Thread regarding T. Rowe Price Group Inc. layoffs

I am in the same boat. My mental health has been in the toilet. My team is just apathetic and NOT helpful. Stocks just finished on Friday highest than ever, but just my luck I work at this dump with sinking stock price and never ending outflows. Most of what I am working on today is to be "phased out" so it feels useless. Nothing I do matters or is valued by anyone. I tried to operate in a bubble in this pathetic s***hole and just "do the best I can", but it is becoming impossible. This freezing weather has not been helpful. I hope that when better weather returns, my mood will improve somewhat, but its doubtful. There are few jobs out there, and most are fake posting as they would rather bring in someone from overseas or farm the work there. I remember the old Johnny Paycheck song "Take This Job and Shove It". I think of how hard I worked in school, my whole life, and "this" is where I ended up. Depressing for sure.

@cy Not sure what marketing team you have, ours is very slim they’ve laid people off others have quit and I’m doing the role of 2 marketer and junior sales at the moment. Wish I was in your marketing team.

Same. My group is so understaffed that I work nights and weekends more often than not and I am so burnt out. Meanwhile our sales and marketing teams go on long lunches and just talk in the hallways all day because they have nothing to do. And they get paid top dollar and huge bonuses even though we are bleeding money. It’s crazy seeing how the company wastes so much money in some places and not nearly enough in others.
