VMware Merge

Heard from a couple of folks that Dell is planning to re-buy VMware for a large amount. Any truth to it?

Dehumanizing and deeply hypocritical

Micromanagement, badge tracking, and forced compliance don’t build trust—they break it. If remote work was successful, if morale was higher—then why are we now being told the opposite? We deserve honest answers. We deserve leadership that respects... — read more

Another week of worrying about layoffs

With constant layoffs, office politics and zero innovation - Dell product quality has been declining over the past few years.

When is next round

As managers are being demoted actively now and over the next few weeks, I presume they will lay off engineers also ?

No need for concern

With Fort Zero hitting the market Dell will have cornered zero trust. I expect a lot of hiring for that market line.

The quiet thesis of burnout culture

It’s exactly what’s playing out at Dell, and honestly, across a lot of legacy tech companies right now. They’ve maxed out the extraction model.    •   Fewer people, more work.    •   Stagnant pay, rising expectations.    •   Loyalty demanded, but... — read more

Makes no sense at all

What’s the point of bringing in new hires when we’re all just waiting for the next round of layoffs? Makes zero sense. Feels like we’re just setting people up to fail.

20:1 ratio

There are still many many managers with only a few reports so none of the demotions to IC has happened yet Anyone know when this is to be completed?
