WorldPay got an extra PTO day each summer and could do Summer Friday's and log off early. Does Global have something similar?

People care about time and peace. They care about watching their kids grow up. They don’t care about climbing the ladder. Still make money, but not at the cost of your life.
I haven’t been able to take off more than two days at a time. I have requested more, and “taken” a week off, but my boss calls me at some point or I am expected to be available as there is no one else who really does my job. So what feels like a little security also feels like I never get a minute to breathe. It’s really hard.
Last two summers we have had wellness week and you get 1 day off during that specific week.
No summer Fridays.
@b4 thanks, WP never got Juneteenth as a dedicated holiday but we could use a rotating holiday PTO for it
Knowing that most leadership positions are being taken by Worldpay people, maybe we can hope for a true work life balance one day.
@b4 I hope management gives you a nice, long pat on the head for being such a good employee. Exemplary!
We have gotten Juneteenth off and are gifted a free health/wellness PTO day (an extra paid day off) the past two summers. Don't listen to these id--ts. They probably work remote and give a good 12 hours max of work per week and still complain.
Global has a program for days off its called the Never ending layoff. They havent rolled it out to everyone yet, but don't worry its getting there. Next focus will include Canada. They usually want you to have 5 years in minimum before you qualify. Its part of their Perks at Work .
No. Nothing like that around here.
