Seems a number of below the radar RIFs happening in a variety of groups. Some higher grades too
Closing time
PZ last day!!!! Ready to welcome a fresh chapter with a new CEO who is already showing to be a lot more human than robot sitting in an ivory tower! Perhaps he can sort out the expensive mess that has become of AI.
Something is cooking
Something big is going on and there should be big news announced soon, does anyone has any clue?
The Layoff AIG Forum Archetypes
The Insider: The one who actually knows what’s going on behind closed doors. We’re all just here for your leaks. Keep the scoop coming. The Doom-Scroller: The person paralyzed by layoff anxiety. If you’re this stressed, just close the tab. The cuts... — read more
No more Hybrid ?
Looks like they might do away with the 4 day Hybrid. Take a look at the AIG US job postings. The majority say onsite. Has anyone heard anything about this?
The grass IS greener
I got pushed out after 10 years when they got rid of WFH. At first it was a shock, and then came the endless job search. But I ended up finding a great new job, and honestly, there is freedom on the other side. Leave if you can. You deserve so much... — read more
Anything New Rumors On The Domestic Side?
Has anyone heard any rumors of new layoffs on the USA domestic side? Last I heard was there was headcount was going to be brought down to a minimum.
I can't believe the UK gets Easter weekend off but not the US
I can't believe AIG is giving the UK off for Good Friday and Easter, bit not in the US. Go look at the UK holiday calendar vs US, they get a lot more time off than we do. Sad AIG doesn't treat everyone fair.
The McGill Acquisition is HUGE!!
This will send the stock on a run. Comp will follow. We’re so back. “ AIG has committed to 25% of McGill’s $1.6 billion gross premiums written specialty portfolio, allowing it to deploy capital at scale. The use of McGill’s digital platform and... — read more
Anthropic and Palantir
With Anthropic being labeled a supply chain risk by the US government and government contractors like Palantir having to cut ties with Anthropic or lose business with US agencies, how does this affect our AI systems? Does AIG stand behind Anthropic's... — read more
A message for the ones still at AIG
I've been gone a few months now and I just want to tell my old teammates to start shopping around. Update the resume, send it out, maybe hire a service to help. The job market is rough but staying put isn't the answer either. I wish I'd started... — read more
Raises
0% for managers in many groups. Fully met but 0% and lower Sti's than last year. Great year numbers wise in these groups. What's going on? They said they didn't have enough money and had to take care of people. Is it the $2M they had to give the... — read more
PZ departure
What’s behind it or always the plan to go in ‘26?
Raise % for Above and Beyond
Curious if anyone received an Above and Beyond rating and what % raise you received? I know of one colleague who did and their raise was 4%, which only equates to a couple thousand dollars more per year than if they had received a Meets rating and 2%... — read more
Hoping for VERP
Anyone here hopes for VERP again?
When did our entire IT in-house become Indian? Clearly Nepotism hiring
I had to go to the Charlotte office last week, and met with the Public Cloud Team. I am talking 100% are Indians, and I am sure most are on H1-B visas. Nepotism hiring is clearly going on here, and we are going to be in trouble if rumors about what... — read more
Growth
So Anderson says AIG is ready to grow... Are we going to buy other companies or what? I wonder if they will finally manage to create a working IT infrastructure with AI that actually helps people and doesn't drag them down
what's happening
What about the new emails retention policy? Doesn't make any sense... Something traumatic is happening if they want to erase everything
Upper management layoffs
I heard upper mgmt had some layoffs today. Anyone know anything
Package Please
Anyone else just wants a package at this point? I rather take the money. Leave this place and search for a new job with a long paid break. I think they purposely don’t pay us enough to make enough to save and leave.
Comp?
Has anyone heard when STI will be paid this year? Normally, we’d had heard by now the payout date.
Does Retirement Exist Here?
Does anyone actually make it to retirement here? Everyone I have known left on their own because of their managers, laid off or given a VERP option. The only people who made it to retirement are admins and Senior Execs.
Layoff
To the AIG team responsible for monitoring social media. Report back there should be layoffs. Focus on the toxic/useless managers. Leave the people doing the ground work of 2-3 people on one paycheck alone. There is no one left to cut on the ground... — read more
2026 layoffs are doubtful
I doubt there will be any major layoffs in 2026. They want to look good with the old CEO is leaving and the new joining. There are still remote employees around that did not let go. Some they did, wonder their justification?
Performance Review Time
Performance reviews here are a joke. They will shamelessly give good workers a bad review.
AIG is broken
It went from a good place with a future to a sinking ship. Management only cares about the stock price, not fixing our old systems or keeping people. The original idea is dead and we're all just waiting for the next bad news.
Former AIG employee
Long story short, I left AIG for more $ and to expand on my insurance knowledge with different lines. AIG actually has the best PTO benefits out there the pay raises su-ked from my experience. I am looking to come back to AIG. What is the... — read more
Waiting it out until retirement
Most of the people I know who are staying are close to retirement. They are unhappy but see no point in starting over this late. One coworker is months away and jokes about hoping for a layoff with severance. I keep telling him that luck never seems... — read more
Expecting positive changes with a new CEO is naive
They're all the same. All they think about is how to line their own pockets. That's their one and only goal. Don't expect much to change. I wish I was wrong, but I believe that we're in for much of the same.
New CEO
Thoughts on the new CEO? I’m happy to hear he has extensive insurance experience. Wonder if he has any thoughts on work from home.

Aig and everest
What's this renewal rights transfer supposed to mean for us? Some former colleagues went there with huge pay increase, they'll start regretting it now I guess
Nothing new?
No rumors? Nothing at all? Strange! I'm also curious on how WFH is going in USA, in Europe nothing changed as far as I know (many peer competitors still offer 3 days a week here, while AIG has only 2)
Rifs inbound
Was told by a friend in HR they are very unhappy with the Fortune 500 rating dropping so much and the earnings so they will be cutting cost.
