Can you start applying earlier than 12 months ans is manager notified?

Does anyone know what happens if you apply for a job internally before the 1 year mark? Are managers only notified if you are selected?

Where is she getting all the numbers about 75% of the people getting our yard are getting internally placed again? Most instances the reqs are frozen or there’s none to apply to. She is so fake and I can’t believe people love her post.

I have been asked as a care coordinator to switch work flows this month (June) and work new areas that I have never worked before. Everything came out of the blue a few days ago and other care managers from different department are now working the area that I worked and grown accustom to. Does anyone know what is going on?

Talked to a few hiring managers on Friday and they all echoed the same thing , the last few weeks were the toughest they’ve ever had to maneuver. Every open position was flooded with applications . multiple leaders recommending and putting referees for their own people , non stop calls and emails for referrals all against a deadline to hire before the end of May. Managers were grinding through 8 to 10 interviews a day, trying to balance candidate situations like urgent visa situations and ongoing medical treatments. So people who found internal roles during this time was due to strongest leadership push rather than the best skills. glad May is wrapped up so everyone can take a breath and move on. I am sure there is better way to do this ..

They’ve basically given me a week to take VR otherwise it’s CR

If I take VR I get extra 2800

If I don’t I get statutory terms

They want me gone come what may in a month

First consultation meeting is next week.

Does anyone know if I can apply for VR say in week 2-3?

For anyone who has had this happen, how hard is it to get to another department/team? How long did it take? Was reorged today and not thrilled with where they put me.

Make sure you do some research on the team before making a switch. I’ve heard of teams with ongoing management concerns, including one where the manager has been out on maternity leave for extended periods almost every year for the last 3-4 years and then returned to take credit for the team’s work. There’s also another team where employees were reassigned primarily so they could be given poor performance reviews and eventually laid off. You definitely want to avoid ending up in an environment like that.

I don’t understand how Cigna is hiring for customer service agents when a mass layoff was just done, along with possible upcoming layoffs with IFP/Evicore? Like why not move over the agents who are at risk of losing their job to the customer service department the company is hiring for? What’s the point in hiring others when you have internal people with experience? Why are we hiring anyways with current layoffs? I don’t understand the moves this company is making. Nothing makes sense anymore.

Been with the company for 5 year, first 4 1/2 years in the same role. Applied internally for another role and got the job 6 months ago. I see another role that I think is a better fit for me, am I allowed to apply or do I need to stay longer at my current role?

Would you consider finding an internal role and staying or are you completely done with fidelity? What are some of the pros and cons? I’ve seen a lot of people who were laid off last round come back either full time or contract so just curious.

Is moving from Tech to ICM possible at Citi?

A couple of people in my department were quietly RIF'd this month. Fortunately, they both found other internal roles before their last day. I feel like I'm next, but after 30 internal apps, I'm getting nowhere, just screeners that quietly die. Looking at Workday, roles similar to mine are at a lower PM and many roles require hub proximity. Is Humana intentionally shedding people by realigning salaries?

Been working at the bank several years and my immediate team has had transitions either with new teams joining or leaving multiple times over the past 18 months. Tired of living in constant fear I’ll be next. I’m an analyst so a decently transferable role to another field in P&C or Life, I would think. We have internal job postings all the time, but it’s becoming pretty obvious a lot of them already have someone in mind. People go through the entire process and then lose out to someone who seems pre-selected. Why even put it up if you already know who you're going to give it to?
