Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

When do we get our last paycheck if your last day is April 21st?

My last day is today but I didn’t receive my last paycheck that comes with the PTO/ sick days. Does that mean it’s coming in on Thursday?

Can anyone please put some light when to expect severance amount after the separation date? It's been more than a month.

@2qs if you are referencing the "Rule of 60", you have to be at least 50 and your age plus years of service must equal 60. Then you get the full year (whatever is unused) PTO payout. Unused unplanned time is not paid out.

@2q4 when to expect the severance?

@2q4 are you 50 or older? I can’t get a straight answer to whether you have to be at least 50 or just have age + years of service >= 60. If the latter then I would also be eligible for it.

@OP My last day was April 21st. I received today what I believe is my last paycheck.

I think it also contains my PTO as it is a lot more than an 'normal' pay amount. I am eligible for the 'rule of 60'.

Until I see my pay-stub (they mail it), I will not know the exact details of what is in the check.

Notification date: Jan. 14th.
Non-working started Jan 17th, term date was March 17th.
My last paycheck was given March 13th and included: last 7 days non-working and PTO payout, (including carryover days).
Special bonus: March 20.
Severance: April 22nd.

Pretty sure some dates, etc., are tied to laws in your state, etc.

@qf

Yes same situation as you. Make sure you flood them with emails and constant reminders because Citi And Citi HR are Incompetent, easily confused infants and Br@!n D3ad.

Make sure you also get an HRC Ticket Request Number. This is an automated email where the server assigns a ticket number to your email.

State in your emails the pay periods that included the PTOs you were incorrectly charged for and thus deducted from your paycheck.

Depending on your location send emails to:

APAC: HRDASIA@citi.com

NAM: HRDNAM@citi.com

Europe & UK: HRDEUR.UK@citi.com

Middle East & Africa: HRDMEA@citi.com

LATAM: HRDLATAM@citi.com

Mexico: HRDMexico@citi.com

I had 8 days of carryover PTO from 2025 that I wasn’t able to use. My termination date was April 16. When I reached out to HR, I was informed that I would be paid for the unused carryover PTO since I wasn’t able to use it before the April 1 deadline due to being impacted earlier in the year.

I received a payment today that appears to include accrued PTO through my termination date, but it doesn’t seem to reflect the carryover PTO from last year.

Has anyone had a similar experience, or can confirm whether carryover PTO from the prior year is paid out in this situation?

@az thanks for clarifying @aw.

I understood PTO and severance were separate.

@aw What you said is incorrect

My last day was March 17

I received PTO payout on March 27

Severance not yet received....that is the only thing that is 3-4 pay cycles after term date

HR said the severance payments (which includes unused PTO) are usually processed 3 to 4 pay cycles after your final paycheck.

@ab My checks always hit on Friday.

I really don’t know but I doubt it will be on the check we get this week.

Should be on the final check on May 8th.

@a9 so we’ll likely get it this Thursday then instead of Tuesday?

Today is also my last day. I am not an expert but here is my best guess.

Our last paycheck stated it was for pay period 03/22/26-04/04/26.

So it stands to reason that the check we get this week will be for 04/05/26-04/18/26.

I would think we would receive a final check 05/08 for 04/19/26 to 04/21/06. That check will hopefully have the PTO included.

Again, this is just my guess.

Severance timing is unknown. Hopefully 30 to 60 days from today.
