I have been with the company for 3 years and was forced into a role I didn’t want after only a year. Then I finally interviewed and moved to a new area in April only to get canned yesterday. What a waste of 3 years.

More than 50 people have already been let go
And more layoffs are expected in the coming weeks. If anyone has updates or reliable information, please share.
Did you get a wriiten notification?
Either via email or snail mail, confirming that you've been laid off? Or was the verbal notification during the 1 on 1 the only one you got so far?
Layoffs imminent
More layoffs coming to hire young talent
is this normal??
I have been told that the firm will not be sharing any information regarding the # of layoffs, demotions, etc. And neither will divisions. In other words, no one will truly know the full scope of the impact. Is that typical? It angers me that we aren't being told the impact of these changes.
and while we're on this subject..anyone know how many jobs were 'shipped' to India in the past few years?
Has the majority been notified?
Is it safe to assume that the majority was notified today and tomorrow will not be nearly as bad? Or am I just deluding myself?
Tears for what was —-hope for those of you part of the reimagined future
I’m turning over many decades of sweat equity to those of you who will take this firm into the future. I trust you - my friends, colleagues and those I’ve been blessed to lead during my career I trust you to do your best to lead as you were once led… to maintain a sincere focus on client branch and associate centricity. I have a heavy heart today - and have for months You have been handed a cr-p storm to survive and thrive through- And I thank you in advance for all you have and will continue to dedicate to the firm. My LP earnings thank you too. I accepted VSP and will be here for a few months. Whatever the firm expects of me - I know my primary focus will be on being present for my friends and peers. I’m a senior level leader today, however my current role doesn’t exist in the reimagined Jones. I have given so much to the firm - and it’s given so much to me It’s time for me to move on but it still feels surreal I had anticipated retiring from here in the years to come But I now get to reimagine my future - as PP would say “I exercised my agency” to say I’m ‘done’ (along with a few other four letter words) I’d rather get to reimagine my future for myself than continue to be subject to the Russian roulette career development that I have experienced the past several years
My heart and prayers are with all of you tonight I know we are all hurting And yes my prayers are with PP too - no matter how I feel about what’s occurring , she is human too.
In case anyone else needs this tonight —— I am listening to music and the new Mercy Me song just came on “Trust the One” Helped lighten my heart a little. Regardless of your faith - if you listen to the song and think of your personal higher power , maybe it will help this evening
Standing in the midst of tears, grief , fear, sadness for others and a glimmer of hope that more is to come for us all - those of us moving on and those of you left to do the heavy lifting. Life is bigger than EJ Prayers for all of us
Tuesday
First, sorry to those affected on Monday. For those of us that didn’t receive a 1:1 or an email yet, well, just one more day: Tuesday. Good luck.
The safe email
Have any HO areas received this yet?
Does Oracle pay for your unused vacations
Oracle has unlimited vacation policy on manager discretion. But I noticed managers ensure employee doesn’t take vacations often beyond 2-3 weeks per year. So what happens to those unused vacations on your layoff? Is it wise to take vacations before expected announcements?
Got H1B peer who is not laidoff ? Know your rights
This mainly applies to tech and lower management roles. If you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and an H-1B colleague in the same role wasn't laid off, you may be eligible for additional severance or have grounds for legal action due to policy violations.
All you need is your manager's / second line's hierarchical Organization chart screenshot. You can also have some proofs of screenshots from git repositories to prove you have checked in code as same level as the H-1b candidate or performed similar activity as H-1b candidate if management. Ensure you are not laidoff due to your performance ratings.
dbs layoffs
hit friday, we're told its over, but i have my doubts.
Is Sept 2 is end of firing spree
I saw couple of posts on September 2.
Layoffs next week?
Is it really happening? Honestly, I hope so. I’m ready to be done with this chapter of my career. That said, I feel for the people who really need their jobs right now. Wishing good luck to all of us.
Any new info about next week?
Rumors are flying, but as usual, we know nothing for sure.
Music Monday
Since meetings have all been cancelled Monday, and my kids will be in school, I’m going to blast some music and try to stay positive while refreshing / sync my email awaiting an invite/email, and watching for a Teams IM. Maybe I’ll update my play list. Any good theme songs to listen to? I was thinking Hallelujah and Another One Bites the Dust. Perhaps Freedom?! Sigh. In reality this really stinks. I wanted to work here. I did my best. If I am shown the door then you bet I’m gonna hustle…to find a job quickly and help my colleagues impacted find roles too. Bring on the music!
Sept 2
I have heard this date mentioned, are there layoffs on that date ?
Another news headline….
https://the-express.com/lifestyle/shopping/181195/target-fires-hundreds-employees-money-181195
Let go
I was let go this week. How long I have to sign the severance agreement?
Avaya loyalty is gone and it shows
I got cut during the last round even while hitting all my targets. Management has little say in anything and no one seems to care about employee stability. If you think your job is untouchable, think again. There are plenty of companies out there with leaders who actually guide and respect their staff. It is frustrating to see how much this place has changed.
Question
Are laid-off folks offered a chance to land another role within Oracle in a set time frame? When I was laid off from my previous company last year, I had 60 days to apply for internal openings (spoiler: I didn’t get anything). I’m wondering if Oracle has a similar process or not.

# Suddenness and Secrecy of Layoffs
Posters emphasized how the June 24, 2025 layoffs were quiet, poorly communicated, and unsettling for employees left behind.
- "ADP has started heavy layoffs on June 24, 2025. They have been quiet about this to the point where internal sellers who will be impacted are unaware." ( Anonymous, Jun 26, 2025 )
- "Why is it always such a quiet layoff? There’s never an official email or anything. I’m still on edge because I don’t know if it’s over." ( Anonymous, Jun 27, 2025 )
- "Anyone know if further layoffs are coming?" ( Anonymous, Jun 26, 2025 )
- "Lost 10 coworkers on our product on the 24th. Second year in a row that there's a big chop." ( Anonymous, Jun 26, 2025 )
- "It seems something cooking for next week or month, I heard from multiple folks." ( Ano, Jul 27, 2025 )
- "How are you so sure it was a 'very very small reduction'? Did they email you a running tally of all layoffs company wide?" ( Anonymous, Jun 27, 2025 )
- "Continuously firing levels below VP, independent contributors, etc. to pinch pennies isn’t going to last forever." ( Anonymous, Jun 26, 2025 )
# Offshore Outsourcing and Job Cuts
Many pointed to outsourcing and offshoring as a driving force behind layoffs, often linking it to declining quality and cost-cutting.
- "Hard working people losing their jobs to less qualified, cheaper labor abroad." ( Anonymous, Jul 4, 2025 )
- "Yes, they are sending as much offshore as possible." ( Anonymous, Jun 27, 2025 )
- "Curious to know if they are outsourcing the roles, hiring more offshore folks?" ( Anonymous, Jun 26, 2025 )
- "When I was at ADP, these offshore associates could do no wrong in ADP Management's eyes... I supervised many of those offshore associates and estimate that they failed to deliver quality work about 80 to 90 percent of the time." ( Anonymous, Jul 2, 2025 )
- "Who else who have dealt with offshore associates are familiar with 'cab delays'? I know they accounted for HOURS a week- we were lucky if we got a 30 hour work week out of them." ( Anonymous, Jul 2, 2025 )
- "Our American associates were expected to work 50, 60, 70 hours a week or more. Of course, those overtime hours were uncompensated." ( Anonymous, Jul 2, 2025 )
- "Off shore folks that actually are enthusiastically putting in a 40 hour work week in the office. Winning!" ( Anonymous, Jun 30, 2025 )
# Employee Frustration and Difficulty of Leaving
Many described being stuck at ADP, unable to easily find new work or fearful of more cuts.
- "Difficult to leave when it's hard to get another job, even for a quality employee." ( Anonymous, Jul 25, 2025 )
- "If you have no skills beyond what ADP has taught you, where are you supposed to go?" ( Anonymous, Jun 29, 2025 )
- "Wow! I didn't know that ADP over bloated their staffing. From my experience, we were constantly understaffed and under pressure all the time." ( Anonymous, Jun 30, 2025 )
- "Knowledge is indeed power. During my tenure at ADP, I noticed that management liked to keep everyone scared, thinking that scared employees are productive employees." ( Anonymous, Jun 27, 2025 )
- "Not comical but sad, most everyone bashes ADP yet doesn’t leave. Isn’t that odd?" ( Anonymous, Jul 25, 2025 )
- "If employees were satisfied and relaxed then they would not be under any pressure to perform. So harum scarum stuff was always going on, from rumors about layoffs, office moves, and other disruptive situations." ( Anonymous, Jun 27, 2025 )
# Culture of Fear and Distrust
Some noted a toxic environment where management kept employees insecure to push performance.
- "Keep those of you still standing d-mb and scared. Which is of course such last century thinking. Maria is terrible... She's just doing this as insurance policy on her bonus." ( goskiprope, Jun 27, 2025 )
- "Even printouts that were 'accidentally' left on the printer which caused consternation to people that would find them... Disgusting but part of ADP life." ( Anonymous, Jun 27, 2025 )
- "ADP loved to save money on labor costs by overworking their employees." ( Anonymous, Jun 30, 2025 )
# Divisive Attitudes Toward Laid-Off Workers
Posters were divided between sympathy for workers and mockery, with insults and dismissals surfacing often.

- "Competent people can find work anywhere. Wow, just wow." ( Anonymous, Jul 23, 2025 )
- "They are losers when they can't perform. Just the facts." ( Anonymous, Jul 3, 2025 )
- "Lol! Love the 'competition abroad'! The only way they can compete is by receiving substandard wages. In every other way they are losers." ( Anonymous, Jul 3, 2025 )
- "Seems you’re jealous of the competition abroad. Us VERPS accepted you clowns, why can’t you accept them?" ( Anonymous, Jul 3, 2025 )
# Accusations of Shilling and Defensiveness
Several users accused others of being ADP defenders or “shills,” especially when layoffs were minimized or praised.
- "The only ridicule and insults that I see are from people that don't want anything bad said about ADP. Ridicule and insults = ADP shills." ( Anonymous, Jul 4, 2025 )
- "You are an ADP shill who won't tolerate anything bad said about this company. Well, a lot of us have stories to tell of our experiences and we can't be stopped by insults and ridicule." ( Anonymous, Jul 4, 2025 )
- "People will post anything they want about ADP here. No one here can stop them or do anything about that except complain." ( Anonymous, Jul 4, 2025 )
- "Please tell folks to only communicate layoffs and refrain from the company bashing. Warm regards." ( Anonymous, Jul 4, 2025 )
# Leadership and Executive Compensation
Anger was directed at executives, particularly CEO Maria Black, for receiving millions while employees faced cuts.
- "But it helped make Maria MILLIONS and a pension and a private plane… but congrats- you got early retirement. Cha Ching." ( Anonymous, Jul 2, 2025 )

# Personal Experiences and Reflections
Some shared their history at ADP, including voluntary retirement or long-term frustrations.
- "I VERPed in 2018 ( wow, has it been that long? )... The biggest reason... ADP did massive layoffs during the last week of June, during which my birthday fell. Happy friggin' birthday. Now we're gonna throw a percentage of your friends and colleagues into the dumpster. Maybe you. Good riddance, ADP." ( Anonymous, Jul 2, 2025 )
- "It’s great you were able to take early retirement- honestly, congratulations... But the people who helped you are losing their jobs and being forced to train the cheaper labor abroad." ( Anonymous, Jul 2, 2025 )
- "Writing as VERP who was planning on leaving that year anyways due to financial ability I feel that Maria and Carlos before her is doing a WONDERFUL job. Stock over $300. Too many help-rejecting complainers on here. Sincerely, Cha-Ching." ( Anonymous, Jun 28, 2025 )
# Uncommon Opinions and Perspectives
A minority defended ADP or minimized the layoffs, often in sharp contrast to the majority sentiment.

Layoffs in Arizona Office
# Suddenness and Lack of Warning
Employees consistently described being blindsided without advance notice. Many emphasized the cold, impersonal manner of execution.
- "After 11 years working for Kemper I was fired via a phone call from HR. No warning, nothing. Just they are reducing the work force." ( Anonymous, Nov 4, 2022 )
- "I was at Kemper/Infinity for 15 years. I was laid off while on PTO. The place is a joke, good riddance." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "800 people let go today. Zero compassion from leadership. Heard it was a pre recorded message shown to those affected." ( Anonymous, Oct 26, 2022 )

- "Security was escorting out 2 to 3 employees yesterday at the Cerritos office." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "The Chatsworth office was also affected, about 4 adjusters without warning. Did anyone get offered a severance package?" ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "SIU department also hit. Mike Hull and other managers and representatives. Shocking as our department was busy. Brought into a teams meeting with a generated message that we were laid off." ( Anonymous, Oct 26, 2022 )
# Pre-Recorded Announcements and Gaslighting
A recurring theme was the impersonal, robotic approach to announcing layoffs. Employees felt the company tried to deny this, further fueling anger.
- "I had the joy of the pre-recorded message today. That was so strange. They sounded like robots with zero compassion." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Fact they are more concerned that ppl are saying it was a pre recorded statement then what they did to the employees speaks volumes. Takes gaslighting to a whole different level." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "The audacity of them to be more concerned that ppl are saying it was a pre recorded message then how they blind sided their employees speaks volumes. Puts gaslighting to a whole new level." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Scared to go to the town Hall tomorrow. Dont want a prerecorded message saying we are fired." ( Oh, Oct 26, 2022 )
- "This company is by far the worse. I lost 3 people on my team. They did a pre-recorded message with no sympathy at all." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
# WARN Act and Legal Action
Many posts highlighted potential WARN Act violations, encouraging others to seek legal advice and join lawsuits.
- "Fellow Kemper employees, if you were terminated as part of the 10/26/2022 Reduction In Force at Kemper, please contact The Bloom Lawfirm @ 818-914-7397 to join a class action lawsuit for Kempers violation of the Federal WARN Act." ( Former Kemper L&D Member, Nov 23, 2022 )
- "I consulted an attorney and we have a case. Kemper violated the WARN act. Seek legal advise and don’t sign the severance release until you speak to an attorney." ( Anonymous, Nov 14, 2022 )
- "Check it out. Seems all let go in CA may have a case under WARN ACT. Yikes. They must’ve let all of HR go seeing that it seemly wasn’t looked into." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "After reviewing this case and the number of people laid off without warning, this places Kemper in breach of the WARNS ACT. Go gete'm!!! Know your rights." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Go to https://edd.ca.gov/en/Jobs_and_Training/Layoff_Services_WARN. Help is available if you feel your rights have been violated." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
# Leadership Criticism and Executive Compensation
A strong theme is anger toward leadership’s behavior and pay levels, contrasted against employee treatment.
- "Poorly handled lay off. And you have Duane Sanders who makes millions. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself." ( Anonymous, Oct 28, 2022 )
- "Joseph Lacher made $8,222,255 in total compensation as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President at Kemper Corp in 2021." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )

- "Melissa Hill, a very talented leader, was making positive change but the good ole boy club has to get rid of the one executive female left. All remaining claims leadership is all MEN now. Are we in 2022 or 1960???" ( Anonymous, Oct 28, 2022 )
- "Duane Sanders in the townhall meeting literally just ended the meeting with 'Halt the Rumors'." ( Insurance, Oct 27, 2022 )
# Reputation and Toxic Work Culture
The layoffs amplified longstanding complaints about Kemper’s reputation, culture, and operations.
- "The reputation at Kemper has been awful for years. Few experience adjusters will even work at that company and Temps ( Contractors ) often decline placement there." ( Anonymous, Oct 28, 2022 )
- "Learning and Development ( L&D ), did their absolute best to train new hires through Kemper's revolving door. On Oct. 26th, all but 6-7 Trainers were laid off; including 4 Instructional Designers." ( Anonymous, Oct 28, 2022 )
- "Sadly, as a prior manager, I can confirm that this is not a place you want to work at if you value your sanity as I was regularly verbally abused by management." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "I used to work for Infinity/Kemper. Thankfully I jumped that ship while I could and work for a better insurance company." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Get out while you can. Nothing out of their mouth can be trusted. Can't wait to see what BS they will spin out I'm the town hall." ( Anonymous, Oct 26, 2022 )
# Severance and Treatment of Employees
Anger was also directed at the meager severance packages and perceived disrespect.
- "My wife was let go. She worked there for 1 year and her severance was 1 week. That is disgusting." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Thankful for the 2 weeks of pay and severance, still mind blowing." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "I don’t know how many were laid off in Dallas, but it was a lot. At least 5 managers in my unit ( including me ) and several adjusters. The meeting didn't come across pre-recorded to me, but after hearing I was being laid off everything became a blur after that." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "People have given 20 plus years to this company and this is how they were treated." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
# Industry Context and Aftermath
Some users pointed out Kemper’s financial troubles, industry perception, and job opportunities elsewhere.
- "Poorly Managed https://www.reinsurancene.ws/am-best-downgrades-kemper-on-earnings-deterioration/" ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "National General is hiring 250 claims rep, also hiring many field auto reps across the US." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Loya Insurance is hiring in San Antonio, El Paso and McAllen, Texas!! Not remote positions!! Submit your resumes!!!" ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Good roddanc3 I hope they get every legal action against them. And then the separation papers are a joke too." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
# Uncommon Opinions and Perspectives
Amid the broader consensus, a few remarks stood out for their uniqueness.
- "Please don’t name names when writing, this is an anon forum - personal info is not allowed." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Blackout period, but I need to sell my stocks ASAP! I wonder if the Blackout applies to persons no longer with the company." ( Anonymous, Oct 27, 2022 )
- "Per Linkden MH was actually a Senior Vice President reporting directly into the President. She doesnt seem to have a good track record staying at companies." ( TheReal, Nov 13, 2022 )
- "Senior management in theft and fire were let go." ( Pip, Oct 26, 2022 )

Recent laid off employee here.
Got the axe this Tuesday
Laid off based out of Charlotte. Been here for 14 years. I am non working till October 2025. Haven’t signed the severance yet as my mental health tanked after the news. How much my severance will be? Any other advice on how to deal with severance and other pointers regarding layoffs will be helpful.
Who’s looking for an ISP?
Is there anyone who is hoping they get an ISP Monday? I don’t know how much longer I can handle this clown show.
Replaced by temps
About two weeks after I got the axe, I started receiving emails from temp agencies for my exact job, only at $6/hr less.
Laid off, having no regrets
I was laid off, and I don’t have regrets. I’d been bracing for this, the anxiety had been building for a while, so in some ways, it feels like a relief. I’m also grateful it gave me the push I needed to start looking elsewhere. I stayed at Oracle too long, became complacent, and lost sight of other possibilities. Staying in one place for too long isn’t great for self-confidence or professional growth, especially with how companies have been operating over the past decade. The job market is tough, but here’s hoping I prove I’m tougher.
Good luck to the rest of you, and don’t let yourself fall under the psychological pressure the corporate environment, and especially layoffs, can create. There are always other options, and other opportunities to prove to yourself that you’re good at what you do.
Sorry to you all
I don’t work there, but I’ve watched what this place has done to my sister. She’s given them everything—early mornings, late nights, weekends, endless events. And she’s not the only one. So many of you have sacrificed your time, your health, even your families, because you believed in being loyal and dedicated.
But what does this company give back? Not gratitude, not respect, not recognition. Instead, after draining people dry, they toss you out like you were nothing. It’s not a “thank you” for years of service—it’s a cold shove out the door.
We used to joke it was like a cult. Turns out we were right. A cult takes your energy, your devotion, your soul—and when you’re no longer useful, it discards you. That’s exactly what’s happening here.
To everyone getting laid off: you deserved better than this. And no matter what they try to make you believe, the failure is theirs—not yours.
Layoffs Mid Sept???
Was informed there would be another huge round of layoffs in mid Sept. Is this in Tech?
Can someone explain WARN act timing?
The Mercury News reported two WARN act filings by Oracle - disclosed on August 13, filed again on August 14.
"Oracle America is cutting 101 positions in Santa Clara, the company revealed in a WARN notice filed with the EDD on Aug. 14. These staffing reductions come on the heels of a disclosure by Oracle on Aug. 13 that it had decided to cut 188 jobs, consisting of a loss of 143 positions in Redwood City and 45 in Pleasanton."
Does this mean that the disclosure layoffs (Aug 13) already happened but the filed (Aug 14) layoffs have up to 60 days to execute?
Same story different month/year.
Hi! I worked for Oracle years ago was laid off, seen all of this before. Been there done that.
Oracle does mass culls and purges very regularly, sometimes more frequently or aggressive than others, but it's the way they have always run the business. They also tend to cut aggressively when they do cut.
As for how to deal with it. If you've just been laid off, don't look back. Let go. It's gone. Focus on you and the future and think very broadly about what your skills are. Oracle likely had you fixated on some small things which really narrows your perspective over time. Don't think about going back unless you become desperate for money and just use it as an interim step. Never try to make sense of what they are doing, why they are doing or what just happened to you. You will go crazy.
For the people who are there, unless you're VERY senior, look outside the company. There are a lot of interesting things going on, and certainly better paid.
I was laid off years ago. I didn't want to go. I was "happy" but a better word was complacent bordering on lazy. In reality I was being underpaid, not appreciated and wasn't enjoying it. It's now worked out a LOT better for me, but make no mistake, it was unnerving, uncomfortable and unsettling at the time. I look back and wish I'd left years earlier. Other people had this same advice but I couldn't bring myself to leave.
Oracle treat employees like abused animals because they can. They know there is no shortage. Their business model allows them to do this financially and the law allows them to. The only way not to be exploited is not to play their game.
Good luck. I hope you all make it through this mentally unscathed or traumatised.
Laid Off This AM CTO
What a great day. I received the call this AM. I heard in my managers voice uncertainty about their own future. What a mess, they have a whole heck of a lot of stuff they need to unwind to get themselves off the firing line. For those who did not want to speak up for me that is OK, I forgive you. I do not feel bad for standing up for myself when I did. Nobody slots me into incorrect alignments and gets away with it. At this point, I appreciate the paid 60 days PTO and severance. I am going to use this as an opportunity to reset my mental health and find a better position for the remainder of my career. Feel free to position these changes as (right-sizing all you want). I have watched for years as you've hired your friends and diversity hires. Thank God those days are over for me. I should have never put up with it in the first place, but with COVID and forced RTO the market contracted making a move a little more elusive than I had hoped. Again! Thank you all very much. This is a weight off my shoulders.
Recent layoffs

Tech giant lays off 143 workers from former Bay Area headquarters
https://www.sfgate.com/tech/article/oracle-tech-giant-layoffs-headquarters-20819830.php
The tech company announced the cuts on Wednesday in WARN documents, as is generally required in the event of mass layoffs. One lists 45 layoffs at the company’s Pleaston campus; the other lists 143 at its former headquarters in Redwood City.
Software developers — at various levels of seniority — are being hit hard, according to the WARN notices. Within the category, six vice presidents are losing their jobs in Redwood City, plus 25 director- and manager-level employees and more than 60 lower-level developers.
The documents say that workers were notified on or before Wednesday and will officially leave the roles in mid-October. The WARN Act requires employers to give workers 60 days notice before a layoff, but tech companies tend to just end their laid-off workers’ jobs immediately and give them 60 days of pay.
Oracle did not immediately respond to SFGATE’s questions about the reason for the cuts and what severance pay these workers might receive. But Bloomberg reported Wednesday that the company was cutting staff from its massive cloud computing unit, including more than 150 workers in Seattle, so it’s likely that the Bay Area cuts were also from that group.
The company is based in Austin but, according to a 2024 statement from co-founder Larry Ellison, it will be moving its headquarters again, to Nashville. Official filings still say Austin.
