Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Dell Ireland?

Site in Limerick has lost it's buzz entirely. First time I've actually felt an unease about it's future & I remember the 2009 cull.

@qq Cork is tragic. Every shift they try and squeeze more and more juice from reliable lemons and give nothing back. Zero investment, penny pinching and shortcuts galore.
The AI racks are pathetic, they expect to get them built, tested and shipped within just a few days with no processes in place. Product is forced through the product lines with little quality control , and no one cares as long as daily shipping targets are met. Intercepting sealed product after it has shipped to open it up and fix something and then send it on it's way is becoming more common.

Limerick is fooked... does not have a champion like it used to... everyone is just going thru the motions hoping they dont get tapped and senior directors are holding out while the muppets I9 and below are used as cannon fodder to protect them

Pretty much the same in Dublin.
Do more with less and even less with all the added KPI's.

Limerick needs to go. Way too many undeserving people getting promotions over there because it's cheaper than US promotions.
