Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Chances are

If you work for DXC you are right where you belong.
The good people have long ago left leaving behind groups of dead wood.
Sad part is, the dead wood are the ones that don't leave and are whining..
If you are working for this company in the US, you are on borrowed time. But if you are just hiding there, ride it out. Your next job will no doubt be a mimimum wager anyway.
Probably at Wal Mart or its equivalent
Glad to be gone after 10 years of carrying deadwood. ON ALL Levels!

@19w He’s doing nothing with refreshing honesty which comfortably puts him in the top 25% of top performers at DXC.

@19w
So now we know it’s @a3’s fault that the company is not doing well and nothing to do with the totally inept and hopeless management who are supposed to be driving the (lack of) direction and strategy of the business?
@a3 - pull your socks up and do better

@a3 You are the reason. the stock price keeps going down and you don’t get pay increases! Be a
professional and do the job you were hired for or find a new employer!

I'll take the monthly wage and work full time cash in hand on the side. DXC can keep funding my beer money.

If you have skills, exit asap for your mental and financial peace. Will definitely get more money outside and a stress free work experience.

I think DXC will either pay me a redundancy to go perhaps as soon as 1st April. Or DXC will pay me to do nothing all summer and it will either still have to pay me to leave. Or government backed schemes will pay out nearly as much in statutory protection. Like most I'm just riding it out. They stopped using my skills, so can hardly complain when I've forgotten how it all works. Especially when other suppliers are busy changing it all under our feet on projects we didn't win.

As the Iran war escalates, DXC is going to be one of the companies that takes the hardest hit. Europe, India and Japan were already struggling. China business basically gone. The Middle East was supposed to be a growth engine, now looks shaky overnight. Saudi footprint is evaporating day by day and regional tech investment is getting scrapped. DXC doesn’t have the balance sheet depth to ride out this next phase of major global slowdown. Revenue has already been shrinking for years. DXC is the easiest supplier to replace in many clients. They’re the expensive and boring legacy vendor that gets tolerated while companies focus on their strategic priorities. But once those priorities are done or the budgets tighten, the attention inevitably turns back to DXC and the question becomes how quickly they can be removed from the landscape for cheaper and better alternatives. When every region is under pressure at the same time, a company like DXC doesn’t have much margin for error.

Agree... RamsNuts, DA, Drummer all want to build empire to justify being paid. The orbit discussions I've been in would be hilarious if not so sad. Only guys who get on the list are who hurt the "leaders" feelings. HR are complete id--ts and just want numbers and don't care who. I have no time for HR but DXC seems to have kept all the id--ts who drowned CSC and promoted the RagWhoShouldBeGone I think that's how you pronounce her name 🤣

@a3 Not just me then! I've not been asked anything for weeks. They pay me to login ad add no value. I see no work on the horizon. I'm not just sitting here watching TV. I'm running a successful business. DXC money is an unexpected bonus. Why do they pay me to do nothing for them! They could make me redundant but for whatever reason seem reluctant to do so.

Absolutely love this place. I have so much freedom working from home 100% of the time that most days I’m not even in front of my PC. Best part is no one asks anything so I basically don’t have to do a thing. Truly living the best life.
