Job listings are absolutely insane now

I've been casually looking at job boards and I'm mildly put shocked by what I'm seeing. One posting today wanted a single person to run their social media, manage their email marketing, analyze campaign data, handle customer support tickets, train new hires, and manage a small team. That's at least three different jobs. Plus they wanted five years of experience in each area. Plus a degree. Plus full time in office. The salary range was $65k to $75k. Are companies actually finding people willing to do all of this, or are they just posting fantasy descriptions and wondering why they can't fill them? Anyone else noticing this inflation of expectations?

Receiving

Does anyone have the job description for the receiving captain position? Looking at some job postings and curious what it actually entails at your store. What do you do besides fulfillment and working the truck deliveries?

Relocating was such a mistake

I moved across the country for State Farm based on what they told me during interviews. Now that I'm here, the role and team setup are completely different from what I agreed to. My responsibilities aren't even close to what we discussed. You can't just undo a relocation like that but they act like it's no big deal. Nobody seems to give a damn.

Insight into job levels

Is there a resource in Workday or on the Intranet with information on job levels? There are open roles in my job level but the titles senior to mine. I’d like to understand how titles align with levels and if there are parameters around levels of new positions that one can apply for.

POST REORG JOB SCOPE REALITY

are others finding that the job they signed up for in this latest reorg is not at all the job they are expected to perform? I know it’s not illegal for an employer to change job duties, but is sure seems fu---d up. I really wish that I had requested the EOI.

Beauty Merchandiser position

I noticed that Beauty Merchandisers (previously listed as Cosmetic Stock Associates) used to be full-time, but this week I saw several new Cosmetics Merchandising Associate positions posted as part-time. Are there still full-time beauty merchandisers in stores, or were those roles converted to part-time? Or are these new part-time positions meant to support the full-time staff? Given the responsibility associated with that role compared to the pay. Their compensations should align more with that of a visual captain.

Does anyone else feel like they were lied to about their role?

I’ve been here for a bit now and it’s almost funny to go back and look at the original job posting when I first applied for this job. It’s criminal how badly they misrepresented the role here. You do the elaborate, unnecessarily long training, and then bo-m, you’re in an absolute grind of helping old people with tech problems and being a punching bag for frustrations for most of the day. You quickly realize that this is nothing like you thought it was, and even different than what was presented early on in training. Very different from the image that was presented in the interviews and offer letter. Just fun to reflect on this sometimes.

So did everyone look at their job profile?

What do you think? Are they all as shockingly bad as mine ended up? Email yesterday said 70-90% in line with current responsibilities, mine is literally 0%. It was clearly written for an entirely different industry.

It's frankly embarrassing how disconnected HR is from the reality of what we do.

Coding Analyst Role

I got a new role as an internal applicant Coding Analyst they switched my team that I would work on and told me about the switch 2 days before training. This other team does not sound like a Coding Analyst Role it sounds like a Medical Coder role not even clear what the work is supposed to be. Is this a normal thing at Optum with the bait and switch last minute? Anyone have any insight?
