Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

May layoffs? Round two?

May layoffs? Round two?

Does anyone smell may layoffs prior to desk movement in June?

Are there new onshore/offshore people joining your team?

@1p2 that is not accurate. The acquisition didn’t happen until end of August last year.

A year from what? It's already been over a year since the acquisition. What about the layoff for the low performers from last year's "review"? Many people with scores under 3 are still here...

If Sycamore is smart they would wait for a year until they can change the serverance. So October would make sense, as they committed to Walgreens in the contract to keep the benefits including severance.

Give me my severence and I'm gone. Being hourly, that's doubtful that would happen. Walgreens will find ways to fire employees to avoid paying severance.

Im not sure about May, but I have a feeling there will be one around June/July. I think another large one will hit in Jan 2027.

But who knows....Sycamore can do whatever. However, we can prepare a head of time and try to find a job.
