Way to protest layoffs
If we want to show collective action and that employees are mad about layoffs let’s do something harmless but shows we can organize and act. Everyone do zero work between 10 am and 10:15 am ET next Tuesday Dec 9. All 200k of us. It’s just to show that we are all out there and support our colleagues. What would happen if all network activities and teams calls just stopped for 15 minutes? Leadership will know people are united but won’t be able to punish anyone because who’s to say that you didn’t just step away for a break?
Layoffs confirmed
All indications are pointing to a 2nd and 3rd round of layoffs happening next year. When it’s all said and done Verizon is looking to shave off 30% of its workforce. Blood bath coming. Insane! My manager basically told us in our recent meeting to keep our resumes updated and start applying and if right offer comes to take it.
Fincantieri Marinette Marine issues 93 layoffs
In the aftermath of the cancellation of a major Navy contract, nearly 100 workers are being laid off from Fincantieri Marinette Marine.
Last week, the U.S. Navy announced it is ending the Constellation frigate program, thus canceling the remaining four ships that were supposed to be built in Marinette.

U.S. lost 32000 private-sector jobs last month in surprise drop, ADP data shows
CBS News
December 3, 2025 8:04 AM PT
U.S. private-sector employers unexpectedly cut 32,000 jobs in November, as detailed in ADP data released on December 3, 2025. This surprising downturn contrasts with economists' predictions of job growth for the month. The figures are bolstering expectations that the Federal Reserve might implement an interest rate cut in the near future. Small businesses, specifically those employing fewer than 50 individuals, were disproportionately affected, accounting for 120,000 of the job losses. The professional and business services sector saw the largest decline, though leisure and hospitality experienced a gain ahead of the holiday season.

- Retailer 'FashionForward' Closes 20 Stores, 800 Employees Laid Off*
Retail Dive
December 3, 2025 12:45 PM PTFashionForward, a national apparel retailer, has revealed plans to close 20 underperforming stores across the country, resulting in 800 layoffs. The closures are part of a broader strategy to streamline its physical footprint and invest more heavily in its e-commerce operations. The company acknowledged the difficult impact on its employees and local communities. Severance packages and opportunities for relocation to other stores or online roles will be offered where possible. This move underscores the ongoing challenges faced by brick-and-mortar retail in a digital-first economy.

Big layoffs today 12/23/2025
The news of today’s company-wide layoffs, which impacted most business units, is a difficult blow for our team, the industry, and especially those directly affected. The cuts were heavily concentrated in customer-facing positions, customer support, and engineering, signaling a strategic shift that is raising serious concerns among customers, partners, and investors.
The Elephant in the Room: SAP and the Rule of 40. Reports have been circulating that our executives are aggressively optimizing the company to meet the Rule of 40 financial benchmark, a common metric for SaaS companies where a company’s revenue growth rate plus its profit margin should equal at least 40%. This comes amid rumors of a potential buyout offer from SAP.
This approach prioritizes a quick financial metric over the long-term health of the business. Investors, partners, and especially customers should be asking: What value remains in a company that sacrifices the people who build, support, and sell the product for a short-term multiple?
My thoughts are with all of the incredibly talented individuals impacted by today's news.
Just laid off
What the f Wellsfargo? I have been working here since 2007! Is it how you treat your employees now? FU!
Round 2 Early Next Year
I am hearing from leadership and many others that yet another round is coming Q2ish. Has anyone else heard this? We cut some of the most insanely needed departments, what else could we cut?
True or not?
RIFs have been taking place since the first week of Sept. Get with it.
Have there really been constant layoffs for the past few months? I haven't heard of anybody being cut since much earlier in the year. Yes, a lot of people are mentioning layoffs and we all know more is coming, but so far, it's yet to materialize.
Friend laid off third time in as many years
I met him here before his 2023 layoff, and we ended up staying close even after he found a new job, only to get hit with another layoff six months later. He bounced back again and landed something new, and now he's been cut for the third time this week. He's living my greatest nightmare. How do you even deal with something like that? There's something deeply broken in the way this whole system works.
Was I just headhunted to be my replacement?
I was contacted by a recruiter trying to hire me for a contract position at Optum that would make less than me and sounds a lot like my job now. It’s a position with almost the same name but works with my both my Medicaid care plan and another. I’m always worried about layoffs but should I be super worried?

Job searcher here! Are any of your departments hiring? I have a MBA from Duke so I should be a preferred candidate for management jobs. I can relocate to Dallas if needed, but preferably would like to work remotely.

Sooo, here is a question...
So, now that the limitations have been lifted, now that we've started minting money, would it be possible for the execs to stop playing games with us and just pay severance pay for the roles they no longer need? They may as well stop to overwork us, make us work insane hours, play games and give us fake write ups just to make us quit. Sooo.... Pay severance and let's part ways.
CSM
CSM team has gone through two round of layoffs already (April and November). I heard more to come after the new year. Anyone has any insight on this?

Next Layoff Idea: Start at the Top and Work Down This Time
And these are the people steering the ship. If there is another layoff coming, here’s a bold idea: Start the same “leaders” of these decisions — not the people actually doing the work.
Remove the placeholders, and watch morale (and maybe the stock) bounce back.
Anyone else watching this stock drop like, “Yep… checks out,” considering the same “leaders” (air quotes) who built the perimeter list are still in charge? Only here could tower-only folks get listed to go with a fiber sale while people who’ve never done tower a day in their lives — pure fiber/small-cell — were kept? Made zero sense. It felt less like a workforce plan and more like someone drew names out of a hat, but that work require planning they aren’t capable of so doubting they even did that.
Until then, we’re all just updating our resumes watching them ruin what we worked to build and pretending to be surprised while hoping someone stops it, we have a good business that is profitable once we remove the fake leaders.
Will there be more layoffs in 2026?
can anyone share info?
Laid off without presence of HR?
Just got the cord cut on me last week but only my boss was on the call without HR present. Is this legal?
No communication after layoff
For the corporate people, has anyone else not received any communication from their manager/hr after the day they were laid off? I feel like HR should have hosted a Q&A or something. I am still doing tasks but it’s mostly crickets from upper management. I am still charging time to the project as I have not been told otherwise. I have also not been told to handover to others what I have been working on.
Something big is coming
I’ve had multiple senior leaders confirm this to me over the past couple days casting doubt over their own roles and my own. I know this doesn’t help, but prepare yourselves as best as you can over the course of the next week.
Post any info you have!
Have to let go. Can’t care and survive.
At this point CV is polished, will bide my time. Still putting in work but only until something that looks better comes up. Thankful to be on the ship but this place has given and taken so much, the new lack of leadership is literally ki-ling me. Management pushes down to empty suits, No direction given. When you push you get more problems and politics. When performance suffers they blame the little people and give out sh---y pay and reviews. Can’t change anything at my level. Only way to survive mentally is to stop caring.
Can somebody explain this?
I noticed that some of the people who were laid off ended up with different end dates, and I'm confused about how that works or what the reason behind it might be.

Not meeting expectations because of not working enough overtime?
3 years ago when I interviewed here I was told very explicitly overtime was optional but apparently I am not meeting expectations because I’m not working enough overtime/holidays?? I guess it’s a wrap for me.
Few laid off in content ops
