RTO and Salary

For those that believe that remote workers are running errands and doing laundry on "company time", most remote employees are salary. That means they are paid to do a job, regardless of the # of hours they work. Some might get all of their work done in 25 hours, and others might need to work 50+ hours. It is the job of their leader to evaluate their work and determine if they are doing the job that they were hired to do. They do not make OT, so if they actually do a load of laundry between meetings, they are not stealing company time. If they are in the office 40 hours/week it does not mean that they are completing more work.

Open enrollment a benefit?

It’s curious how benefit solutions keeps calling this a vital benefit but meanwhile, they probably wish most of us gone or d.ead.
And the cost of this stuff just went up 6%. That’s nearly 4 times more than the rate my salary went up. Benefits are supposed to be beneficial. All I do is get poorer here.

How is Collateral Management

I received an offer as a Full-Stack Senior Associate on the Global Collateral Management Platform called access edge. Is this a good platform to work on?

I have a few years of experience as a full-stack engineer but was laid off so I need a job. I found this forum and it scared me a bit.

What salary is typical for a senior associate in PA or FL? I'm able to pick between the two locations. Not sure if my offer is low or I was just expecting more. No mention of a bonus. is there a bonus for senior associate engineers?

Great place to work.

Let’s talk about those emails we’ve all been getting — the ones trying to “explain” why our paychecks are about to shrink. Apparently, because there’s an extra pay period this year, instead of actually paying us for that extra period, the company decided to stretch our annual salary across 27 checks instead of 26. Translation? Every single paycheck is smaller.

For a lot of us, that’s not just a minor math adjustment. That’s bills. That’s gas. That’s food. That’s medication. We budget every dollar, and now the dollars are disappearing — all because leadership didn’t want to “overpay” their own employees for the work we already do.

And as if that wasn’t enough, they’ve slashed the company’s contribution to our Health Savings Accounts too. It used to be $1,200 a year — now it’s $900. And you only get that full $900 if you match it yourself. So not only are they giving less, they’re making you pay to get it.

The timing couldn’t be more insulting. After docking our AIP bonuses this year — supposedly to “balance finances” — they somehow found room for executive bonuses that skyrocketed into the millions. The president’s pay alone reportedly doubled to over $25 million. So while the rest of us are watching our paychecks shrink, the top is cashing in on the sweat and exhaustion of the people who actually make this company run — the nurses, techs, and support staff who show up every day and take care of our members like they’re family.

And let’s not forget the cherry on top: instead of loading that $1,200 HSA at the start of the year when we actually need it, they’re now dribbling out $33 per paycheck. That’s $66.66 a month. I’m sorry, but I don’t need to see that number show up in my account every month — it’s bad enough without the symbolism.

We’re the ones carrying this company — not the executives, not the board, us. The ones working short-staffed, fielding calls, and doing the impossible day after day. And the thanks we get? Smaller paychecks. Less help. Less respect.

They tell us to “remember the bigger picture.” Well, here’s the bigger picture: without us, there is no company. No record profits. No executive bonuses. No “success stories.”

So here it is — loud and clear: stop taking from the people who keep you afloat. Stop cutting from the bottom to feed the top. You can’t preach “member care” and “employee appreciation” in the same breath you’re docking pay and slashing benefits.

We see what’s happening. We’re tired. And we’re done staying quiet about it.

Update from a laid off ex Cargill

680 job applications later and only 15 interviews in 6 months ( yes the job market is horrible) I finally was offered a job. I strongly recommend if you are still there to be looking as it can take longer than 6 months right now.

Oh and it's 40k more than I was getting at Cargill who said how competitive they were.

Ha

Left on my own.

I have left due to being significantly underpaid. My manager was a true mentor and I liked working there. If you want to join you want to make sure you negotiate a good salary ahead of time as you'll have much harder time getting anything in addition to whatever they give when you start at USI. Overall, I'd say the company is 3.8 on a scale 1 to 5 where 5 is the best.

Severance Pay - Share your Numbers!

Bored. I can’t hide the fact that I’m nervous about layoffs. I’ve been with the company for over 8 years.

If you’re open to sharing, how many years did you work for the company, what was your salary at the time, and how much did you get paid? Did it include bonus? What’s the tax percentage they held?

Q3 is ending. Time to complete the rest of the layoffs is quickly approaching

Walmart needs a really good story to tell at the Q3 earnings call. What better way than to cut more US workers and save a ton of money on salaries! Remember, they have thousands of already approved H1B positions and the obvious closeness between the Indian outsourcers and Walmart leadership pretty much paints the picture of what’s to come.

Wealth Management Bonus

I am interviewing for a marketing position. Can someone please provide me any numbers on the bonuses that wealth management marketing receives. The salary is little bit higher than what I am making. HR mentioned the bonus % is anywhere between 25-40% of base salary. This is for SVP position.

Testing the waters. Salary range

Can anyone on here tell me what a reasonable range for a VP job in Lake Mary would be (formally K grade prior to the restructure). Glassdoor is useless. I know I’ll get more trolls than help on this post but maybe 1 honest prisoner of this place will help out haha. Last time I saw a post like this someone said 100k in Pune and I rolled

Offshoring adds 15% to my workload

Even for people who don’t get cut offshoring adds to my workload so it essentially lowers mu salary. How? Because I now have to coach and fix the mistakes these new “equal partners” make every day. Add that to my regular job. H1B Visas are changing and hopefully offshoring will get hit too.

How many people left their job at Boeing then came back and regretted it?

I left Boeing a year ago and have been watching the company from the sidelines. Honestly, I can't see any improvements since I left the company. Boeing's salaries are low; especially with the cost of living in Seattle the benefits are average at best. Why bother going back.
I was shocked when Boeing won the F-47 Next Generation Air Dominance Fighter. Believe Boeing will perform poorly on that contract with the risk of cancellation.

Year end compensation exercise

Hello,

I joined the bank in July. On the HR website, it says that “new hires are eligible for a base salary adjustment if hired before September 30.”

At the same time, it seems like I will automatically receive a “Too New to Rate” rating.

Will I still be eligible for a base salary adjustment?

PIL

Has anyone heard of anyone that was put on a PIP not being eligible for the PIL if they opt out of the PIP? The person in question was a salary employee if that matters.

San Antonio surplus!

There’s some solid information that’s come to my desk about mass layoffs for San Antonio coming within the next 6 months. They will be consolidating to a “super center” and will be laying off people that are getting paid a higher salary than what new reps off the street get. There’s absolutely no benefit for the company to keep paying senior employees close to or over $40 an hour when new employees get well under $20 an hour to do the same work. The company is going to start hiring new reps and once they have a solid amount to maintain the call volumes, they will start weeding out the old employees. Stay safe and be prepared folks. CWA STRONG!

Contractors win!!

Amazes me daily contractors loving there positions at XOM. Must be nice to make twice my salary as an hourly contractor. Oh but you get benefits!….Seriously, so do they! And we pay for that. Oh but you will get a pension….. if I’m lucky! If you’re smart only go to ExxonMobil as a contractor. They get treated better than employees. Kudos to the PIP’d ones I’ve seen come back as contractors!….WTF?!?! Not good enough to be an employee, but let us pay you more to be a contractor!…. While we hardly give our employees raises.
