PTO Payout for Displaced is Early and Short?

My non-working notice ends 2/6 but I noticed on upcoming pay slip dated for 1/30 they paid some of my PTO (60 hours). I had 100 hours left when I was displaced in December, and thought I'd accumulate January/February as well. Should I expect another PTO pay out or did something get miscalculated? Everything thread I've seen on this topic mentioned getting PTO payout after your non-working notice ends but I'm seeing it before my notice ends and it's short. Thanks in advance!

PTO Payoff after layoff

Laid off on the 12th. Had the normal two weeks of PTO replenish as of the first of the year. I was told my balance would be paid out. Checked account today and the balance was recalculated and now it's zero. I'm assuming that I won't get that paid out now? Or does that mean they've already taken it out because I'm getting my last payroll check next week?

Did those in Minneapolis get any remote exceptions?

I’ve been in the Minneapolis office and it’s so empty. Are people taking PTO or did some managers actually care and give waivers due to the extreme cold and everything happening here? Personally my manager has not even pretended to care one bit or said anything

No PTO Payout

Just wow. I was displaced (last day of employment was 12/26/25). Unused PTO payout is due the last day of employment. WF did not make that final payment. When I called, HR Service Center the automated message says payment will be made Jan 30th??? WTH?! Will that include interest?

Lousy and incompetent!

Former AIG employee

Long story short, I left AIG for more $ and to expand on my insurance knowledge with different lines. AIG actually has the best PTO benefits out there the pay raises su-ked from my experience. I am looking to come back to AIG. What is the chances I would be hired back being a former employee and fully remote like it used to be?

Any Executives Just Login and space out? lol

I’m done riding the emotional rollercoaster of “today, tomorrow, next week.” Either let us go or let us sell—this limbo is exhausting.

Motivation has left the building, taken PTO, and blocked my number. Until the circus closes, I don’t see much contribution happening.

Best of luck to the folks making the cuts though—tripled goals with a bigger territory is… ambitious. You may want to pray, plan an escape route, or both. 😂

Got in trouble with HR for normal PTO usage

Had some wfh days due to flu/illness, and had too many PTO days that created a pattern.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years all fell on a Thursday this year, which led to a lot of my off days being similar and created a pattern.

Feels like I got in trouble for very PTO usage and not coming in when I was sick. Now bonus and pay raise is being threatened.

HR is absurdly strict last two years. Seems like they are overhired and just trying to drive people away or find an excuse to pay people less.

Shut it down!!!

I have been reading these posts for months now and everyone is upset, but nobody wants to do anything about it. If you were unionized, you would strike. You can, however, have a sickout and slow things down a lot. Use your PTO time, before you are let go. Let the folks in Penny’s garden roll up their sleeves and try to do the work.

team meeting sounded ominous

Boss repeatedly thanking team for their efforts and that this will be tough year. Almost like good bye thank yous. I think boss knows their name is on the rif list.

Oh also when I went to put pto in system my title was changed to a lower title then what I have (or thought I had lol )

Good times. Don’t stress out nothing you can control. So just keep your head down and punch the clock until they tell you to stop (while also applying externally).

Community service hours count as in office?

I am trying to make it to bonus day in early February. Only have 3 carry over PTO days and that only gets me until MLK week. I do not want to go into office as an hour away. I also grabbed all my personal stuff from office and do not plan on going back.....I know PTO of 4 hours meets the 3 day a week goal and exemption me on 8 hour a day requirement. Do 4 hours of community service meet the same 3 days and 8 hour requirement as well if use 3 a week?

Looks like we get 16 hours of community service hours at start of year which would get me to February..(I know they won't prorate these days when I turn in notice but would do PTO). Also, would they try to get funds back for USA floating holiday and Personal holiday if I use them before quitting/ retiring?

It’s time for transparency

Following up on the email from yesterday regarding the 401k and today's town hall, I need to address the ongoing issues we're facing. It’s unacceptable that we are constantly being pressured to violate labor laws by working through lunch. PTO has essentially been eliminated, and now we have to seek permission from Workforce just to take time off.

Additionally, being asked to handle two chats at the same pay after the recent pay cuts is beyond unreasonable. We deserve clarity on what management truly expects from us. Why is there a lack of communication regarding the reasons behind these changes? Are the whistleblower TikTok videos the cause of this? It’s time for transparency and respect for the workforce.

Well said, @2m0+1katwry9c.

Warning: Check your last check. They did not pay my entire PTO out

Heads up. If you're in a state that makes companies pay PTO after termination, look at your final check.

They paid roughly 1/10th my actual PTO and calculated the hours wrong.

Email them now before you sign any severance.

Layoff after a divestiture

What happens when an employee is laid off after a divestiture? Like when a severance is paid how many years of service is taken into account: is it the number of years at OT or at the new company? or do employees get a severance during divestiture? what happens to their PTO days etc.

Unpaid Leave – Bridge to Retirement

Anyone else seeing this in their SAP profile? "Unpaid Leave – Bridge to Retirement" for time? What exactly does that mean? I mean I got the over 55 and over 10 years of service, but is that just some admin limbo status placeholder? or does it actually mean something? Someone told me that at one time, even if a person was RAd, they got like 2K blue points, but I don't see anything about that anywhere. I also in vacation/PTO calendar its all approved until the end of the year.
