Question about layoff packages

Just a question, I'm not aware of anything happening. With the layoff packages, I think you get 4 weeks to look internal for another position. Do those 4 weeks count as time at Oracle. For example, if you vest 3 weeks after you were laid off... — read more

Been here a year

What I’ve learned in that time is pretty simple: effort and knowledge don’t matter. What matters is who you know. You can be terrible at your job, but if you’ve got the right connections, you’re set. Meanwhile, the people actually doing the work get... — read more

Anthropomorphizing Larry Ellison

Do not fall into the trap of anthropomorphizing Larry Ellison. You need to think of Larry Ellison the way you think of a lawnmower. You don't anthropomorphize your lawnmower, the lawnmower just mows the lawn. You stick your hand in there and it'll... — read more

Triple quotas

I think after the resource actions the reps left in DPR and OCI are fighting for next year's spot. These quotas set us up for failure again this year. Is this the plan? Where is the motivation. I actually like the company and products but how does... — read more

Oracle handled June 2025 layoffs POORLY!

Shame on Oracle for the mishandling of the June 2025 layoffs. The communication was disorganized and inconsistent—my direct manager told me one thing, while their superior gave me conflicting information. For a company that sells Human Capital... — read more

From 2014 to 2024, Oracle’s revenue rose from $38 billion to $53 billion, a nominal increase of 38%. Let's adjust for inflation: 35 % cumulative U.S. inflation over the same period, soooo - this translates to just 2.5% real growth over 10 YEARS!!!... — read more

What's with these small, stealthy layoffs?
