More RIFs coming - Evaporation of F5 Culture

Total panic
“The machines are coming! We need security! We need quality!” Amazing, right? For years, engineers were just “resources,” completely interchangeable, no need to listen to them. Now, overnight, they’re supposed to save the company from the big scary... — read more

YES! Forced Resignations are real
I am an NGINX Dev and I'm worried about my friend that works in F5 Digital. I can confirm forced resigns are happening in US and India. Be careful joining F5 Digital Team. If you've doubts, confirm with your friends at F5.
Forced Layoffs at F5
F5 started adopting forced resignations instead of layoffs. Recently did let go 22 members and no one is talking about it. It's very hard to choose a person from your team.

F5 Excellence
https://cdn.f5.com/product/bugtracker/ID2137653.html 2,137,365 reported bugs/flaws/errors/failures with F5 products. The Execs have to be proud of the milestone when they went over the 2 million mark. Bugs fixed - just a fraction.
Starting 1/1/2026 F5 is starting a No Bugs initiative
They will now be called Hallucinations
This is why all anomalies need to be investigated (something that doesn't happen at F5)

Layoff numbers this year
Looking back, it seems that fewer people were cut this year compared to recent ones. Yes, there were layoffs, but not as many as last and previous years. Curious if others are seeing the same thing.
Outsourcing the laid off talent from august?

below expected impact
does it mean layoff? if someone gets a ‘below expected impact’ rating, does taking FMLA or PTO offer any temporary protection, or could HR still move forward with actions while the person is on leave?”
Does F5 deserve a second chance? I say No

How to raise the f5 ship.
As f5 continues to sink we can turn this around. Go back to hiring people not on how they look but on what skills and vision they bring to the table. How John McAdam did it.
