Markets will decline for months. Just because the war stops doesn't mean things get back to normal right away. It will take years to recover and go back to normal. @he interest rates have been artificially low for almost 3 decades now. Time to rip off the band aid and butvthem back into the mid-teens where they should be.

My neighbor bought an electric truck last year, I laughed. Last summer he and his electrician brother built a car port with solar cells and a storage battery… I smiled in amusement..
Today he drove to work for free. I filled up and paid $45 for gas that will last me less than a week. I skipped my usual stop for coffee.
The US buys oil on the open market via whatever WTI is at current time.
It's great to have lots of oil. But, if you are buying it via WTI pricing, you get pinched. Now, if you no longer want to be a part of OPEC + etc etc, that would change things.
I have no doubt that the price at the pump was determined a while back. Gas companies are probably taking advantage of the situation.
The US has roughly 85 BILLION barrels of oil right now and is currently the #1 producer of oil in the world.
Gas prices have risen because OIL COMPANIES are taking advantage of this so called "war" - which there is no war - and obviously people have to get gas so... we are being scammed by the oil companies.
