there some other plan?

PBEs laid off

For any of the PBEs that were laid off yesterday, can you share what your pay out is, if any at all? I believe staff is given severance and WARN if they qualify, but I am curious to know if non-renewed contracts are a potential loophole that they are taking to not pay out these employees.

cutting contractors

because the coast guard is expected to drop Peraton as the prime contrctor, it is easier to cut the subs first and then move on to the prime... IMHO - they have done a poor job supporting the coast guard.

i have heard from multiple uscg feds, contractors, and dhs feds that uscg has wanted to replace them for a while.

This is just my opinion, i dont have any insider info.

Contractor Misconduct and Labor Law Violations

We currently have a contingent contractor from "1nF0$y$" working in our department. His role appears limited to issuing written instructions to permanent staff, and he does not contribute to any other operational tasks. His primary engagement seems to be attending private meetings with the Senior Director.

The Senior Director originally from India and now a U.S. resident through an H-1B visa followed by marriage to a fellow Senior Manager in the same department is reportedly receiving commissions for onboarding contractors from "1nF0$y$". Multiple sources have raised concerns about this arrangement.

Contractors brought in under this setup often exhibit inappropriate behavior, acting with undue authority and attempting to influence permanent staff. When questioned or held accountable, they respond with hostility and escalate complaints to the Senior Director. In turn, the Senior Director convenes meetings targeting the permanent staff and delivers reprimands, creating a hostile and retaliatory work environment.

These practices raise serious concerns regarding compliance with U.S. labor laws and ethical standards. Immediate intervention is warranted from Human Resources, College Relations, Ethics, and Legal departments to investigate and address these potential violations.

Their plan

Imperial and the government are running the scam of the century. Lay off 1,000 people → claim it’s a “lack of projects” → pull in more contracts from the government → hand the work off to India.

IOL’s lobbying team nailed it. Smith and the media are saying exactly what Imperial wants to hear. And they're are already in Edmonton, so no relocation needed.

It’ll continue until BTC's incompetence results in a major incident here in Canada. We see everyday that they can't even handle basic tasks.

Hurricane July(ie)

Accenture, a global consulting powerhouse, is facing back-to-back slowdowns in new project bookings due to rising geopolitical tensions and economic volatility. While larger digital transformation deals remain active, smaller contracts are drying up. The firm is shrinking its workforce, delaying graduate onboarding, and facing federal contract cuts in the US. Leadership changes and a major organisational restructure underline the scale of disruption. ..

Aramco recruiters at it again

Beware of the false promises made by these unethical bunch. They continue to employ bait and switch tactics, the promises made do not align with the actual contract that gets offered…

  • never accept anything verbally, always seek in writing the actual deal.
  • do not accept vague or general language to mask the fact that you’ll end up with nothing.
  • one expat was told their benefits supplement would be 80% of their base salary(!), when the paperwork arrived it was 15%. Everyone know that, recruitment thought it ok to lie to the candidate/
  • another was told their kids (special ) education would be paid by Aramco, on receiving the contract Aramco pay les than a third.
  • another was told they would receive an annual increment of 5% for satisfactory performance, yet in reaiity if that’s 2% if at alll.

Juts remember with theee guys it’s BUYER BEWARE.

The migration from SharePoint to Confluence was to open up existing knowledge to contractors and downleveled backfill hires.

SharePoint required an approval of access to see a group’s content.

Confluence is open across teams, unless the author specifically locks content (rare).

Think about it.

Operations teams were trained on ServiceNow because that’s what HCL uses…

Who voted for these contracts?

The vast majority in my union that I ask says they voted no, but our contract was supposedly ratified 54% yes. I do not understand why did so many union members ‘supposedly’ vote yes to contracts that did not at least equal the previous one? What happened to the determination and the will everyone had just a couple years ago to strike? Is over 50% of union members happier now than they were a couple years ago? Has anyones work conditions improved enough (or at all?) since the last contract that you accepted smaller pay increases?

Major reorg underway!!

This reorg under COO organization will be huge - will redefine the way any contract is executed/delivered to clients within Gainwell.

It is a major shift that will lead to many losing out (in fact, several positions will be terminated and WFR’d) but for a few, it will be a win for short term.

Look out for the email/discussions from your manager/dept head over next week or so. Good luck to everyone involved.

Former naviHealth

What is the outlook for SNF care coordinators for Home & Community Care Transitions (formerly naviHealth)? I am tempted to move on but don’t want to miss my chance at getting severance pay, especially with all of the recent talk about unprofitable Medicare Advantage plans. Also - anyone know when Humana is next scheduled to renew (or not renew) their contracts?

Omnissa just sc--wed Costa Rica

Omnissa reneged on the quarterly bonus owed to the staff in Costa Rica and are making them sign day1 contracts. Omnissa have lost up to half their customer base already. They are deploying full racist equity in the company, finding ways to cut peoples salaries while giving their managers promotions and pay rises. A third of the staff are now gone and they now have people in positions who cant do the job. The place is a complete car crash and the management are targeting people who are raising concerns.
