Which unions have you reached out to?

The board is getting harder to use due to what looks like coordinated astroturfing—which may be the whole point. So, I’ve pivoted to calling union reps and coworkers directly, since I'm not based near a major office. The reception has been remarkably positive. People are bringing up the Teamsters, UAW, and others. If you're exploring this route, start at the AFL-CIO site (https://aflcio.org/formaunion); it’ll point you toward local chapters.

Employee Forum June 2026

So, did anyone else leave the employee forum this morning feeling utterly transformed? Because clearly management thinks a few PowerPoint slides and some forced enthusiasm are all it takes to convince us this “transformation” is the best thing since sliced bread. At least they finally admitted the culture is circling the drain—growth, I guess.

And that shiny new building they want to plop down in Scona? A pocket‑sized QP with all the fancy amenities. Because nothing says “we value you” like spending a fortune on a building instead of, you know… fixing the actual problems. Can’t wait to see what astronomical number they pull out of the hat this time.

Do the view counters here get reset or rollover?

It seems some posts show around 9000 views then the next day or so show a much smaller number. Merely curious, there at so many views right now as the date of the next purported layoffs (Tuesday) loom.

Many have been generous with inside information, if you can share, please do.

Anyone else having trouble on this forum now

This forum won’t let me reply on my own post I keep getting this and it’s been over an hour:

“You have recently submitted a post. In order to prevent spamming, posting is limited to one post per minute. Please submit again in a short while.”

Too political

This site has become nothing what it was intended to be. Stop with the politics and your “ever so important” and “only you are right” views. It’s a board about employment and layoffs. Can we focus and stop being so childish please? Anyone?? What have you heard? Who should be concerned about their jobs etc…? That is what this is here for people. You’re filling it up with nonsense trying to cause political debates that will never be solved here. It’s not an outlet for your frustrations. Let’s be grown up professionals.

Open Thread for June 1st RTO:

Here we go! Day one of ELT's move to get more of us to quit. Post your concerns, complaints, funny stories, frustrations, etc in this thread so we can keep the comment section active for our neighborhood ELT trolls who love to lurk here (they are useless anyway, so might as well give them something to do today). Good luck everyone, and enjoy the collaboration this week! 🤡

PS. r/st louis (edward jones) has a post from a few days ago that links this site if reddit is more your scene.

We need to start ignoring bad actors here

This site was once a community and source of knowledge. It’s in a tailspin of conspiracy theories.

  • When someone makes a reference to an exec from 3 years ago, and is no longer here. Ignore them.

  • When someone makes an outrageous claim like “30% of us will be laid off” - do the math. That would be the largest layoff in USAA history times 3. That’d be nearly 11,000 employees to be laid off this year. They have no details. No sources. Just vague fear and round numbers. Ignore them.

  • When someone is posting about a single person every week. Ignore them. That’s an unhinged person.

  • We need to collectively stfu about RTO. There’s quite literally nothing we can do about it. The company has moved on. Society has moved on. Every other company has moved on.

Purpose of This Site - Gone Off the Rails

This site should be one that provides information for those who have been affected by a layoff. It has devolved into name calling, bashing the company, and just saying mean things about current employees. Seriously, if you just want to say mean stuff, go post on Twitter.

There are repeater posters on here that are doing nothing but trying to scare people that all is lost. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

The number of views is impressive, over 17500 for one post alone

Many of the posts have views in the 3000 plus range today alone. It seems that people are sharing this site. There is power in sharing accurate information. There is another call tomorrow. Would someone attending please post about it? Be kind to yourselves, you deserve it.

Intel is BACK

Just listened to the CISO’s open forum held this week. Says that Intel is now back. This is good news all our problems are in the rearview mirrors.

TheLayoff removed the search window?

You’re not imagining it — TheLayoff.com quietly removed the site‑wide search bar, and the individual company pages (like AT&T’s) no longer include their own search box either. But you still have reliable ways to search within the AT&T section.

## 🔍 The fastest method: Use Google’s “site:” search
This works even though the site removed its own search.

In Google, type:

site:thelayoff.com/at-and-t your keywords here

Examples:

  • site:thelayoff.com/at-and-t surplus
  • site:thelayoff.com/at-and-t RTO
  • site:thelayoff.com/at-and-t bonus
  • site:thelayoff.com/at-and-t layoffs 2026

This restricts results only to the AT&T page and its subthreads, not the rest of the site.

## 🔎 Option 2: Use TheLayoff’s hidden “Search” page
They removed the search bar, but the search endpoint still exists:

https://www.thelayoff.com/search.php

Once there, enter your keyword, then filter manually by looking for results under /at-and-t.

This is less precise than Google but still works.

This Board

Things I’ve learned in 3 years of reading this board and working at WF

1) The CEOs real name is Schart
2) Every Tuesday after a paycheck is going to be a bloodbath
3) The lady that works in the cafeteria can really annoy someone
4) Sol gets free stuff and announces it every Friday in an Email
5) TK doesn’t know the difference between Netscape and Netflix.
6) Sommerseve and the rest of the WIM execs are moving to Palm Beach and that annoys most people.
7) Mr Flowers smells like #6’s name
8) Some leader on Long Island is a nepo baby hire and is bad at their job
9) SuMo is a person in risk that is not nice but no one knows who the heck they are talking about
10) Everyone who posts on this board knows an Exec who told them something or overheard a conversation from a c suite person had
11) RTO is not fair. It’s just not fair

Reconciling WARN notice with GM/GD layoff

WARN notice said 54 laid off in Baltimore alone. However, posts on this forum comment on ~59 laid off altogether from the Global Marketing and Distribution Enablement layoffs globally. Does that mean over 90% of cuts were in Baltimore alone?

Why don’t they layoff staff in EMEA and APAC? It seems unfair.

Panel Discussion

I am appalled by the level of the discussions in this forum. We need a panel discussion to raise the intellectual level of the discussions in this forum!

OT Reddit?

Why are all the Reddit posts on the r/Waterloo page? We need our own page. Would have been eye opening to read through prior to signing my contract. But now I get to sleuth this website and random others for any insights. Huge loss and su-ks for anyone considering this place to not have a consolidated resource to read through
