Just got called into a meeting about how long bathroom breaks “should” be, and what times we are “allowed” to take them. AP has camera footage and tracks employees that are on the clock. How is this legal!??

At belk if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is in fact a squirrel.

Why would a store hire a Fine Jewelry Manager without a staff? ( team store) Or, is it so they can put out all the accessories plus handbags? What a royal title without clout.

We are able to hire warm bodies . That is all. $14-$16 starting, some positions have zero applications. 😳😳 and if we do hire don’t expect much out of them.

Our new store manager has skipped the sale set for the last two weeks. The prices are just totally wrong throughout the whole building, and we are told to do overrides for the customers. Anyone else experiencing anything insane like that?

Merle Norman is a great option if there are any near you. Commission is much better than belk, without the insane requests for credit, working in other departments, and understaffing.

No more rigged best of belk awards for managers favorites?

Are you a store manager on an action plan? I would start looking for a new job. Action plans are one step away from termination.

Is everyone store high stress, bad vibes, toxic energy?
