Imperial and the government are running the scam of the century. Lay off 1,000 people → claim it’s a “lack of projects” → pull in more contracts from the government → hand the work off to India.
IOL’s lobbying team nailed it. Smith and the media are saying exactly what Imperial wants to hear. And they're are already in Edmonton, so no relocation needed.
It’ll continue until BTC's incompetence results in a major incident here in Canada. We see everyday that they can't even handle basic tasks.

@ad I don't think the situation would've been different if the NDP were in power. In fact, both parties are proposing to "attract investments" to Canada, which just encourages IOL/EM to continue doing whatever they want. We need the opposite - regulatory oversight.
I'm writing to my councillor and suggest you do the same.
BTC is average. LTTS is outright incompetent and a safety incident waiting to happen. So much for DTI.
True facts. I am already full time doing work that was transferred to BTC. For the sake of my stocks, I hope it works.. I have zero confidence in out of country decision makers.
