Or maybe he left in the middle of a pay cycle and is just grossly overreacting.. Perhaps he needs to wait for the normal pay cycle to complete...
It seems like this employee quit and was not paid his unused pto or on-call time, I think you have a legal case here.
I don't think there was any layoff, what did you do wrong?
