Where’s Stephanie?

No show at the sales kickoff, sorry commercial summit in Orlando. Nasser Khodri doing all the talking. Stephanie relegated to a 2 minute video measage at the end of the keynote session. Apparently she really wanted to be here but it wasn’t possible because she has to do the earnings call tomorrow. I guess the FIS private jet must be out of service, along with all motorised transport between here and Jacksonville…

Advice for Dan after watching him at Davos

Dan, respectfully, you represent all of us and I was a little embarrassed by your appearance on the HBR panel at Davos. For next time, here are 3 pieces of advice:
1.) Shave.
2.) Sit up. Don't slouch. Posture's a huge non-verbal.
3.) If wearing a black top, thoroughly brush it off before go-live.
What was on display did not seem to represent the focus and determination of Verizon employees to restore this company to greatness. Thanks.

In hiding??

So where is Steve B? He has been off-grid, off communication and leadership for so long is he (a) in hiding from his shameful decisions (b) really can’t be bothered or (c) unwell (hope not this option despite everything) ….. videos done by LP and JEG recently but no Stsvs B .,,, whatever the reason shouldn’t there be some CEO presence at. Time like this?

Dinner with Larry, Zooms with Larry, but no, Larry's definitely not involved in the company's decision making!!

Ah yes, I remember all those times Bob Bakish had his father come to business dinners to talk about mergers, or had him hop on Zoom calls with advisors. It's totally a normal thing for CEOs to have their daddies help them with their jobs.

From THR (link below):

“If we have the privilege to work together you will see that my father and I are the people you had dinner with,” Ellison wrote. “We are always loyal and honorable to our partners and hope we have the opportunity to prove that to you. Best, David”.

Increased Tracking - Tech

In tech. Recently there has increased visibility from leadership into our metrics/projects/etc. Our Jira boards and backlogs are regularly monitored and critiqued, and we've been told they are going to be averaging story point completion per person. Now they're asking us to track the specific skills we are using when completing each task. Is this happening anywhere else? Feels like a bad sign
