Where did the TM(s) w/intel go?? I need more!

I've been monitoring this site for the last month or so. I'd like to ask whomever knew the actual details (dates, we'll get email to WFH next week, etc) to come back & post what we can expect on Tuesday. Will everyone getting a meeting invite - one group who are laid off & other who are not (at least not this round)? Will it be by pyramid? And why Tuesday? Why not just do it yesterday? Did MF send the email on Thursday because the rumor was growing or was that the plan all along? We didn't get a heads up in 2015, so while I guess it's nice to know it's coming, 5 days notice is just too long.

🚨 Rick Gomez & Jill Sando OUT? AI Says YES… But Is It TRUE? 👀

Word on the digital street: AI results are flagging Rick Gomez and Jill Sando as “OUT.”

NO official word yet since Fiddelke’s email, but AI whispers are blowing up across threads. If REAL, this could SHAKE Owned Brands, leadership, and strategy to the core.

Some say RUMOR, some say LEAK, some say REALITY. Either way, the chatter won’t die.

Who’s got insider intel, hints, or even half-confirmed whispers? SPILL IT ALREADY — we’re all ears ☕️

Stay away from the ISP plants

General update: US Silica was purchased by the Apollo Group ("wealth management firm") in August 2024.
Almost immediately layoffs in the corporate structure (not surpising, given a buyout)
Company is now ULTRA focused on cash - so very little capital spending, really digging into every bit of money spent.
Rumor is that they're trying to sell the Oil & Gas plants.
ISP - They laid off all of the mining employees at the Lovelock, NV plant. (Most of them got rehired by the contractor that they hired to run the mine now.) Several plant employees also laid off, not sure how many.
Decisions being made at the corporate level without regard/knowledge of how the DE plants run are going to make it impossible to keep the plants open. Orders in general on the DE side have been low since Nov 2024.
I'd stay away from US Silica. They also have a history of laying people off right after performance reviews (in November) . That way they don't have to pay any bonuses, since you have to be employed in March of the next year to collect the bonus from the year before.

GM design studio fire...

Well well well. Thankfully everyone is ok but unfortunately no one will blink an eye over this. All this talk about the design teams being next on the chopping block might have some merit.

GM's Design Studio in California Is Site of a Massive Fire https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a69137455/general-motors-design-studio-pasadena-fire/

These studios are not setup to safety handle pre production or prototype batteries. They will forgo safety equipment in the areas due to visual esthetics. They will actively resist skilled handlers because they are usually hourly workers. One poster said it the other day that people in the design studios are arrogant entitled people. In this instance no one got seriously hurt but next time they might not be so lucky.
