A friend in GD was fired today for not going into the office. No severance package, realy firing. Has this happened in any other group? Was this just GD or did it occur in other BUs/CFs?

If you’ve ever met the team leads of Home Delivery such Fax or Document Management team, they should lay them off. Never i have ever seen team tech leads do absolutely nothing in the office, finding ways to avoid work as well as tormenting employees in front of management to show how powerful they are. Does anyone know of someone fired based on their IP Address location from GlobalProtect? You always here these “threats” but has anyone actually ever been let go because they went and did a dive into the persons IP Address location that was pulled from GlobalProtect?

I got fired for coffee badging. And I know I'm not alone. Cheaper to fire us than lay us off. Not even any sort of reprimand or PIP. They just went straight to "You're fired!"

I work for US Bank's competitor and out of curiousity checked this site. I see a lot of uproar about RTO...believe me, we also went through it in 2022.

My advice to all of you is to be careful.
If they aren't checking your in network office time, they will be. A bunch of our employees got fired over swiping badges and leaving or minimal office network connectivity.
A bunch of others got fired because they were in non compliance.

Sadly, you won't win this fight. We have also tried everything and the push back was immense. Corporate America is all copying each other and they want people back in offices.

Management seems to be he-l bent on finding reasons to fire you, they never give positive feedback. Only time you hear from them is when they accuse you in the wrong or they find stuff to write you up. They dont coach for success, its coaching to destroy you. Wayfair used to be a decent place to work and management used to be supportive but the new culture is very destructive.

The current cycle was conducted more like a firing than a layoff. Staff were told early in the morning that the layoff was effective immediately. System access terminated within minutes and staff were walked out by a manager. Remote staff were notified by Zoom.
