Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

PTO auto approval, sign of layoff?

Recently the PTOs are auto approved and not from the manager, anyone noticed this in the past that affected their role?

@cf Ew. Micromanage much? You should be able to see the PTO calendar yourself and manage your own team without making them jump through extra hoops.

@g2 I’m in client services and reading on here I think the United States employees are gonna be obsolete in like 2 years max.

@bn Exactly. This is not new. Which is why I asked my team to send me calendar invites when they scheduled PTO.

It's just a formalization of an existing policy. Prior to this, PTO requests would auto-approve in a few days.

Everything is a sign of pending layoffs. Because they will be doing more layoffs. Multiple projects going on to open more offshore locations and HIH office is being expanded for another couple thousand “employees”.

Meanwhile CSC out here closing tickets without resolving the and telling management level that issues being reported are non issues.

This is gonna lead to one. One big f@ck!ng mess.

It's a new policy, received an email about it a couple weeks ago.

Our manager informed us a couple weeks ago this would be happening and wanted us to check the team calendar before requesting PTO.

She mentioned this was new to her.

Not sure what's behind it if anything.
