@ev Now you all see the big picture. That manager isn’t worried about you she is worried about her big bonus . Finally people will realize that person will say and do anything in order to get that cash.
@k1 we’ll have to assume your in a grade level that pretty much does nothing but sit on your butt and go to meeting while those who actually carry the organization get nothing.
@hp lol! same here! It felt like a slap on the face. We cannot survive on .36 raise and yet we are expected to give it our all? So not fair. How will they compensate us if anything. Does anyone know or are these tiny bonuses gone for good?
@OP OT 29 15000 rrp 8000 rsu 1% merit
Does Optum Tech have a higher funding rate for RRP? Some of these Grade 29s would put their salaries over $200k if it's 72%.
First time ever not getting a merit. Still got a 4 rating. 14.5k bonus. Im only here cause I generally like my job, telecommute. Only sticking around because im deciding whether I will retire early. I am independently wealthy so the no merit is not a big deal only that its still personally a slap in the face for the work I put in. Im not valued. Im just a dummy who has some internal drive to actually do a great job even knowing I'll get sc--wed on reward. Im just a good Lil soldier. I cant stand corporate bs. Can't to give a middle finger to the system.
@ek What is RSU?
@hp I don't understand why they took our small bonus away compared to what 27 and up gets. They should have decreased their bonuses and use that pool for 26 and under. We are the ones feeling inflation hitting our pocket books the most. What were they thinking!!!
29, rating 3, RRP $5k, 0% percentage. I'm sad about it.
lol I’m job grade 24, made a 1.5% increase of 36 cents and no bonuses. I would love to have a MEAGER $10k bonus.
@fd wow. What's your base? Rating?
Optum Tech.
GL29
RRP 23K
Merit 1%
RSU 15k
@ev Your RRP % eligible increases w/ higher grade levels, so you typically start to see much higher RRPs the higher up you go.
@ev it's all based on your salary. as they reduce budget for merit we all begin to receive stagnant bonuses and total compensation remains largely the same
SG31 RSU 30k, RRP 30k 0 merit increase.
Damn, I didn't realize that the higher grade levels get thousands and thousands in RPP. Like $15k, $22k, etc. Geezus!
I am GL 26 and got a 3% merit increase and rated a 5. No RPP for GL 26 and below now which we have known about since last summer but even in years previous, I only received $1500 or less in RPP.
SG 28
0% merit
0% RSU
$6k RRP
SG 28 with a 3 rating - 0% merit; $5800 RRP Given the song and dance about how ratings were going to 4/5s but that it came down from on high that it needed to be changed to a 3 overall.....its been a "fun" 4 years. I've already got the line spot lined up.
Hired in 2013, PG24, 0.51% merit raise- 14 cents. No bonus- as expected- due to Optum's new 'No bonuses for PG26 or below.' I made around $53,000/yr in 2022. In 2025, I barely made $50,000. I received a 3 rating, after years of 4's & 5's. Not that they ever gave much for 4's and 5's- but maybe at least a 1 or 2% increase and 300-500 bonus. Make it make sense. I dont even know why Im here anymore. I rather not even get a review- it's a kick in the gut, every f*cking time.
Not going to post specifics but can confirm 72% base funding of RRP, merit is extremely low even for a 5, and that high 4s and 5s can get large RRP with a share of people getting more than last year. Lack of merit increase and decreased 401(k) match is definitely a pay cut against inflation for most sadly.
@d4 you can calculate it if you got RRP. It should say award as a % of funding. When you got hired or promoted they should tell you what % eligible you are. Say you make $100,000 and were 10% eligible. If you got a $5000 bonus and aware as a percent of funding was 100%, your group was 50% funded.
Optum Tech
SG-29 HCOL Area
$20k RRP (85% funded)
$12k RSU
1% Merit
4 Rating
level 29 - rated 3 - no merit and $11k RRP
@a6 how do you know what % RRP was funded? Was there a statement or where can I find that?
Gotta love it. The evil empire still giving money to the hire ups.
@a5 no RRP because im PG26 but got 5/5 and only 1.3% raise
Be prepared all, there will be a few extreme outliers to the high and low end, there will certainly be some folks who do 'make out', and some that get nothing. As usual we may not get any clear picture because of all the 'noise' on this board.
22k RRP, 1%, RSUs
@ac Don't think that's the case
@af In-correct read the policy on Sparq! There are exceptions in the policy with the first bullet exception being if you are part of a RIF where a severance is given, you are eligible for your rrp
$15k, 1% merit increase
@af the date of termination is 2 weeks after the 19th so you continue to be eligible as an employee of record.
@ae It is true - it states right in the Compensation Confirmation Statements, "You must be actively employed (or on leave) as a regular employee on the date the award is paid."
You're right that the award payout date is 02/27, but if you're laid off on 02/19 you're no longer considered an active regular employee.
@ac That is not true and it's also paid out next Friday
I just got a 0% merit raise today (first time getting nothing in 15 years of being employed here, what a joke) and got a $7,000 RFP that was 85% of target.
I'm a Grade 28.
Fun fact - If you get laid off during the next round of layoffs scheduled on 2/19, you don't get your RFP paid out - you just lose it.
Everyone knows merit will su-k post how much your bonus total is
Base level RRP was 72% of target
Yes please post. Also 26s and below post your measley raise amount! I will when I know
