In 2025, EPAM Systems is reportedly undergoing silent layoffs, with many employees on the bench being asked to leave due to a lack of long-term projects. Most available projects last only a few months (2, 3, or 6 months), after which employees are again placed on the bench and must prepare for interviews to get assigned to new work. This cycle of short-term projects and frequent bench periods has become a regular pattern within the organization.

The whole industry is upside down
And layoffs are rampant. The demand is tapering off and customers/clients are asking for more with less people and $$$. So, that'd be the environment right now. Things will continue to trend down and it's so hard to find jobs nowdays with everyone laying off people, budgets goin down, etc. Plus tariffs plus geo-political instability plus AI - you get what I am trying to say...
Good luck no matter what!!!!!
Is it over?
Are we done with RIFs for 2025? I get that we will always have smaller RIFs but is the major one done with? Do we historically have RIFs during the holidays? Are there going to be changes to organizations because of the massive amount of RIFs in October?
More layoffs in works.
This will be a global impact, the US will be hit the most. just my opinion based on the vibe.
Layoffs
Anybody in Finance worried? They have automated so many reports it feels like they are preparing to RIF us.
Layoffs at GV
They’ve been letting people go at GlobalLogic recently. It’s not a great consulting firm at all - there are serious workplace issues.... i’ve heard reports of unprofessional behavior, managers shouting at employees, and very low pay. They dismissed someone I know, and another acquaintance mentioned a large round of layoffs. I honestly haven’t heard much positive feedback about the company. What’s surprising is that they don’t even offer small holiday gestures like Christmas baskets or traditional treats. . The pay is very low - senior staff reportedly earn around 2 million a month after deductions. the whole industry seems to be declining.
Ami Colé Closed Permanently
You can visit the site it's empty, no products. I think thewere based out of Edgewater. I think 100+ people got laid off.
November 14
Was anyone laid off in early September given a termination date of November 14?
FOOD FOR THOUGHT. You are not essential you’re just a number on the spreadsheet no matter how important you think you are!
Let’s start with the heart of it: their employees. Chevron loves to slap “safety first” on their ads, but the reality? It’s a revolving door of near-misses turning into nightmares. Just this year, in June 2025, their own CEO, Mike Wirth, had to send out an internal video basically admitting safety’s going to he-l in a handbasket—rising injuries, close calls piling up, and he’s begging staff to “reinforce standards.” Like, dude, that’s your job! But here’s the gut punch: This isn’t new. Back in 2013, a massive explosion at their Richmond, California refinery ki-led a 46-year-old worker because Chevron straight-up failed to train him properly on the hazards. And in 2014? A gas well blowout in Pennsylvania fried 27-year-old contract worker Ian McKee alive—OSHA slapped them with a $940K fine, but who cares when profits are rolling in? Fast-forward to now: Their El Segundo refinery racked up 46 environmental safety violations in just the last five years, and over a decade? It’s a laundry list of leaks, fires, and fines totaling millions. They even coughed up $160 million in 2018 to settle claims over refinery accidents that could’ve been prevented with basic oversight. If you’re clocking in at Chevron, you’re not valued—you’re expendable. One wrong valve, one skipped safety check, and poof, you’re a statistic. They preach “people before profits,” but the bodies say otherwise.
And don’t get me started on the communities they’re “blessing” with their operations. Chevron’s track record is a horror show… Take Ecuador: For decades, they dumped billions of gallons of toxic waste into the Amazon rainforest, wiping out Indigenous communities and leaving a cancer cluster the size of a small country. A court hit them with a $9.5 billion judgment in 2011, but Chevron dragged it out for years, accusing everyone else of fraud while dodging payment. They finally “won” an appeal in 2018 by crying foul, but the damage? Irreversible—kids born with birth defects, rivers that glow at night, entire villages relocated. Or look at California: They’re fueling Israel’s gas ops, propping up what critics call apartheid and war crimes while communities back home deal with refinery flares belching carcinogens into the air. A 2021 report clocked dozens of unresolved environmental lawsuits against them, with Chevron ghosting fines and cleanup costs like it’s optional. These aren’t accidents; it’s a pattern. They swoop in, extract, pollute, and bounce—leaving locals to foot the health bills. Communities aren’t partners; they’re collateral damage.
Oh, and the lies? Chevron’s greenwashing game is Olympic-level. They’ve been caught peddling this “climate-friendly” BS while funding denial campaigns for 50 years. California AG sued them in 2023 for decades of deception—hiding how their fossil fuels torch the planet while smiling for ads about “net-zero” dreams that are pure smoke. In 2021, watchdogs filed an unprecedented FTC complaint: Chevron’s ads claim they’re slashing emissions, but their plans? A measly 5-10% cut that’s basically a rounding error while they drill like tomorrow’s canceled. And just last month, October 2025, they’re in court again, falsely smearing a lawyer in a $51B climate fraud case as the bad guy—Oregon county called it out as baseless BS. Even in New Mexico, they got busted allegedly faking remediation reports on oil wells, lying about cleanup to keep fracking unchecked. Shady? This is criminal. They lie to regulators, to you at the pump, to Wall Street—anything to keep the cash flowing.
Look, if you’re a Chevron employee watching this—I’ve seen the X posts, the layoffs hitting 8,000 of you this year alone, the burnout stories from rigs to refineries—you’re not “essential.” You’re a number on a spreadsheet, squeezed for overtime, exposed to hazards, then pink-slipped when oil prices dip. They use you daily, wear you down, and when you’re broken? Next applicant. It’s not a job; it’s exploitation wrapped in a uniform.
RIFTs
I heard people got let go today. At least some.
Anyone care to share their story?
Badge Swipes Question
Are badge swipes one of variables used for layoffs?
Layoffs?
With Amazon and others announcing big layoffs and since this is a layoff blog , when is fds going to announce some ?
For those affected by the layoffs who received an extended end date, is there a possibility that the date could be moved up?
First off I want to say it’s been great working with everyone here. These past 5 years have certainly blew by with all the ups and downs and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. I was part of this round of layoffs but will be staying until early next year (Golden Globes?) and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a chance the separation date could move up?
Keep your heads up.
Amazon Laid Off 14,000 Employees This Week
Will AT&T compete to this extent before the end of the year?

Tech Layoff Scope
With yesterday's announcement of the T&D reorg there were a lot of people laid off, but it's hard to know the scope since they don't announce anything anymore. What's everyone hearing? I know of four tech VPs that were let go, and it sounds like a bunch of SDs/ADs/Mgrs as well, and I know of at least a handful of individual contributor from one specific area.
HMP Lies
They will tell you in Townhalls that other places "like" the Open Plan, unassigned hoteling.
The truth is that if you actually speak to any of those "other places" (San Ramon, Perth, etc.); none of them have a good thing to say about it.
HMP is a slow motion disaster, designed to get you to quite without severance.
karma
C-Suite. KARMA for selling off D/FW FiOS HQ to inept Frontier out of toilet trash ROCHESTER!
CMO Cut Today- Other too?
Confirmed with a co-worker that came from a meeting just now that the CMO was cut today (Sashi M). Some people will say this is good, others will say this is bad. Simply calling it out as there was more layoffs today. Not sure if it was just him or if there was additional leaders but more people are gone.
Reasons for layoffs!
I will start: C-level folks like $$$, pumping up their bonuses. China and tariffs and all other competition. The analog semi market is in shambles, demand is down and wafer starts are down - this will persist for a while. Meanwhile, we'll keep cutting but this will turn at some point.
With the guidance TI gave last week we should all expect layoffs to continue for a while.
There should be no doubt. I guess we'll be using this site a lot. Not a good thing at all.
London
They keep laying off people. They are also moving as many jobs as possible to EMEA + APAC but it's not going as fast as they would like as some roles are hard to move. I do not doubt for a second that they will continue with this and that, eventually, everything meaningful and with scale, will be moved out.

Honeywell layoffs
Just heard many people at Honeywell in Charlotte were let go.
I’m still gathering details.
All Colleague Townhall
Their fragile egos just refuse to take any accountability. Of course culture and morale are high when they don't have to answer to anyone (the board of directors asleep at the wheel), don't have to worry about being laid off, and collect fat bonus and merit increases no matter what. Don't accept their relentless gaslighting and keep speaking up on their lack of leadership and poor performance.
Reduction In Force 2025 confirmed
There seems to be a big RIF coming. Not sure exactly who’s impacted but seems like there’s going to be a lot. Today was the last day HR submitted it in their “RIF Tracker”. Goodluck yall.
hr meeting
i see a sudden meeting with hr, is it scary?
Layoffs this week
There were high level engineers laid off this week. Does anyone know how many?
How long will the decline last?
Our stock has been on a steady decline for the last 6 months and shows no sign of any rebound. We now stand at more than an 11% decrease in stock price during this time period. On Market capitalization of $323 Billion, we ( our shareholders) have lost an amazing $32 Billion in this amount of time. How long will the patience last? How long will SAP go before it must drastically cut costs to stop the losses since we are not able to close the gap with increased revenue?
Do not think that our Board does not see that major layoffs are accelerating across sectors, with Amazon cutting 14,000 jobs, UPS slashing 48,000 positions and Microsoft (our partner) on track to cut at least 16,000 so far this year (with perhaps more to come).
The reality is that some of the factors driving these layoffs are beyond SAP's control and were cited by our CFO in the Q3 review, such as: Trump’s tariffs, rising operational costs and massive AI investments as primary drivers of the widespread job cuts. At the same time SAP will increase it's proposed buyout of $4.5 Billion of BlackLine, which offer they rejected. The message is clear, SAP's only hope of survival is to attempt to "buy" our way into profitability and market survival.
But will it work? I think not by itself. Let us all be prepared, our Board is fighting for their own survival. Shareholders will not close out the year on such poor stock performance without some pull back. The "quick" fix will be to do with so many other companies are doing which is to employ widespread layoffs to hopefully reduce the damage the stock has been suffering from for the last half of this year. Q4/25 and Q1/26 are likely not to be good for us - stay alert and prepare yourselves for what may be coming in the months ahead.
No self-assessment for those who are getting laid off
Why would Verizon waste time and resources asking employees to add their accomplishments if they’re getting rid of them? The portal is opening around November 24th. Whoever got the email might be safe — but who knows
Is GVSE Being Reshaped Into Early-in-Career Roles?
Anyone else seeing what’s happening in GVSE right now? From what I’m hearing, any new roles are being restricted to grade 7/8s. Combine that with all the automation initiatives being pushed on us (auto discounts, auto del reg approvals, auto emails via Gong), and it really feels like the intent is to make these “Early in Career” roles going forward.
For those of us who’ve been here for 5+ years, it’s hard not to feel like they’re trying to clear space for younger, cheaper talent. There’s almost no room left to be strategic or to bring real experience into the process. Leadership has done little to help us adapt to this new pod model. No real enablement, no clear direction, just constant change with minimal support.
Honestly, I’ve never felt more de-motivated in my career at Cisco. It feels like the GVSE space is slowly collapsing, and we’re being left behind in the process.
Wondering how everyone else is feeling in the GVSE space. Am I just being paranoid?
Schulman
Really sheds a light on how unserious our leadership team has been for the past 5+ years, it's too bad he's going to fire my a-s because this is the first time I've actually heard someone at that level make any sense whatsoever
OUT OF TOUCH CEO
If you were unlucky enough to get that god-awful “Friday Note” from, you know who, then you’ve already witnessed the nauseating display of wasteful spending happening at headquarters. With threats of massive layoffs hanging over everyone’s heads, right before the holidays, mind you- it’s beyond tone-deaf to flaunt their lavish parties and celebrations.
It’s absolutely deplorable. A disgusting, out-of-touch flex from people who clearly have no clue what it’s like to worry about paying rent/mortgage, feeding their kids, or surviving after Q3 earnings hit and heads start to roll. While the field scrambles to hold everything together, they’re busy partying it up on our dime. I can only imagine the “celebrations” they have on the company dime that they don’t dare share images of.
I’m genuinely embarrassed to be associated with such a shameless and heartless company
Vehicle repos at highest level since the Great Recession (2009)
Car sales to follow.
Get out now voluntarily while you can.
The extractive model can only go so far
You can’t raise fees forever, and you can’t keep cutting people indefinitely. At some point you either build a sound business, or everything eventually falls apart.
More coming over next two weeks
Other functions cutting next week and the following week. Good luck all!
Even with all the layoffs, trouble makers are still there
Hearing about so many layoff, yet the people who put us in this situation are still around. Unless we remove those bad apples, how could someone change the company?
Some teams got gutted. Again.
I get the feeling that whoever’s making these layoff decisions is just incredibly lazy. Cutting by numbers without any deeper thought, let alone real strategy. My team hasn’t had some roles backfilled since forever, and you can definitely feel it in our performance and workload. I think the company loses far more than it gains by letting people go. Layoffs have turned into nothing more than a performative exercise to prop up the stock.
