I see small and large startups kicking Intel’s a-s on all fronts. Unless we have a better way to compute that doesn’t include X86 it’s over.

Our future leaders are leaving
People I expected would be the next generation of leaders in IT are all leaving or appear to be planning their exits even if they appear to be in safe roles. I know some on here don’t care about IT but it’s going to continue to get worse as our best people leave for better options. 23 years with the company and moral has never been half as bad as it is now. Sad days for Chevron.
Future of virtual
If the return to office thing is happening, can someone confirm what will happen to virtual
There are thousands of virtual employees so they won't all be let go
Will they be told relocate ? Or will they remain virtual if over 50 miles to an office
Time to make some tough career decisions
I know it's not a fun topic, but with everything happening, it's probably smart to think about your next move. For some of us, that might mean taking a step back to learn new skills or even switching to a role with a better long-term future, even if the pay isn't perfect right now. The goal is to make sure you're still valuable on your own terms for the rest of your career. It's not fun, but that's what I've been focusing on.
This is the future
Somebody asked in another thread if we're going to do quarterly layoffs until only Atty is left, and frankly and sadly, I think that's much closer to the truth than the poster intended. The way things have been developing, it seems that we've reached the stage where layoffs, instead of only being used when absolutely necessary, have become something used regularly just to pad the numbers. That's our future.
A question for the new hires about the future
After being here a few years myself, I'm curious about the perspective of people who joined more recently. Do you view Chevron as a company where you can genuinely build a lasting career? I think the expectations are just different now than they used to be.
Future for OT
How will the company look in two years, OT is still hiring lots all around the world at the moment
If the company was going to get smaller or fail then they wouldn't be hiring
Need to understand the priorities of the company until 2031?

2026 Q1 reprieve or calm before the storm?
What do people think? A pause to see if the business turns around or even more cuts to come?
AI Layoffs
Somehow, after being RIF’d, I’ve come to believe that if AI truly represents the future, it may actually bring more fairness and consistency to decision-making. Unlike human systems that can be influenced by favoritism or bias, AI has the potential to evaluate people based on clear criteria, data, and merit rather than personal agendas.
Where will Verizon be?
Just make your best guess/bet. Where do you see Verizon 5-10 years from now?
What will next week be like?
Do you foresee more mass layoffs? Reduced benefits? Or maybe some positive changes?
No reported terminations, so all must be good
All the rumors were false and the future is bright for now. Happy new year

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2026!
What does your intuition tell you about how the firm will do in 2026? More layoffs? Higher stock price? Any changes at the C-suite level? Asking for a friend who is trying to decide whether to fire WF and how soon.
Will the company survive
Will the company survive another year ? And if so, how many employees will it have
What is the future of Quaker ?

Future Plans
In contemplating my future after being laid off from EJ, relying on a small severance and my depleting savings, I can see how people do something to go to prison. They will have shelter, food, daily exercise, health insurance, no utility or car payments and, I can study for a degree - even a law degree - without incurring any debt. Maybe not a bad gig....I'll have PP and DC to thank for this opportunity!
2026 Branch Banking Incentive Plan

H1B 2026 roles - what’s in store for us
Concerned what I see with companies this year with hiring & retaining H1B status employees. Trump’s shift on H1B quotas & increased cost is really encouraging most companies to avoid sponsoring H1B anymore. What moves will Cisco do with H1Bs in 2026, I getting more worried for 2026…
Future Walmart Greeter Here….
What companies will letting go of employees the first quarter of 2026?

What are the chances of the company going under in the next 2 years ? Or will it survive and turn itself around
i want to live good in 2026
staying at Dell in 2026 makes no sense at this point, time of change is here....
I'm Sorry Dave, I Can't Do That....
Hal2000 was conflicted in his assignments. I can't wait to see what happens when our AI models get surreptitious assignments with override codes like Hal2000 did. Yes, its coming!
"I'm sorry Bob, I just can't activate your account right now. You have been deemed a risk....please step aside and wait for the authorities....."
Yeah and there is no coming back from that scenario. Nope. None.
Has anybody been laid off today?
Now that the week is over, I'm just trying to figure out how long exactly it took to wrap things up. Just to be better prepared for the future.
"We want to get rid of the old by being ruthless"
If you're smart enough to read between the lines, you should see BIG changes coming up on the horizon
2026
have a lot of hope for the new year. clearly there are quite a few malcontents here that might want to consider greener pastures. but for the dedicated fiserv loyalists, the new year is going to rock!!!!
1k
1k days?
Are you planning on joining the employee stock purchase program?
I am interested in whether people are thinking of joining up.
My thoughts are that the company doesn’t feel very stable, the morale is low and I’m not really sure if growing the company is the real long term plan of our leadership. I still believe that we will be broken up and sold off.
So, I was wondering if I’m an outlier here and if others are feeling more optimistic about Solventum’s future.
Exxonmobil Singapore future doesn't look great
Wonder if anyone still have faith for ExxonMobil Singapore future. The recent cut was very harsh and again a political game in the company. No expected layoffs
It seems there might not be any layoffs from the general pool of people with the exception of those that took the VSP. VH didn’t address it and it seems the company is well position for the future. What’s your take on the townhall? Have you heard any rumors of any upcoming layoffs?
What other benefits do you think Mr. Bill Pulte is going to introduce in 2026
I can't wait. 2026 is shaping up to be great and prosperous year!
Frequent layoffs hurt the company’s future profits
I know that Verizon’s future success is the last thing on the mind of the people who have been laid off, but someone commented that layoffs and AI will help Verizon bounce back and become more competitive. I cannot let that go without an answer. That’s not the case at all. Layoffs are just short term financial engineering so the leadership can report lower labor costs during quarterly earnings.
VZ had voluntary and involuntary layoffs every year for the last 10 years. If layoffs made companies grow, VZ would be growing like crazy and the share price would reflect it.
Jeffrey Pfeffer, a professor at Stanford Business School, had studied the available data and came to the conclusion that frequent layoffs hurt in the long run.
