Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

When is the next round happening?

Looks like the February layoffs are complete & a reorg being announced this week in the TH. Any reliable info on if we’ll see another round of layoffs in 2026? Timing? What’s everyone hearing?

@b8 I am guessing they can end/cut the TCS contract and make their own GCC shop in India. Have a front presence in India. Just like Staples and many other US based companies.

I can see that new development causing layoffs/reorgs again, but seems to be teams are now pretty lean here, so not sure how much else they will remove? But who knows, 6 month is rough estimate I can see.

Corporate America is always selling out American workers to foreign cheap labors. Keeps our wages depressed when we are able to find a job, at that.

Walgreens has already been offshoring roles to India for years, and a bunch of roles this recent layoff also. It's called walgreens business services (WBS)
