Does Anyone Know if Thursday Will Be Mandatory Office Day for Burlington?

So, they waited until 4:20 AM to send a text to announce the office was closed due to 18 inches of snow, yet last month when we were already working from home due to office renovations, they sent the alert out at 7 pm Sunday night, and that storm was about half the size.

I think most people were out shoveling snow instead of working online, can’t blame them lol. I know I snuck offline for a few hours for that very reason, barely did squat today. That’s a big middle finger to SK. You could literally do nothing, WITHOUT taking a personal day, and nobody could give a flying fadoodle.

With that being said, I’m guessing this stupid three in-office day rule applies this week?

What does first shift do, really?

Why in the world do they come in throwing their weight around, expecting that to change anything? They also have to be the most disorganized group! Hey, we are doing this this way. Then the next day they come in screaming like children who didn’t get their candy saying “I want it this way!” . Make up your mind because no one even thinks you know how you want it! While we are in first shift why in the world do they have supervisors under the en that work a completely different shift? Then write your yearly’s and mid-years? Fortunately, I have a boss that fights for me but some other shifts are not that fortunate! First shift is completely useless other than they are too full of themselves and want to be heard every morning at pass down.
The issue is now coming in yelling and changing your mind no one can take them seriously. For a huge organization it’s not very organized at all! This by the way is why you don’t hire interns out of college and put them in leadership roles, leadership has to be taught or they will fail to lead properly!

Lack of execution

Still waiting on severance documentation.

Management isn’t providing much help
The 1-800 employee number hung up 3 times on me. Finally got a ticket in to figure out where my severance is. Good job outsourcing to India - really paying off

Found out they eliminated my position to give it to another person - is that even legal?

Does Amazon using tracking and other monitoring software to know if you are working in the office or logged on your computer?

Last week I did not go into the office and I worked at home. Does Amazon really know where you are working at? I'm thinking I am going to continue staying at home and work. I made it a habit a long time ago not to talk to any of my coworkers when I was going into the office because I don't trust ant of them.

Am I the only one who feels like India teams are difficult to work with?

I'm a LL6 in a very tech-heavy area of Ford. Often times, I feel like there are cultural issues where India coworkers don't listen to anybody who isn't above them on a pay grade (i.e. a LL6 won't listen unless instructed by a LL5 or higher). They also feel like it's okay to get in your face and try to micromanage you even if they're not your boss, not to mention their accents are very difficult for the average American to understand. I've seen many conflicts between American and Indian colleagues on the same projects, likely stemming from differences in cultural norms on work collaboration.

Anybody else feel this way?

What is cigna’s long term plan? Just keep laying off employees?

I’m really struggling to understand how the DEI leadership is handling these layoffs. Even after all these job cuts, if the stock price still doesn’t reach $400, what’s the backup plan?
It’s disappointing to see a company that was once run so well end up in this situation. It feels like the leadership has put too much trust in a small inner circle led by DP Koka and his Indian friends, and now those same executives are driving these large-scale layoffs. Meanwhile, they’ll likely walk away with generous payouts, but what about the hardworking employees who are losing their jobs? They didn’t deserve this.
It’s frustrating to watch the company go through this, especially when employees are the ones bearing the brunt of these decisions that don’t give any meaningful results in the long run.
It’s hard to believe the CEO isn’t recognizing what’s happening. It makes me wonder whether he’s disengaged or possibly thinking about stepping away, because the current direction doesn’t seem reassuring.
If DP were to become CEO, I’d honestly be concerned about the company’s future. From my perspective, his leadership style hasn’t inspired much confidence, and I worry about what strategic decisions might follow. Overall, it just feels like the company needs stronger, more transparent leadership right now.
