I was rif'd in February and I noticed my paycheck was a lot hiring. Looks like they paid out PTO. Anyone else get that paid out? I didn't think they were going to pay PTO because of the new policy that came out last year. Could it be a state rule? I'm in NY.

Is t the last notification period check on 5/1 since the people impacted on 2/19 have a termination date of 4/25? If PTO is paid out it would be in that one.
There was a recent email about it including reimbursement of what was paid for BTO to be included as a separate line item in the last paycheck. Likely covering themselves legally.
Some states have specific laws requiring payout of PTO.
They paid me for days I was approved to take off, prior to getting let go.
