Verizon is getting chaper for contractors

It is funny after being laid off since last may ,I got a recruiter call for a RF/SP position with Vz on W2 salary of 38/hr non negotiable (no benefit) lol.. I am so saddened.

And they asking for all scripting experience on top of all RF/SP experience . its brutal everyone. stick to your Vz job like your life depends on it.

Low Balling Separation Packages?

My friend at HQ was just impacted. He was JG 16 and he said they wanted him to sign a "mutual" separation form. Then he could keep his Stock options, but get NO severance. He has 20+ years with the company - this is so crazy. So 3M is going cheap now? Does anyone else have more information on how 3M is now doing separation packages?

Contractor Position

I was offered a position as a contractor with very low pay through two staffing companies, and the final link is Capgemini. Interesting... they take a big share of the negotiations, which has been a trend since I was a FTE at TU.

Anyway, I didn't accept the offer. I know the TU culture is toxic, and I would probably be overworked.

Any thoughts?

What is at stake when you work for Pearson?

Companies like AWS, Meta or any FAANG and mostly other companies for that matter, ki-l your job when they either fire you or do mass layoffs.

In contrast, working at Pearson, they ki-l your own career! Most people are either ignorant or overlook it. The stakes are very high with low pay when you work for Pearson. You are literally low balling your own career, your prime working life for a company that is highly unstable and no growth!

Nearly 1 million were laid off this year

In case people are wondering why the job market is so employee-unfriendly, with so many people laid off and looking for work, including skilled, high-quality candidates, it’s no wonder employers are lowering requirements and lowballing offers. Something tells me things will get worse before they get better.

Life is SO much better post Fido...

I worked my a-s off for this company for ten years and barely broke 65k. With news of the NM layoffs, I decided to look elsewhere and found loads of companies hiring. I immediately found employment making over 70k starting. It just su-ks to think back on how dedicated I was to this place and was given such a low ball offer to mine to Covington. Up yours Crystal! Life is so much better outside of the bullsh-t corporate green Fidelity umbrella!
