Year end compensation exercise

Hello,

I joined the bank in July. On the HR website, it says that “new hires are eligible for a base salary adjustment if hired before September 30.”

At the same time, it seems like I will automatically receive a “Too New to Rate” rating.

Will I still be eligible for a base salary adjustment?

Price increase!

As if 2025 hasn’t been hard enough for CSG sales, now comes yet another price increase. This increase is on top of all the other increases we have had to manage.

For reps who have sold deals at a high GP, this is yet another reminder that the company doesn’t want to pay you. Paying reps 2% overrides is the driving force here because they know deep down customers will not pay the increase. They will simply go to another vendor.

It’s time to fight back and sit down. As much as it will hurt all of us, I suggest that we sit back in October and sell nothing. Sandbag all your deals in an effort to let the powers that be that they can not just increase our pricing model. Our compensation and the way we make a living is predicated by the price of the box we sell. Write me up, threaten to fire me, do whatever you want. The bigger concern should be the amount of people that will leave come January 1st. Making $50k with little to know upside is not a real job folks. This company is pushing you out and you don’t see it.

Now $25/Hour Min - Tenure Employees Continued Getting Scr*wed

For tenure employees such as myself, I did not get $20000 raise collectively since 2017. As of right now, my pay is a little over a dollar more than minimum. Yes, I am bitter and BOA can careless. After reading the Employee Communications, BOA only cares about new hires as they begin their "meaningful journey". What about existing employees with 25+ years at BOA, what is the "meaningful journey" for them? The pasture? It sure looks that way. I know that there are many B6's such as myself in the same situation. How do you cope with the news? I am at the point of retirement with no notice.

PSG jump?

So just out of curiosity, if one jumps a PSG will that take into effect in May? Or are you looking at another three years as your current PSG?

And if one jumps from a 20 to a 21 what is used to determine the pay increase?

My apologies I’m still green

Life is SO much better post Fido...

I worked my a-s off for this company for ten years and barely broke 65k. With news of the NM layoffs, I decided to look elsewhere and found loads of companies hiring. I immediately found employment making over 70k starting. It just su-ks to think back on how dedicated I was to this place and was given such a low ball offer to mine to Covington. Up yours Crystal! Life is so much better outside of the bullsh-t corporate green Fidelity umbrella!

Change to RRP?

On Sparq, it looks like the Incentive Program page was updated mid/late August & now there's no mention of merit, only RRP. The downloadable PDF is also new, talks about base salary, incentive opportunities & benefits--and having to exceed established goals. Nothing official has been communicated in team calls, although maybe it was in the latest town halls?

Google terminates 200 AI contractors

Google has laid off over 200 contractors who worked on improving its AI product offerings, Gemini, and search AI overviews, according to Wired. Some were told it was part of a "ramp-down" on the project they were working on, but others believe it was due to complaints made over pay and working conditions. These laid-off contractors join hundreds of other AI-related contractors who have been fired from other major AI firms like xAI and Meta in recent months.

ESPP

I heard that this is being cut in terms of the discounted rate. Is going to be 5% with some other shenanigans… also heard that PTO can’t be carried over going into 2026… anyone heard the same?

Reality

If you take the base salary you make in field sales, no bonus, and divide it by the hours you work, you’d make more flipping burgers and be treated better! Figure it out! The bonuses were great and with a little work they were easy to earn! We’ve pi---d off ever account with our poor service so incremental displays are a joke. Any connection to the customer is impossible with mission 1, way too much ground to cover!
Now ask yourself, is it worth it? No way!!! Same pay for less aggravation? No brainer!

Best people will be impacted once again

I'd like to think this will be performance-base, but we all know that's never been true. They'll get rid of the highest earners who are usually the highest performers as well, crippling the company once again. Layoffs would be easier to swallow if they ever made sense.

COMMSCOPE playbook

Yeah, CommScope’s shuffling Temps to MNOP roles and dumping MNOPs into floater limbo reeks of a cheap purge to slash higher wages before Amphenol swoops in at $16/hr entry pay. It’s the same playbook as shipping IT jobs to India—sc--wing loyal US workers for offshore savings and fat exec bonuses.

More layoff in the near future!

Oracle's high debt ratio indicates that the company is unlikely to take on additional debt to fund its AI infrastructure plan, especially if it aims to maintain a high stock value. The latest round of layoffs is expected in the near furure, potentially affecting around 15,000 employees from their workforce.

It's worth noting that Broadcom has taken similar actture in 2024; they have no obligations to their employees. This situation seems to be just the beginning. Why would anyone want to work for a company that doesn’t provide raises? It’s better to upskill, stop complaining, and move on! This may just be the start of a larger trend.

No BFIJ Contest Winnings Yet?

There was a huge push for sales performance across the company over the Black Friday in July 2025 sale and NO ONE who performed well over that weekend has been paid their sales contest winnings! Since July!!! I fear Wayfair’s plan is to fire many of us before they need to make those payouts. Our hourly workers make well below the poverty level in terms of pay. Many make such low pay their families have to seek state food aid and Medicaid to care for their children. We work hard for those contest winnings to offer our families something special outside of a super tight household budget. Just a really sad insult to hard working people.

Health Insurance unusable deductible

For lower pay Mattel employees, we can't afford to get medical treatment with a $3000 dollar deductible. Let all the fat cats pay! You know the ones with a high school diploma, making 80k or more! Which is almost everyone in some departments. Unusable insurance. Can't have surgery done!

Las Vegas

My good friend, a RN at Southern Hills Hospital, Las Vegas just got her layoff notice effective 10/3. It’s too bad, she would’ve been vested with the company the following month. (6 years). It’s too bad company’s treat their employees this way. Their focus is on profit, not patient care. I guess now they’ll dump more patients on the limited amount of staff there, but of course, CEO’s will still maintain their pay. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians! They could easily maintain adequate staff by just cutting a few from the top, and keeping the worker bees.

Cheaper pay for same roles

Looking at internal jobs and they are hiring for current roles at a grade lower with lower pay then what we are paid now for these roles. Are we being set up to be laid off or fired so they can replace us at lower pay? Are they gonna lay us off and make us apply for these roles to pay us less? Will any of us that make it through layoffs getting a bonus or raise?

Inflation, Stagnant Wages, and Rising Insurance Costs

Over the past two years, soaring inflation has eroded household budgets while Bank of America held salary increases well below cost of living gains, leaving real wages stagnant as unemployment ticks up to its highest level in over two years; at the same time, health insurance costs are climbing, premiums are set to rise around 6 percent next year and average deductibles are increasing further squeezing workers’ finances.

What comprehensive measures can individuals take? Do you suggest any tactics to deal with this?

What are employees in North America supposed to do?

The layoff list was reportedly prepared starting in June and July, and it is now being referred to as "P25 Version 2." What’s concerning is that many positions in North America are being eliminated and shifted to lower-cost countries. This raises a critical question: what are employees in North America supposed to do? This feels like regional discrimination, and there's a complete lack of transparency in how these decisions are made. Previously, employees had the option to ask anonymous questions during all-hands meetings, but that feature has now been restricted. It’s hard not to wonder if there’s a hidden agenda behind these changes. Transparency and open communication are essential leaders should be willing to face tough questions without fear.
Moreover, has there ever been a consideration to reduce executive salaries many of which are quite substantial as a cost-saving measure? Even a partial reduction could potentially help avoid job cuts and reduce the overall operating cost. Doing so could also restore some of the goodwill that SAP was once known for.
Finally, assessments should be made mandatory across all roles, including for managers. Employees’ futures should not be left solely to the discretion of their managers. A fair and skills-based evaluation system is necessary to ensure accountability and equality across the board

Bumping this from @ne+1k4m2z208 for being on point.

Complete 180

Fiserv used to be a dream job for engineers, but now it’s like a factory for burnout. Pay is nowhere near where it should be, promotions stall all the time, and the best talent is constantly leaving for greener pastures. It’s painful watching a once-great place erode to this level.

Do we win a prize for keeping our jobs?

What do we get at the end of this layoff, besides more work and a continued paycheck? Trust is broken. Some of us are feel like that's not worth it and can jump ship with or without a job lined up. Is someone going to try to throw a d-mb pizza party? Or are we going to be compensated for going through this horsesh-t?
