It’s not just FDS they’re sc--wing over. They’ve been calling it a one-time offer: you had to agree during a specific window. If you didn’t sign in time, joined or moved in later, or dropped out for whatever reason - sorry, nothing anyone can do. You can always try renegotiating your salary, but we all know how that conversation usually goes. Dropping out is easy - sorry you volunteered to help out on a non SC account for a month or two after all!

@37j spoke to acas and they said its a unilateral contract change, they need to find you a new role or consult for redundancy...im on an account where we are pushing for 20 years redundancy

Incase you are wondering why, its because they are coming up to the 1 year aniversary of the tupe of FDS employees into DXC so they legaly have to offer the same payments to all dxc staff as FDS are DXC employees. thats 1000+ SC cleared engineers they dont want to pay so they offered the current DXC a move to flex fund and Sc--wed over the FDS staff :D

So... I don't have a need to hold SC in my contract... What happens if I say I won't do it unless I get the bonus? This is on an account that changed after I started.

@2bm Not if you missed out because you were on another account for a bit and missed the inclusion criteria. Now back in SC land, but spent some time out of it and it stopping coming, so sounds like I missed out. Nobody's mentioned it....

@2bk It wasn’t pensionable before and isn’t pensionable now. No change. Previously it was subject to retaining clearance and working on a secure account. That requirement has gone away, so anyone moving to a non-secure account will keep it in their flex. A net benefit from DXC, for a change.

Haven't they moved it from salary to flex? That means they don't pay pensions contribution on it...

Another DXC spin win. When we first got this payment it was presented as an instead of a pay rise. But a nice 4-5% extra. Now they've taken it away and given it as a pay rise. Hey DXC just gave you a 4-5% pay award be hankful!! Oh that was the pay rise for this year!! Nice one DXC. You're not fooling anyone!

@146 DXC does what it likes! What they meant was - they plan to leave it running for a year, and they did that! So anything else is a bonus. Global HR does not know what you're on about. This is neich payment to a few UK staff. If you somehow drop off the list, good luck getting back on it. Even the managers say if you want more money - just quit.

If you look at the letter signed when the retention bonuses were agreed, it says the allowance will be "reviewed on an annual basis". Given that it was agreed at the end of March 2023, that means it's not due a review until March 2026

Classic DXC. Stop intentionally or otherwise. A few people notice. The complaints get lost in HR. Management hear nobody noticed, complained, stopped working or resigned. Assume nobody is awake so we can stop paying everyone. DXC 1, Staff 0, Clients who cares!!

@yk "I've asked HR but get no response." That is official HR policy, they pretend staff don't exist and if you somehow fight through all the Employee Connect hoops and manage to raise a case, they just auto close it because you didn't respond in time, even though they never ask a question.

@yh Mine also didn't come through in August either. I had a person circumstances change which I contacted vetting for and assumed it might have been related. I've asked HR but get no response.

I started getting a retention bonus about 2 to 3 years ago and it was tied into one or two of the secure accounts I was working on at the time. An SC was pre requiste. There was an all hands teams call from a client site bigging it up with lots of BS. It was paid quarterly, it wasn't much to be honest but due to non existent pay rises for years and years it was kind of welcome. Anyway I was supposed to get it in August having had the last one in May. I didn't get it in August. No announcement no letter no nothing which I'm not surprised this is DXC after all. By the way I've been here since CSC days quite a way back. I don't know if I'm going to be officially told or not, I don't know if it's going on salary or flex or getting nowt. No idea if there is a pay rise this year. I've moved accounts a bit recently and my SC is going through its renewal I wasn't sure if it was anything to do with that. But I've stopped applying logic to decisions made by the higher ups a long time ago maybe it's just cost cutting which I'm well used to sadly.

It was given instead of a pay rise a few years ago. New staff since have come in on better salaries anyway. Maybe even DXC has realise it would be best to just pay people properly and helps remove comparison complaints. If you lose your clearance because you've been naughty you should probably be losing your job at the same time!

@ce TY so what possibly could be the rational of no longer paying for new employees? I suppose gov work is becoming more scarce at DXC?

@ax it's a UK government security clearance. Needed to work on secure accounts and takes a long time to obtain so dxc needed to keep people who had it or those customers would be impossible to support. Hence the sweetener.

if you get the payment for SC now, you'll keep getting it. If you don't get it now and get SC, you wont get it.

Monthly instead of quarterly, on flex pay.

So for those who know, can you tell us when this happening? Will we be losing it altogether?

No need to pay it for new hires as they will be on good money anyway 😆🫣

You’ll still get the same amount just paid monthly with flex fund and no longer tied to retention. Only cancelled for new hires. We were told to expect a letter about it next week.
